Barbara Ruth Sherlock, age 84, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died&nbsp; November 5, 2020 at Gothenburg Health.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Barbara Ruth was born on October 3, 1936, in Farnam, NE. She was the middle child of Elma and Clifford Nickerson. Barb attended Farnam Public School, graduating with the class of 1954. She attended Kearney State College and received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economic Education in 1957. Barb began her teaching career in Franklin, Nebraska. She taught in schools in Kansas, Colorado, and finished her teaching career in Brady, Nebraska. Barb was a life-long educator, retiring in 1998. She still continued to substitute for several years in Brady and Maxwell, Nebraska.

Barbara married Philip Sherlock on August 20, 1966, in West Minster, CO. Barb and Phil lived in Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska eventually settling in Farnam. After Phil’s death, Barb moved to Gothenburg. Barbara enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially her nieces and nephews. She loved doing crafts, sewing, and always enjoyed a good book. She enjoyed lunches with friends old and new at the Senior Center.

Barb was preceded in death by: parents, Clifford and Elma Nickerson; husband, Philip Sherlock; brother, Clifford "Nick" Nickerson; and sister-in-law, Pearl Nickerson; sister Madeline "Madie" Widick; nephews, Brad Nickerson and Clinton Nickerson.&nbsp;

Survivors include nieces: Priscilla Meester of Lexington, Nebraska; Amanda (Brian) Woolley of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; Kelsey G'Schwind of&nbsp; Kearney, Nebraska; Karmen Widicka and Linda Moody of Ceresco, Nebraska, Kim (Todd) Rosenthal of Lincoln, Nebraska, Andrea Nickerson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Brittany Nickerson Myles of Apollo Beach, Florida;&nbsp; nephews: Gregg Widick and Tom Eckery of Lincoln, Nebraska, Charles Rosenthal of Omaha, Nebraska, Nick Rosenthal of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother-in-law: Ralph Widick of Farnam, Nebraska; along with many friends and former students.

Private inurnment will be held in the Farnam Cemetery, next to her parents.

Dixie D. Thompson, age 77, of Cozad, Nebraska formerly of Elwood, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Emerald Nursing Home and Rehab in Cozad.

Dixie was born August 13, 1943 in Lexington, Nebraska to Walter and Leona (Welliver) Renker. She attended school in the Lexington School system. On May 21, 1962 she was united in marriage to Buzz Jorges in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and to this union two daughters were born: Stephanie and Ambra. The couple would later divorce. In 1971 she was united in marriage to Bob Perkins and to this union one daughter, Melissa, was born.

Dixie had lived in Elwood, Holdrege Sidney and Cody areas in Nebraska. When in the Elwood area, she had worked at the Eagles Club and the Blue Lounge, she had also managed Lakeside Country Club at Johnson Lake. In 1995 she purchased the Long Branch Bar in Arthur, Nebaska which she owned for eleven years until it burnt down. After the fire she moved back to Elwood then to Holdrege and then in 2017 she returned to Elwood to be near her daughter, Melissa.

Dixie loved laughing, making memories with friends and family including camping and traveling. Dixie loved people and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa and husband Tom Martin of Elwood, Nebraska; one brother, Glen“Buddy” Renker of Lexington, Nebraska; grandchildren, Alexa (Andrew) Chrisinger, Manon Martin, Hadley Martin, Jacei Spangler, Micki Kramer, Jodi Marshall, Shaton Arellano, Chase Hackbart, Kolden Hackbart, Zach Hackbart and Tyelon Hackbart; great-grandchildren, Kealy Kocembia, Kayden Kramer, Kamry Kramer, Kyan Kramer, Mia Gifford, Tyce Hackbart, Reagan Chrisinger, Maecyn Chrisinger, Hayden Chrisinger, Ace Chrisinger and Stella Hackbart; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many friends.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Ambra Marshall and Stephanie Hackbart; one granddaughter, Destiny; one brother, Robert “Cobbie” Renker, three sisters: Janice Eaton, Phyllis Fravel and Katherine Woodhead and a very special friend Barbara Peterson.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Rex Adams officiating. The service will be livestreamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska.

Social distancing and face masks are encouraged.

Interment will be in Elwood Cemetery at Elwood, Nebraska.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;DeLores Ann "Dee" Taylor was born on May 20, 1930 to Edward and Dora (Nordhausen) Denker on their farm south of Wauneta, Nebraska.&nbsp; Dee was baptized, schooled, confirmed and married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church out on the South Divide. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dee's childhood revolved around church and family.&nbsp; The Nordhausen and Denker clans were a prodigious group of Greman immigrants that resulted in a multitude of cousins with which to spend time with.&nbsp; Most Sundays after church lead to a family gathering at one of the relative's farm.&nbsp; In later years, attendance at the tri-annual Nordhausen Happening was not to be missed.&nbsp; Most people don't know that the family spent part of a year (in the mid-1930's) in New York City, where Dee attended a Brooklyn school. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On October 16, 1949, Dee married a fellow South Divider named Jim Taylor.&nbsp; Dee and Jim spent the first dozen years of their marriage on the original Hartzer (Taylor) homestead in the beautiful frame house that still stands today (claimed now by the Bartel's Family). &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;While living on the homestead, they engaged in farming and childbearing that resulted in three girls and a son:&nbsp; Cindi Sue, Lorna Lou, Doreen Dru, and Joshua D.&nbsp; No more children were required after the "ten pound boy" came along. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;After several successive years of unfortunate weather events, Jim decided to look for greener pastures to give a try.&nbsp; That led to a move onto a farm on the Stink'n Water Creek north of Hamlet, Nebraska.&nbsp; A true Huck Fin experience for the kids, but Dee was a bit taken back by the available residence. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dee's work ethic was legendary, and she put it to good use cleaning and organizing the shack on the Stink'n Water Creek and turned it into a livable space for the family, but the effort was continuous.&nbsp; Though a small house, Dee could make it accommodate a gathering of many relatives.&nbsp; After 10 years, Jim and Dee moved closer to Hamlet and built a newer 'modern' home.&nbsp; That work ethic kept the new house meticulous, the large farmyard fabulously manicured and Jim well dressed. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Whereas Jim had his John Deere, Dee had her Singer sewing machine.&nbsp; she spent hours sewing, working her magic with thread and needle making clothes for her stylish daughters and other household items.&nbsp; Jackie O would have been jealous. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Having the grandkids visit was always eventful and brought them a lot of joy.&nbsp; During their retirement, Dee and Jim enjoyed golfing (Dee was the better player) and traveling.&nbsp; Dee lived in her modern house until 2012, at which time she moved to Imperial Heights Assisted Living in Imperial, Nebraska.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Faith and family were everything to&nbsp; Dee.&nbsp; Being of German Lutheran stock set the foundation for her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, which she handed down to her children.&nbsp; Missing church was not an option, no matter the conditions:&nbsp; rain, snow, wind hail, or muddy rutted roads were no match for this stubborn German girl.&nbsp; She was dedicated to Jesus to the core and to her last breath. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On the afternoon of November 5, 2020, at the age of 90, Jesus came calling.&nbsp; She now rejoices with Him in Heaven with the hosts of saints, and is surely reunited with all those cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who also leaned on Jesus. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; her brothers and their spouses: Donnie and Joanne Denker, Kenny and Cleophia Denker; her little sister and her husband, Diann and Dean Widger; and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Taylor. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She is survived by her children Cindi (George) Hallett of Imperial, Nebraska, Lorna Taylor of Wauneta, Nebraska, Doreen (Gary) Mohr of Enders, Nebraska, and Josh Taylor of Hamlet, Nebraska; and numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and cousins. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;This is the day the Lord has made.&nbsp; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dee's funeral service will be on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. MST at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 233 South Arapahoe St, Wauneta, Nebraska officiated by Pastors David Kahle and Keith Willman.&nbsp; Dee's casket will be open before the services.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Wauneta's Riverside Cemetery. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The family has suggested no flowers, but memorials to the Mercy Meals of Southwest Nebraska and KNGN Lutheran Radio of McCook. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Online condolences may be left at LiewerFuneralHome.com.

Bill Ray Bigbee was born April 18, 1936 at the family farm near Wilmore, KS. He was the fourth of five children born to Ray E. and Esther (Ferrin) Bigbee. He passed away on November 4, 2020, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE.

Bill’s early childhood years were spent on the family farm in Wilmore where he began learning to farm. His schooling for the first two years was at Ridge Summit, a country school near their home, which then consolidated with Wilmore Grade School. In November 1942, Bill’s mother passed away. His father married Zenith Roderick (who loved Bill and his siblings as her own) in May 1948 and the family moved to a farm north of Merna, NE. During that move, Bill (age 12) helped drive a straight truck and put in the first corn crop by himself while his dad went back to Kansas to harvest wheat. Their first winter was a rude welcome to Nebraska as they endured the Blizzard of ’48. Bill finished grade school at a country school a few miles southeast of their farm. All through high school and three years following, he worked on Saturdays at Davolt's Grocery in Merna. Bill graduated in 1954 from Merna High School. After completing his education, he continued farming with his father.

On August 11, 1957, Bill was united in marriage to Phyllis Myers at the Lillian Church of Christ. They made their home north of Merna, NE for a short time, before moving west of Broken Bow where they were engaged in farming and ranching. It was here that they were blessed with five children: Carolyn, Jeanette, Kathy, Mike, and Linda. Their first land purchase was the Bates farm in the Lillian community. When Bill’s dad retired in 1975, Bill and Phyllis were able to purchase his dad’s original farm north of Merna. In 1994, Bill and Phyllis built a home on the northwest edge of Broken Bow, continuing with farming and ranching until his death.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A longtime member of Lillian Church of Christ, Bill was baptized in November of 1966. He was a part of the church board for several years, served on the school board of Prairie Hill District #74 most of the years his children were in grade school, and was a director on the Broken Bow Cooperative Marketing Association Board for many years.

In addition to being a successful farmer/rancher, Bill was mechanically gifted. He was able to repair, build, or modify nearly anything to solve a problem. A special project he was pleased to accomplish, with the assistance of a grandson, was restoring his 706 International tractor. He was able to use it in some tractor pulls and the Merna parade, pulling a “Bee-hive” trailer filled with his entire family. He also enjoyed pasture rides, especially when using his 4-wheeler with the wagon he built for giving rides to his grandchildren.

Highlights of the last few months include a surprise revealing of the restoration of his first tractor (a 1955 300 Farmall completed by a grandson), a big gathering at the farm with most of his family attending, and being able to participate in several days of harvest.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Phyllis, of 63 years; children, Carolyn (Jeff) Warren of Norfolk, NE,&nbsp; Jeanette (Rusty) Parker of Norfolk, NE, Kathy (Dan) Smith of Pleasant Hill, IA, Mike (Tania) Bigbee of Arnold, NE, and Linda Mosel of Merna, NE; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Bigbee; and sister-in-law, Joan Myers.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother; infant brother, Richard Bigbee; sisters, Norma (Willard) Johnson and Joan (Bill) Lyddon; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Darlene Bigbee, Ruth Lea (Ray) Flannery, and Rex Myers.

Bill always enjoyed a good laugh. Even as he endured all the medical procedures in his last few years, he was ready with a quip or joke. We recall with fondness his teasing, especially of the children in his family, including nieces and nephews, and his practical jokes. We will miss him, but are thankful for his legacy of grit, hard work, and humor.

Bill Ray Bigbee  (1936-2020)

Trevis Glenn Kraus passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 in Cozad at the age of 42.&nbsp; Trevis was born on January 1, 1978 in North Platte, Nebraska to Ronald &amp; Judy (Malcom) Kraus.&nbsp; He was the youngest of their four children.

Trevis attended Cozad Community Schools and earned his GED in 1996.&nbsp; Trevis held a variety of jobs throughout his life, but his favorite seemed to involve working on different farms in the community, truck driving as well as beekeeping.

Trevis had two dogs, Blue and Duke, that he cared for deeply.&nbsp; He took care of them as if they were his children.&nbsp; Fishing was his favorite pastime.&nbsp; At family gatherings, he loved to tease and play with his nieces and nephews - most of all, schooling them in the latest video games!&nbsp; He also loved to cook for people when he could, finding the hottest sauce in the house to spice it up.&nbsp; Oh, the look on his face when you had a spare bottle of Tabasco with a few beers to go.&nbsp; Trevis was a big kid at heart who had quite the sense of humor, and fairly strong opinions about the world and what goes on around it - he would be sure you were listening.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Trevis was a cancer survivor, but was taken away from us way too soon due to a heart attack.&nbsp; Although we mourn the loss here on Earth, we know Trevis stood on the Solid Rock of Faith which anchored his soul through every battle.&nbsp; He had his fair share of challenges, but knew God never left his side.

Trevis was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald &amp; Judy Kraus, and two infant brothers.

Trevis is survived by his older brother, Toy Kraus (Angel) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Tawnya Jackson (Jeff) of Cozad, Nebraska; and sister Traci Wall (Jeff) of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; nieces Brittany Minor (James) of Whidbey Island, Washington, Brooke Kraus of Owasso, Oklahoma, Brielle Kraus of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Ronelle Jackson of Columbus, Nebraska, Karissa Jackson of Cozad, Nebraska, and Ahnika and Addison Svajgr of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; nephew Alex Svajgr of Johnson Lake, Nebraska; great nephew Alexander and great niece Caleigh Minor of Whidbey Island, Washington; and great nephew Brixton Troy Hamm of Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation.&nbsp; Cremation was chosen.&nbsp; There will be no book signing.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel, 620 East 22nd Street, Cozad, Nebraska.

Ronald Maurice "Mose" Hebbert age 90 of passed away on November 2, 2020 at the Box Bute Hospital in Alliance.

Ronald Maurice “Mose” Hebbert was born March 29, 1930 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alliance, NE.&nbsp; His parents were Albert and Ima Fern (Shepard) Hebbert.&nbsp; Mose was the oldest of five children. He was raised in the Sandhills of Nebraska in the Gordon and Ashby area, and he attended high school at the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis, NE, graduating with the class of 1948. It was here he met the love of his life, Merla Lenore Rex. On September 18, 1949, they were married in Hyannis, NE.&nbsp; Mose and Merla started out their married life working with Merla’s parents, Merle and Opal Rex on what is now the Hebbert Charolais Ranch. Mose and Merla had five children, all of whom helped on the ranch as they grew up.&nbsp; Mose and Dave began raising Charolais cattle and hold a yearly bull sale in the spring.&nbsp; This past April marked the 38th&nbsp;annual sale.

Mose grew up riding and working with horses.&nbsp; He started haying at the age of six on a horse drawn scatter rake.&nbsp; He fed hay using work horses until the early 1980’s. Mose was a Gold Card member of the Nebraska State Rodeo Association and was a member of the Senior Pro Rodeo Association, competing in the team roping event.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 1972, he was the Runner up Team Roping Champion in the Nebraska State Rodeo Association, winning the Nebraska Finals Rodeo TR average that year, partnering with his son, Dave. &nbsp;Mose and Merla attended a variety of events in support of their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, as well as anyone else they knew who were competing. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Mose was honored as a Legacy Breeder by the American Quarter Horse Association, for having raised Quarter Horses for 50 consecutive years. He was a recipient of the Sautter Memorial Award and was inducted into the Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame. He loved his mares and liked to watch the offspring become successful ranch and arena horses.

Mose was a quiet, gentle, honest, and kind man who touched many lives. He was a friend to all, young and old. He embraced humor, with a twinkle in his eye, and loved wholeheartedly.

Mose is survived by his wife of 71 years, Merla. Daughters Toni Knott of Arthur, Terry Wilson of Hastings, Cheryl (Jim) Sheets of Mullen, Tami (Pat) Taylor of Seneca, and daughter-in-law Mickie Hebbert of Hyannis. Grandchildren Matthew (Lacy) Hebbert, Jake Hebbert, Joshua Hebbert, Sami Knott, Jennie (Dan) Dyer, Jessie Knott, Chelsie Wilson, Randi (Mark) Jensen, Travis (Randus) Sheets, 17 great grandkids and one great-great grandson. He is also survived by his brothers Roger Hebbert, Gary (Charlene) Hebbert, brother-in-law Jerome Clemens.

Mose was preceded in death by son David, son-in-law Mick Knott, infant grandson Michael Knott, granddaughter Tessa Wilson, brother Gene Hebbert, sister Pinky Clemens.

A visitation and life celebration will be held on Thursday November 5, 2020 at the Hebbert Sale Barn in Hyannis, NE from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM MT.&nbsp;

Burial will be at a later date at the Hyannis Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Hyannis Fire Department or the Hyannis Ambulance.&nbsp; Mullen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Boyd W. Miller  (1942-2020)

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On October 29, 2020, H. Cory Hock, 64, passed away due to a recently diagnosed medical condition. Cory was born on May 30, 1956 and lived most of his life in Denver, Colorado. Yet it was fitting that he passed away in Imperial, Nebraska, his favorite hunting and fishing “honey hole.” &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He attended Emmaus Lutheran School during his younger years, then Lutheran High School for one year, and completed his education at North High School. He was an accomplished builder and had the skill to fix just about anything. Cory took pride in working very hard to support his family, and he completed his successful career as a Construction Superintendent in which he won many safety awards. Throughout his career, Cory assembled a significant crew of loyal coworkers who enjoyed working for him because of the care he demonstrated on and off the jobsite. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;An avid hunter and fisher, Cory was an adventurous outdoorsmen at heart. He looked forward to leaving behind the crowded city and spending time surrounded by God’s creation with a few close family members or friends. He patiently taught others how to appreciate these hobbies, and successfully planted a passion for fishing and exploring in the hearts of his grandsons, Judah and Eli. During his retirement, Cory volunteered his time as a park ranger, kept the many bird feeders in his backyard well stocked, beautifully restored antique firearms, and spoiled his grandsons as often as possible. Cory had nicknames for everyone and everything, and he connected with many through his silly sense of humor. We cherish the funny memories he has left us with. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Cory is survived by Kris Hock, to whom he was married for 40 years, his daughter, Jessica Albin (Lance, Judah, and Eli), and his son, Jared Hock. Additionally, his loving sisters, Jodi Garmatz (Joe) and Jill Sheyko (Russ), who unconditionally supported him, especially during the last months of his life. Cory was preceded in death by his parents, Dyanne Hock Bennett and Fredrick William Hock (Bill), and his nephew, Jeff Cox. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;An outdoor celebration of Cory’s life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 3pm at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. H. Cory Hock  (1956-2020)

Vivian Illene “Bee” Hansen, age 72 of North Platte, Nebraska passed away November 3, 2020 at her home.

Bee was born on March 29, 1948 in Arnold, Nebraska to Frank and Winnie (Hughes) Cassell.

Bee graduated from Stapleton High School in Stapleton, Nebraska. On August 7, 1966 she married Marvin A. Hansen in Stapleton. The couple moved to Moorefield, NE and worked for Kenny and Wilma White. In 1971 they moved to North Platte for Marvin to attend the Voc-tech. They moved to Oberlin, Kansas where they owned and operated Hansen’s Plumbing and Heating for over 40 years. After retirement they moved back to North Platte to be closer to their family.

Bee was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church.&nbsp; She spent a number of years sending quilts that she made overseas, as a part of the church group. She loved working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. Everyone that knew her was convinced they were the most important person in her life.

Survivors include her sons, Mark (Cammie) Hansen of Castle Rock, CO, and Michael (Nancy) Hansen of North Platte; grandchildren, Kaycie (David) Naglowsky of Castle Rock, CO, Sydnee Hansen of North Platte and Alex (Charity) Hansen-Nomads, Max Hansen of Kearney, Britlyn Hansen and Brandon (Roxy) Kailey all of Castle Rock, CO, and Cody Wright and Cole Wright both of North Platte; great-grandchild, Aerick Naglowsky; sisters, Kathy Hansen of Moorefield, and Janey Jacobson of Wolbach; sisters-in-law, Velda Cassell of Stapleton, Artis Hansen of Brady, and Norma Lee Hansen of Superior; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Larry Sheets of North Platte.

Kenneth R. Fahnholz, age 78, of Hershey, Nebraska died November 1, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte, Nebraska. He was born June 4, 1942 in Arapahoe, Nebraska to Richard and Leona (Schievelbein) Fahnholz.

Kenneth graduated from North Platte High School and worked many different jobs before hiring on with Union Pacific Railroad. He worked for UPPR for 37 years, then Railway Express for 12 years.

Kenneth was a member of Maria Lutheran Church in Hershey, Nebraska. He raised mules and was involved in 4-H. He belonged to a horse club and traveled with them. He was a very likable person who made friends everywhere he went.

Survivors include his mother, Leona of North Platte; daughter Connie Porter of Denver, CO; brother, Darrell (Kay) Fahnholz of Callaway, NE.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister Geraldine Bettcher.

Kenneth R. Fahnholz  (1942-2020)

Harold V. Reeves, age 88 of North Platte, Nebraska passed away October 31, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.

Harold was born on May 28, 1932 at his parent’s home in North Platte to William and Henrietta (Greeley) Reeves.

He attended North Platte Public Schools, graduating in 1950. He was employed at Montgomery Wards and Cook’s Paint before being hired by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1951. He worked for the railroad 44 years before retiring.&nbsp;&nbsp; On November 2, 1990 he married Lois Fisher in North Platte, combining their families.

Harold enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, going out on his pontoon, hunting as a young boy, playing horseshoes, and loved ice cream.

Survivors include his wife, Lois of North Platte; children, Kathy (Joe) Marada of Woodland, CA, Jody Boron of North Platte, Judy Reeves of North Platte, and Danny Boron of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren, Karli (John) Hoffmeier of AZ, Sam, Nathan, Kyle Roos all of North Platte, Gage &amp; Paige Musser, DJ Salisbury, Nina (Shaun) Cooper all of North Platte, Lana (Adam) Wolfe of Utah, Bree (Dennis) Hessel, Holly (Nathan) Snyder, and Karie (Lester) Sheets all of North Platte; brother, Merle Reeves of North Platte; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Karla; son, Kenny; and six sisters.

Donna Klumpe Andrijeski Black, age 80, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.

She was born to Henry G. and Martha (Hahn) Klumpe on September 25, 1940 in Hayes Center, Nebraska. She grew up in the Wellfleet area and graduated from Curtis High School in 1958.

Donna was united in marriage to Ronald Andrijeski on December 29, 1959 at Wellfleet, NE, after which the couple lived in Pensacola, FL while Ron finished his military career. They then moved to the family farm in the Hayes Center Area. From this union 3 children were born, Michael, Tami and Mark. In 1989 Donna was married to Dick Black. The couple resided at the family farm in rural Wellfleet until moving to North Platte in 2002.

She is survived by her husband, Dick, children, Michael (Jenay) Andrijeski of Oxford, NE, Tami Mues (Darren) of Holdrege, NE and Mark (Carla) Andrijeski of Holdrege, NE; step daughters, Colleen (Black) Kramer of Lemoore, CA and Terri (Black) Moran of Kearney, NE; brother, Norbert (Betty) Klumpe of Maywood, NE ; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one nephew.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Norman.&nbsp;

Kelly B. “Kal-Kan” Tockey, age 62 of Hershey, Nebraska died October 31, 2020 at his home of 33 years in Hershey. He was born on October 12, 1958 at Grand Island, Nebraska to Thomas Paul Tockey and Eleanor Emily Harders.&nbsp; Kal-Kan grew up in the Grand Island area. His family moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1973.

Kal-Kan met the love of his life and best friend, Miss Peggy Sue Burk. They began their journey in North Platte, Nebraska on March 31, 1979 and were soon blessed with a son, Bradley M. “Scooter” Tockey.&nbsp; Kelly’s first job was for Cricks Grocery Store in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 14 and &nbsp;later worked for Bob Stone Sanitation of North Platte and then he embarked on a 41 ½ year career as a fireman and oiler for the Union Pacific Rail Road. He retired October 15, 2018.

He was President of the ABATE of Nebraska and was a dedicated leader of the Road MC for 36 years. Kal-Kan always showed kindness and empathy for new people in his life. He never met a stanger and never needed anything from anyone, except a good friend, who quickly became family.

Kal-Kan is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Peggy Sue Tockey; parents, Thomas and Eleanor Tockey of Maxwell, Nebraska; brothers, Michael &nbsp;Tockey of Brady, Nebraska and Bradley Tockey of Maxwell, Nebraska; sisters, Deborah (Jeff) Simonton of North Platte, Nebraska and Kimberly Parrett and Amy Tockey of Maxwell, Nebraska; mother in law, Barbara Burk of North Platte; sister in laws, &nbsp;Teresa (Rick) Gier of Nampa, ID and Michelle (Ryan) Strickland of North Platte; and MANY aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and all of his club brothers and friends. We cannot forget his beloved Rottweiler, Guenther.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Tonya was born in Valentine, Nebraska to Marcy and Ed Steward on May 20, 1976.&nbsp; She passed away on October 29, 2020 in Kearney, Nebraska after a courageous battle with cancer. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Tonya lived life to the fullest.&nbsp; Through her life she lived in various towns, from Las Vegas, Nevada to Valentine, Nebraska.&nbsp; During her adventures in life, she touched several lives. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;She attended school in Cody, Nebraska; Chadron, Nebraska; Gordon, Nebraska; and Valentine, Nebraska.&nbsp; Her favorite activities were cheerleading and putting smiles on people's faces.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On November 17, 1996 she welcomed her first son, Tyrell Justin Moseman, and on June 27, 2005 she welcomed her second son, Teylor Michael Mehrens with Tom David Mehrens. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On June 7, 2008, Tonya and Tom joined into a wonderful, loving marriage.&nbsp; In 2012, she studied massage therapy at Universal College of Healing Arts.&nbsp; She went on to start an amazing career to help many people with their pain. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Tonya leaves behind her husband, Tom David Mehrens; her two sons, Tyrel Justing Mosemann (Hailee) and Teylor Michael Mehrens; her parents Marcy Stewart &amp; Jim Walsh, and Ed Stewart; her brother Larry Stewart; grandmother Bonnie Stewart; aunts and uncles Marie Belt (Ron, Allen Hayford (Renee), harold (Donna) Hayford, Calvin (Stella) Hayford, and Kathy (Russ) Carr and their sons Steve, Kevin, and Rodney. Tonya Mehrens  (1976-2020)

Walter Earl Griffith passed away on Sunday, November 1st&nbsp;at his home in Broken Bow, Nebraska while surrounded by family.

Walter, son of Cleon Sherman Griffith and Iva Katherine (Boyd) Griffith was born March 12th, 1939 in the family home south of Broken Bow. Walter attended country school until fourth grade when his family moved into town. He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1957 and lived his entire life in Custer County, Nebraska. Walter married Loretta Stewart on July 12th, 1964 in Sargent, Nebraska. Less than a year later Walter and Loretta both accepted Christ as their savior. They joined Broken Bow Berean Fundamental church and helped with the youth ministry for several years. Walt and Loretta were blessed with five children, Ken, Mark, Tom, Stephen, and Tricia. Little Stephen died at birth. Walter supported his family in many ways over the years with jobs in construction, farm equipment sales, motorcycle sales and repair, farming, and computer consulting. His biggest passion in life was his relationship with Christ and studying the Bible. He also enjoyed his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Walter is survived by his wife Loretta, his children Ken (Janet) Griffith of Broken Bow, NE, Mark (Sonya) Griffith of Kearney, NE, Tom (Heather) Griffith of Merna, NE, Tricia (Jeff) Sabin of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Katherine (C.J.) Obradovich, Jacob (Megan) Griffith, Cody (Courtney) Griffith, Elizabeth Berck, Victoria Griffith, Josiah Griffith, Ethan (Elizabeth) Griffith, Jobeth (Brian) Winkelman, Jentry Griffith, Amanda Sabin, and Nathan Sabin; brother Dillard Griffith; sisters Gloria Triggs, Carol Jean Smith and Linda Widick.

Little Stephen died at birth. Walter supported his family in many ways over the years with jobs in construction, farm equipment sales, motorcycle sales and repair, farming, and computer consulting. His biggest passion in life was his relationship with Christ and studying the Bible. William B. Cavitt  (1949-2020)

Robert Donald Pierce, age 94, died October 30, 2020 at his home in Sumner, Nebraska, after a short illness.

Robert Pierce, better known as Bob, was born March 5, 1926 in Sumner, Nebraska to Jesse and Grace (Lahm) Pierce. Twelve days after his birth, his mother died from complications. Before her death, she and Jesse made the heart-wrenching decision to ask her sister, Mary, to raise the baby as her own. She and her husband, Ralph Scoville provided a loving home and seven younger sisters and brothers for Bob.&nbsp; Jesse later remarried to Lucille (Linville) and they gave Bob two half-brothers. Bob always said he was the luckiest guy in the world because he had two families.

Bob grew up in Sumner, attending the Sumner school all twelve years, and graduating in 1943. It was during high school that he changed his last name from Scoville back to Pierce, at Ralph’s urging. He worked on the Paul Porath farm for a short time and then took a job at the Fees Service Station in Eddyville, Nebraska until 1944 when he entered the U.S.&nbsp; Army at the age of 18. Shortly after basic training, he was shipped overseas.&nbsp; After 40 days of watching everyone around him fight sea-sickness, he landed on Leyte Island where he was assigned to the Americal Infantry Division, which was in combat on Cebu Island. Bob celebrated his 19th birthday in a foxhole on Leyte Island and spent 89 days in combat as an Infantry Rifleman. As a platoon runner, Bob carried his gear plus his platoon’s 50-pound radio, which was their lifeline, and only contact with headquarters.

After Cebu, the Americal division went into amphibious training in preparation for invading the mainland of Japan. While Bob was enroute to Japan, the Atomic bombs were dropped, and the war ended. Bob returned home in October 1946 and was discharged in November. It was not until his later years that he started sharing his experiences during the War. He was deeply impacted by those memories and was honored to be a veteran and to be part of the “Greatest Generation.”

On June 4, 1948, Bob married Marjorie Newquist who lived on a farm just west of Sumner. He worked for Scoville Oil Company for six years and then farmed with his father-in-law. In 1958, he became the Postmaster in Sumner and served as Postmaster until his retirement in 1989. During his tenure as Postmaster, and until his death, he continued to farm. Even at the age of 94 he enjoyed checking the cows.

It seems impossible to speak of consolation in the face of such loss, but the family takes great comfort in KNOWING that Bob will spend eternity in the presence of the Lord and a host of family and friends in heaven. Bob accepted Jesus as his savior during the summer of 1943 at Polk Bible Camp. He and Marj faithfully attended the Evangelical Free Church, which later became the United Church of Sumner, all their married life. They nurtured a Christ-loving family, opened their home to pastors and visiting missionaries, and served the Church in many different capacities for well over 60 years.

Bob loved farming, being involved in Church activities, and driving around the countryside. He enjoyed living in Sumner and was active in many aspects of community life. He belonged to the American Legion and the Commercial Club, he served on the School board and was a member of the Board for the Dawson County Transit Bus. Bob was a charter member of the Sumner Rescue Unit and served there for many years.

Above all this, he cherished his family, which was evidenced in his involvement in their lives. Even at 94, he attended as many birthday parties and ball games as his health would allow. He was more than pleased to know that his family was following in his footsteps, loving God, and humbly seeking His will.

Bob never knew a stranger and will always remain very much alive in the memories of those who loved and respected him. He leaves to treasure his memory, six children: Margene (Russ) Bauer, Amherst; Richard (Janna) Pierce, Miller; Ronald (Brenda) Pierce, Sumner; Marilyn (Lynn) Crouse, Hutchinson, KS; Marianne Pierce, Holdrege; and, Randall (Jean) Pierce, Sumner; 18 grandchildren and their spouses; 12 great grandchildren; one sister; four brothers and their spouses; two sisters-in-law; and, many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, his beloved wife Marjorie, one grandson, one sister, three brothers, five sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church of Sumner with Pastor Ken Hutson and Pastor Tom Macy, officiating. The service will be livestreamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska.

Interment with Military Honors will be in the Sumner Cemetery at Sumner, Nebraska.

Charlene Ann Titman  (1952-2020)

Robert “Bob” Lee Wurster Jr. went to be with Jesus on November 1, 2020 at his home in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; He was 64 years of age.&nbsp; He was born on May 22, 1956 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Robert L. Wurster Sr. and Ina (Newton) Wurster.&nbsp; Bob attended school in Gothenburg and Lewellen, Nebraska and graduated from Overton High School in Overton, Nebraska in 1974.&nbsp;

After meeting at a Christian singles conference in Grand Island, Nebraska, Bob married Mary Suzan Mockry at the Assembly of God Church in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; They celebrated 35 years of marriage on August 17, 2020.&nbsp; Bob worked for many years for the Dawson County Alfalfa Mill after which he was employed at Monroe Auto in Cozad, Nebraska for 22 years, retiring in 1998 due to health issues.&nbsp; Bob and Mary Sue lived in Lexington, Nebraska after their marriage until 2002 when they relocated to McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp;

While in Lexington, he was active in the Calvary Assembly of God Church as Royal Ranger Commander, attending national jamborees, driving busses, working with sound equipment, and taught Sunday School with Mary Sue.&nbsp; Bob was also active in the Marriage Encounter Program and men’s fellowship groups, holding office in the Full Gospel Businessman’s Fellowship.&nbsp; After moving to McCook, Bob became a member of the First Assembly of God and was as active as health would allow, driving bus, helping with the sound system, and he always looked forward to the time of fellowship with men’s Bible studies.&nbsp;

During years of good health, Bob loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed his dogs and cat; Peaches, Oscar, Polly, and Muffin will miss him.&nbsp; He loved all kinds of sports but was a true Husker fan.&nbsp; Later, he developed an interest in computer programming and repair, earning a diploma for computer repair.&nbsp; He had been striving for an Associates of Arts degree in the networking program areas.

Bob and Mary Sue had no children of their own, but foster care became very important to them.&nbsp; He loved those kids and throughout several years welcomed into his home Derrick, Jimmie, Antoinette, Jose, Tina, and Billie Jo.&nbsp; When they were able to be reunited with their families, each child took a piece of Bob’s heart with them.&nbsp; Being care givers for niece and nephew, Callie and Gunner Carlisle for 15 years created a special bond like no other.&nbsp; Gunner and Bob were Xbox partners.&nbsp;

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother-in-law, Jim Mockry; sister-in-law, Kay Mockry; brother, David Wurster; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Orville Mockry.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue; sister-in-law, Nancy and Charles Collins; brothers-in-law, Randy and Wanda Mockry, Robby and Angie Mockry; and sister-in-law, Julie Mockry, all of McCook; nephews: Chris Collins, Corey and Jill Collins, Jamie and Tress Mockry, Jacob Mockry; nieces: Codie and Jason Stephens, Cyndi Carlisle, Caitlyn Mockry, Elizabeth Borrink, Rebecca Mockry, Aleece and Travis Priest and Sarah Messersmith; special great-nieces and nephews: Jordyn, Coral, Cayden, and Camryn Collins; Noleigh and Kasyn Stephens; Aaron, Anita, James, and Liahm Mockry; and Alex and Josh Priest; brother, Clyde “Butch” and Rosie Vance; sisters: Georgia and Mike Evans, Connie and Tom Long, Irma Wagener, Jeri Johnson, Cindy and Dan Harmon, and Kathy Blauvelt; and other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends.

Bob was a kind man, always wanting to be used of the Lord.&nbsp; His words to you would be to study the Word and pray, staying always faithful to God.

 </figure>Robert “Bob” Lee Wurster Jr. went to be with Jesus on November 1, 2020 at his home in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; He was 64 years of age.&nbsp; He was born on May 22, 1956 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Robert L. Wurster Sr. and Ina (Newton) Wurster.&nbsp; Bob attended school in Gothenburg and Lewellen, Nebraska and graduated from Overton High School in Overton, Nebraska in 1974.&nbsp;After meeting at a Christian singles conference in Grand Island, Nebraska, Bob married Mary Suzan Mockry at the Assembly of God Church in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; They celebrated 35 years of marriage on August 17, 2020.&nbsp; Bob worked for many years for the Dawson County Alfalfa Mill after which he was employed at Monroe Auto in Cozad, Nebraska for 22 years, retiring in 1998 due to health issues.&nbsp; Bob and Mary Sue lived in Lexington, Nebraska after their marriage until 2002 when they relocated to McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp;While in Lexington, he was active in the Calvary Assembly of God Church as Royal Ranger Commander, attending national jamborees, driving busses, working with sound equipment, and taught Sunday School with Mary Sue.&nbsp; Bob was also active in the Marriage Encounter Program and men’s fellowship groups, holding office in the Full Gospel Businessman’s Fellowship.&nbsp; After moving to McCook, Bob became a member of the First Assembly of God and was as active as health would allow, driving bus, helping with the sound system, and he always looked forward to the time of fellowship with men’s Bible studies.&nbsp;During years of good health, Bob loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed his dogs and cat; Peaches, Oscar, Polly, and Muffin will miss him.&nbsp; He loved all kinds of sports but was a true Husker fan.&nbsp; Later, he developed an interest in computer programming and repair, earning a diploma for computer repair.&nbsp; He had been striving for an Associates of Arts degree in the networking program areas.Bob and Mary Sue had no children of their own, but foster care became very important to them.&nbsp; He loved those kids and throughout several years welcomed into his home Derrick, Jimmie, Antoinette, Jose, Tina, and Billie Jo.&nbsp; When they were able to be reunited with their families, each child took a piece of Bob’s heart with them.&nbsp; Being care givers for niece and nephew, Callie and Gunner Carlisle for 15 years created a special bond like no other.&nbsp; Gunner and Bob were Xbox partners.&nbsp;Preceding him in death were his parents, brother-in-law, Jim Mockry; sister-in-law, Kay Mockry; brother, David Wurster; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Orville Mockry.Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue; sister-in-law, Nancy and Charles Collins; brothers-in-law, Randy and Wanda Mockry, Robby and Angie Mockry; and sister-in-law, Julie Mockry, all of McCook; nephews: Chris Collins, Corey and Jill Collins, Jamie and Tress Mockry, Jacob Mockry; nieces: Codie and Jason Stephens, Cyndi Carlisle, Caitlyn Mockry, Elizabeth Borrink, Rebecca Mockry, Aleece and Travis Priest and Sarah Messersmith; special great-nieces and nephews: Jordyn, Coral, Cayden, and Camryn Collins; Noleigh and Kasyn Stephens; Aaron, Anita, James, and Liahm Mockry; and Alex and Josh Priest; brother, Clyde “Butch” and Rosie Vance; sisters: Georgia and Mike Evans, Connie and Tom Long, Irma Wagener, Jeri Johnson, Cindy and Dan Harmon, and Kathy Blauvelt; and other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends.Bob was a kind man, always wanting to be used of the Lord.&nbsp; His words to you would be to study the Word and pray, staying always faithful to God.Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (CT) at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; Due to the current Covid-19 situation in McCook, cremation will follow Bob’s visitation and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. (CT), Saturday morning, November 14, 2020 at the First Assembly of God Church in McCook with Pastor Barry Johnson officiating.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow services in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.&nbsp; Memorials are suggested to the family of Bob for later designation.&nbsp; Online condolences may be left at herrmannfh.com.&nbsp; Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, Nebraska is entrusted with arrangements.
