Gerald (Jerry) Allen Lintner, age 87, of Ogallala, NE died Saturday, October 1st, 2022 in his home.

Jerry was born October 16th, 1934 to Harry and Claudia (Heisley) Lintner in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Jerry attended school in Lancaster, later receiving his GED. He joined the Navy on November 19th, 1953, where he served on various aircraft carriers. He was discharged on November 1st, 1957 and returned to Lancaster. He later met Joan Eshleman&nbsp; and they married July 12th, 1966 in Elkton, Maryland. To this union three children were born; Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Jill. Jerry worked for an engineering service for awhile, then he worked for a knitting mill where he made cloth for clothing.&nbsp; He went to work for Blue Ball Bowling Alley as a mechanic. The couple moved to Ogallala, Nebraska in 1994. Gerry worked for Hokes Cafe, the Moose Lodge, and Wendy's until his retirement in 2017.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Lintner, children Jeffrey (Kae) Lintner of Central City, CO, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Buck of Cave Creek, AZ, and Jill (Ricky) Bohler of Ogallala, NE, grandchildren Michael Bohler and Matthew Bohlar of Ogallala, NE,&nbsp; Joseph Lintner and Lilly Lintner of Central City, CO.

Jon "Bill" William Nutt, 81, of Curtis, Nebraska, died October 4, 2022 at his home in Curtis, NE.

He was born September 27, 1941 in Farnam, NE; son of John and Pauline (Poteet) Nutt. He lived on a farm south of Curtis until school age and then the family moved into Curtis. Bill graduated from UNSA in 1959. The day after his graduation, he went to work for the Nebraska Department of Roads and worked for them for 50 years. He worked in maintenance for 30 years, and then as a supervisor for 20 years. On September 2, 1963 he married Judy Werkmeister in Oberlin, KS. To this union in 1966 a daughter, Rhonda was born. In 1987, a grandson Dustin was born and in 1989 a grandson Eric was born. His family was his whole life. Bill was a member of the Methodist Church, and the Fire and Ambulance Department. Bill retired in 2009 and stayed busy restoring John Deere tractors and boarding horses. The activity that he enjoyed the most was sitting in his big chair on the porch.

Survivors include wife, Judy Ann Nutt of Curtis, NE; daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Jochim, grandsons, and Dustin (Jackie) Haller, Eric (Janette) Haller. Six great-grandchildren, Jenna, Jude, Adalyn, Gabriel, Matias and Ashanti, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stan (Jackie) Nelson and Roger (Jolene) Farrar. Bill was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline Nutt, his in-laws Art and Verneta Werkmeister, and brother, Marion Nutt.

Dean Edward Geihsler, age 73, of Danbury, NE passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at his home in Danbury.

Dean was born to Harlan and Anna (Lewis) Geihsler on January 23, 1949, in the worst blizzard in Nebraska history. His uncle, Gerald, pulled the car thirteen miles to town through the blizzard. Dean’s twin brother was deceased by the time they reached town. &nbsp; Dean attended grade school at District 25 and graduated from Lebanon Beaver Valley High School in 1967. He worked the oil fields in Miles City, Montana, and then worked as a parts man for Hormel Chevrolet. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1969, and was stationed in Ramstein, Germany, and Sumter Air Force Base in South Carolina.&nbsp; He traveled to 33 countries before his Honorable Discharge in 1973. He also served in the Ready Reserve Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dean married Coleen Fisher in 1970 and had two sons, Ed and Jim.&nbsp; Dean also helped raise his step-daughter, Shelley. Dean was employed as a service manager and safety director for Municipal Light and Water in North Platte, Nebraska, and worked part-time at Pawnee Springs Ranch. He was the owner of Dean’s Tower Maintenance with an FAA contract at the North Platte Airport. In 1976 he moved to Cozad, Nebraska, where he worked for Hansen Waters and eventually purchased the business and renamed it G&amp;H Implement. He served as the mayor of Cozad for eight years. In 1985, he moved to Cedar Bluffs, Kansas, where he farmed and ranched and worked as personnel director at Decatur COOP and as a real estate agent for Metcalf Real Estate. In 1996, he married Sandra Welsh. Together they farmed and ranched and operated Geihsler Farms Trucking and Danbury Bar and Café. The couple relocated to Colby, Kansas, for a while where they ran cows and calves and eventually returned to Danbury in 2014 where they operated Dean’s bar and café until their retirement in 2016. He was a member of the American Legion for 50 years. Dean loved horses all throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed the cattle business. He never met a stranger and loved working with all kinds of people in all walks of life. He was definitely a strong Christian man and had many serious talks with God throughout his lifetime while riding a horse or serving in the military. He deeply loved his family and thanked God every day for them.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Donald Geihsler, and a granddaughter, Kyra Welsh. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandy, of Danbury, NE; his sons, Ed (Pam) Geihsler of Salina, KS, Jim Geihsler of Oberlin, KS; step-sons Scott (Nicole) Welsh of Imperial, NE and&nbsp; Shad (Heather) Welsh of Peru, South America; step-daughter, Shelley (Terry) Hoffmaster of McCook, NE; two sisters, Donna Geihsler of MS, and Debra Geihsler of FL.&nbsp; Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Dean Edward Geihsler (1949-2022)

&nbsp;Arnold L. Sexson, age 91, of Ogallala died Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at Wel-Life in Ogallala. Arnold was the son of Pearl D. Sexson and Nellie (Borland) Sexson. He was born February 8, 1931 in McCook. Arnold grew up on a farm at Wauneta, and he graduated from Wauneta High School. While in school he exceled at football and track. He won several medals and set a State Record in the high hurdles.Upon graduation he was drafted into the Army during the Korean Conflict. He spent his tour as a Corporal in Panama. On January 22, 1954 Arnold married the love of his life Dorothy Nutt in Gering.&nbsp; Arnold owned and operated Arnolds Upholstery for 60 years. He loved his work, it was not only his job, but his hobby. Arnold and Dorothy loved to Polka Dance. Arnold loved to camp when the children were young. He was an avid hunter, he especially loved Elk hunting. He also would hunt deer and pheasant.&nbsp; Arnold was a member of the VFW, Elks and the United Methodist Church of Ogallala. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2018, his parents, 3 brothers, Lawrence Sexson, Ray Sexson and Vernon Sexson, 2 sisters; Virginia Fay and Darlene Wicke; 2 infant grandsons, Patrick Laird and Kent Lomme. Marcia Nelson (1932-2022)

Michael Lee Moody, age 59, from Purdum, NE passed away October 2, 2022, near Halsey, Nebraska after succumbing to a medical emergency while in the line of duty fighting fire. Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2 pm in Dunning at the Sandhills High School. His granddaughter Rylyn requests that you please come dressed comfortably in bright colors with plaid shirts and overalls welcome. Mike was born March 5th, 1963, to Gene and Sherry (Harsh) Moody. He attended Sandhills Public Schools and spent summers haying west of Purdum for the Bestol Ranch. He excelled at sports and enjoyed football, wrestling, and track. He did well in school but also enjoyed going out with friends and having a good time (as many of you can vouch for.) After graduating high school in 1981, he spent a year working for the Board of Educational Lands and Funds and, while at that job, honed his arrowhead hunting skills. From there he moved on to work for Circle 76 Fertilizer in Long Pine until his father’s death in 1984. After his father’s passing, he joined his mother and older sister Pam Moody at Purdum State Bank where he worked as Vice President and loan officer until leaving in 2008. Mike spent some time doing odd jobs before taking over Harsh Mercantile.&nbsp; He was very proud to be able to continue on with the family business and spent countless hours at the store and mixing feed and enjoyed working alongside his wife and son Jack.

In 1986, Mike met the love of his life Cheryl Yantzie and after writing her number down on a napkin, the rest was history. They were joined in marriage on January 6, 1988, and with this marriage, Cheryl brought with her two sons, Jeff and Jared Pflaster. Later that year they welcomed their first child together, daughter Hollie. In 1990, after Cheryl assured him, he had plenty of time before their youngest was born Mike took off to South Dakota for a pheasant hunting trip. Not thirty minutes after he left, she went into labor and welcomed son Jack before Mike arrived the next day. His children were second only to his three grandchildren, Rylyn, Alexis, and Jhett who lovingly called him “Bampa T-Rex.”

From the time Mike was little he loved the outdoors and was always out exploring the world. He grew up hunting and fishing alongside his dad and Grandpa Dana and later in life passed that love on to his daughter Hollie. Mike always enjoyed going fishing at the lake with his close friends and took the time to go every chance he got. His other favorite thing to do was go arrowhead hunting. We never knew how he could manage to see even the smallest of artifacts, but he always seemed to find something no matter where he went. If Mike wasn’t outside doing what he loved or working, you could most likely find him at the casino playing poker or sitting at a slot machine.

Mike never knew a stranger and everyone he came across was a newfound friend. He selflessly spent his entire life putting others before himself and serving his community. He spent countless hours making sure the Purdum cemetery looked perfect year-round, all the while maintaining the rest of the town, as well as his own business work and tasks at home. For over 40 years he served the Purdum Rural Fire Department covering many different roles and his home always served as the “home base” and dispatch for the department. He never gave a second thought when a fire page went off, when a neighbor needed help, or when anything at all needed done in the community. He was always the man for job and gave himself selflessly to whoever and whatever needed his attention at any given time. He was always a listening ear and always had advice no matter what you may be going through in life. He was a great son, a brother, a father, a friend, and an even more amazing grandpa and will be missed by many.

Left to mourn are his wife Cheryl Moody, daughter Hollie Moody, son Jack Moody, stepsons Jeff Pflaster (Danyelle) and Jared (Ashley) Pflaster, mother Sherry Mulligan, sister Pam Moody (Russ DeNaeyer), Aunt Connie (Moody)Taylor, Aunt Jeanne (Arden) Rosenberger, three grandchildren, Rylyn Moody, Jhett Moody, and Alexis Pflaster. He is also survived by many cousins and countless friends.

After graduating high school in 1981, he spent a year working for the Board of Educational Lands and Funds and, while at that job, honed his arrowhead hunting skills. From there he moved on to work for Circle 76 Fertilizer in Long Pine until his father’s death in 1984. After his father’s passing, he joined his mother and older sister Pam Moody at Purdum State Bank where he worked as Vice President and loan officer until leaving in 2008. Mike spent some time doing odd jobs before taking over Harsh Mercantile.&nbsp; He was very proud to be able to continue on with the family business and spent countless hours at the store and mixing feed and enjoyed working alongside his wife and son Jack.In 1986, Mike met the love of his life Cheryl Yantzie and after writing her number down on a napkin, the rest was history. Daisy Anna Musser, 88, died October 3, 2022.&nbsp; She was born April 24, 1934 to Harry and Rosa (Greeley) Lee at North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; She spent her early years near Stapleton, Nebraska and later the family moved to North Platte.

She married Don Musser on February 15, 1952 and they moved to the family ranch south of Mullen where she had continued to live.&nbsp; To this union eleven children were born; Debbie, Cathy (Jerry) Moritz, Nick (Brenda), Randy (Kim), Shane (Barb) Kim (Gene) Simonton, Shari, Stacey, Becki, Mitch (Julia) and Justin.&nbsp;

She was a hard worker and most of her time was spent helping on the ranch and chasing kids.&nbsp; She enjoyed making bread and made the best apple pies.&nbsp; Whenever she had time, she loved hunting arrowheads, watching and taking pictures of pretty clouds, growing flowers, sewing and making sure each of her new grand babies got one of her quilts.&nbsp; She loved spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to the yearly family reunion.

Daisy is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Rosa; her husband Don; sons Stacey and Justin; grandson Taylon; sisters Ruby, Ruth, Phyllis, Eva, Agnes and Opal; brothers Walter and Ben.&nbsp;

Marilyn Elizabeth Robertson was born on July 28, 1935 to Harry and Pauline (Weisflog) Witte.&nbsp; She grew up south of Crookston on the family ranch with her parents and Grandparents.&nbsp; Harry kept her busy in her early years as his unofficial first-born son, getting the milk cow in, helping in the hay field and lots of other chores. She was followed by 3 other siblings- Elaine, Don and Yvonne.&nbsp; She attended grade school at District 45, 3 years of high school in Seward at Concordia High School and her senior year back at Crookston High School. She then got her teaching certificate at Chadron College.

While teaching school in South Dakota, she met and married Wayne Cornish. They had 2 children, Linda and Scott.&nbsp; Later,&nbsp;Marilyn met Raymond Robertson and they married on July 26, 1962. The new family moved to the Kewanee area where Raymond worked on a ranch and Marilyn started working at Young's Western Wear. In 1970, when Harry and Pauline retired, they moved out on the ranch south of Crookston.&nbsp; Marilyn was always busy. Besides helping on the ranch, she also started a new job at the First National Bank where she worked for 35 years and supported Linda and Scott with volleyball, football and rodeo. Never missing a game. Most family gatherings were held at Marilyn and Raymond's.&nbsp; She was a great cook and hostess. Her later years were filled with grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she cherished.&nbsp; She lost her beloved husband Raymond in 2010.

Marilyn's love of Jesus Christ and her dedication to the church was a big part of her life and has given her strength through the years.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elaine Marckx and brother Don Witte and her husband Raymond.

Marilyn is survived by daughter, Linda Jespersen and her son, Scott Cornish (Jan).&nbsp; Her sister, Yvonne Greene,&nbsp;Grandchildren Michelle, Amber, Darrell, Nate and 9 great grandchildren.

Juanita L. Rhodes, age 92, formerly of Elwood, died October 1, 2022 at Ridgeway Senior Living in Lexington, her home for 13 years. She was born January 1, 1930 to Elmer and Myrtle (Bricker) Johnson in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Louisville High School and attended Wesleyan University. On June 18, 1949 she married James Willis (Willie) Rhodes. The couple lived in Weeping Water, Kearney, North Platte and in 1967 moved to Johnson Lake. Juanita raised her kids and worked as a cook, housekeeper and her favorite job at Elwood Care Center as a Transportation aide for 15 years. She was a phenomenal baker and her cinnamon rolls were famous! She was active in her church and sang in the choir. She will be missed by many as she was loved and a friend to all who met her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis, sister Myrna Jean Van Vliet and brother Bernard Johnson. Survivors include her children, Pamela (Dean) Brand of Lexington, Kevin (Jacque) Rhodes of Lincoln, Randy (Jodi) Rhodes of Bulverde, Texas and Marvin (Donna) Rhodes of Elkhorn, also, 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 13 great and 5 great-great grandchildren from coast to coast.

Donna Kay Wilson, 81, of Overton, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her home.

Donna was born on May 16, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa to Robert and Arlene (Bock) Cartano. She married and had three sons: Jay, Douglas, and Dennis Wilson. She later moved to Nebraska where she made her permanent residency.

Donna enjoyed Husker sports, especially football. She also loved taking trips to the casinos to play the penny slots. Donna was a bird enthusiast and enjoyed doing puzzles in her free time. She also loved the water. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Her home was always a welcoming place for all to stop by and visit where more than a few card games were played.

Donna is survived by her two sons, Douglas (Debbie) Wilson and Dennis (Patti) Wilson; daughter-in-law, Brenda Wilson; four grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Jamie and Hannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Arlene Cartano, and her son, Jay.

Charlotte Ann Youngblood, 41, of North Platte, NE, passed away on October 3, 2022. She was born June 1, 1981, to James and Teresa (Hester) Youngblood in Little Rock, AR.

Charlotte grew up and attended school in North Little Rock before moving to North Platte in 2001. Once in North Platte, Charlotte was employed in various service professions including working at La Quinta Inn and at Casey’s General Store. She gave birth to three beautiful children: Logan in 2006, Heather in 2008, and Hannah in 2009.

To Charlotte, friends and family were always the top priority. Her daughters were her world and she involved them in her passions, taking them camping and fishing whenever possible. Her family could often be found at the Recreation Center or Lake Maloney swimming and enjoying each other’s company. In addition to her love of the outdoors, Charlotte was often described by those closest to her as a goofball. Her jokes brought smiles and laughter to all those around her. Her loving attitude extended past her family to the stray cats on the street. She was well-known for taking in cats with nowhere else to go.

Charlotte is survived by her loving family: daughters, Heather Gilbert and Hannah Gilbert; sister, Ramanda (Chris) Jackson; brothers, Jimmie (Wendy) Lyons, Mike (Christina) Lyons, and James Youngblood Jr.; nieces and nephews, Jada Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Blake Jackson, Makayla Doherty, Austin Lyons, Mycha Lyons, Naveah Lyons, and Jordan Lyons.

She is preceded in death by her son, Logan Gilbert and her parents, James and Teresa Youngblood.

Kenneth John Asche, 88, of Ogallala, NE passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Ogallala Community Hospital surrounded by loved ones.&nbsp; He was born in rural Huntley, NE on August 6, 1934 to Otto Paul and Louise Marilyn (Jurgens) Asche.&nbsp; &nbsp;He attended school in Huntley, eventually graduating from Huntley High School.&nbsp; Following high school, he worked jobs around the farm and throughout the community until joining Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a lineman. He worked throughout Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota.&nbsp; In 1955, he was united in marriage to Pearl (Beyersdorf) Laycock.&nbsp; They were blessed with four children; Susan, Debra, Nancy, and Paul.&nbsp; They first made their home in Holdrege, NE and a short time later moved to Ogallala.&nbsp; Ken and Pearl were later divorced.&nbsp; In 1971, Ken married Ophelia (Holliman) Asche and they resided in Ogallala.&nbsp; &nbsp;He was employed by Northwestern Bell until they split with AT&amp;T and he later retired.&nbsp; &nbsp;He was an agent with Farmers Insurance Group. He established Asche Telephone Service. He was the former owner of&nbsp; The House of Bottles store and Miller Memorial Care Center in Chappell, NE. He was also an Amway Distributor.&nbsp; &nbsp;Ken enjoyed numerous activities, such as fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, yard care, coin collecting, watching sports, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren.&nbsp; He was a lifelong member of the Pioneers of America. Ken was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He became a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ogallala.&nbsp; He regularly listened to and supported the radio broadcast of Sunday services from St. Paul’s.

Left to cherish his memory are: his children, Debra Brouillette (Scot Richards) of Osceola, NE,&nbsp; Nancy (Rev. David Lee Bomberger, 64, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in Albuquerque.

David was born October 27, 1957 in North Platte, NE to Bill and Norma (Ogier) Bomberger.&nbsp; He joined the USAF in 1976, after graduating from North Platte High School.&nbsp; Early in his military career, he was stationed in Japan.&nbsp; While there, he met his wife Machiko.&nbsp; They were married on July 12, 1985, in Tokyo and later moved back to the U.S.&nbsp; David was stationed at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico, and later at Sheppard AFB in Texas.&nbsp; MSGT David retired from active duty on April 30, 1997, while stationed at Sheppard AFB, TX.&nbsp; He returned to Albuquerque, NM and continued to work for the USAF as a civilian at Kirtland AFB, NM until January 1, 2020.

Survivors include his wife Machiko of Albuquerque, NM; his children, Anna Bomberger of Albuquerque, NM and Nicole Bomberger of Japan; four sisters, Cathy Nilsson of Omaha, NE, Mary (Scott) Ginsburg of Raleigh, NC, Chrys Botsford of Gothenburg, NE, Sue (Scott) Cumming of Finksburg, MD; two brothers, Lary (Karma) Bomberger and Norm (Cindy) Bomberger, both of North Platte, NE; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Bill and Norma, brother, William Bomberger; and nephew, Christopher Botsford.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Trippett officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.

David Lee Bomberger (1957-2022)

Delores E. Daily, 92, of Oshkosh, passed away Saturday evening, October 1, 2022 at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh with Pastor Scotty Ray officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation and the casket will be closed.

Delores Elaine Wymore Dailey was born September 25, 1930 to Stanley and Ethel Wymore at their home north of Lewellen. The family moved to Arthur County where she attended school until eighth grade in 1942. She lived with her paternal grandparents, Oliver and Marguerite Stedry, to attend high school, graduating in 1947 with honors. She was awarded a scholarship in Oberlin School of Music in Ohio for her musical ability. She worked at McCormac’s Variety Store at age 13, then Thompson’s Drugstore until the spring of 1947. She worked at Miller’s Super Market when it first opened, then at the Garden County Clerk’s Office. She worked for Dr. Willard Seng from October 1947 until her marriage to William R. (Bill) Dailey on November 22, 1948. They lived on the family farm near Lisco where Bill was born. Five daughters joined the family, Sue Ann Blain, Judy Lynn Kennedy, Cinda Lu Kent, Debra Jo Adams and Nancy Elaine Bramlett. Bill was injured in December 1959 and passed away in February 1966 from complications of this accident.

Her eighteen years in the Lisco area were busy with family and community activities. She held many offices in St. Gall Alter Society, PTA and renewed the Girl Scout Organization in Garden County. She was the stage director of the original Ash Hollow Centennial Pageant in July 1967 held onsite at Ash Hollow with a cast of over 1,000 from five surrounding counties. This pageant triggered the State of Nebraska to designate this area as a State Park.

She returned to work in Dr. Seng’s office in 1963 until moving to Bridgeport in 1968 where she was employed at the Heritage Nursing Home and the Community Hospital. She moved to Pueblo, CO where she worked in an OB-GYN clinic for 3 years. She moved with her youngest daughter to Greeley, CO in 1974 where she began employment with Dr. Mylan Van Newkirk, an ophthalmologist originally from Oshkosh NE. She moved with Dr. Van Newkirk’s practice to Scottsbluff, NE in 1978 and continued monthly visits to patients in the panhandle area. She moved to Laramie, WY in 1981 working in the Laramie Eye Clinic until moving to Los Angeles in 1984 to work in the Advanced Sight Medical Group Ophthalmology practice. During her 30 plus years in Ophthalmology she attended many classes and seminars, receiving certification assistant, scrub nurse, Retinal Angiographer, Professional Coder and Administrator. She enjoyed working with a Community Theatre Group designing and making costumes in the Los Angeles area. She retired from this practice in 1995 and moved to Sun City AZ where she joined an Ophthalmology Consulting Group from Upland, California, traveling throughout the United States teaching and training Ophthalmologists and personnel in Medicare billing, assisting and photography procedures.

She joined the Barnett Delaney &amp; Perkins Ophthalmology Group in Arizona with Clinics and Surgery Centers in seven locations in Arizona as Quality Assurance Director from 1998 to 2001 when she retired to Oshkosh purchasing her Aunt Madeline Rentzch’s home next door to her sister, Ardeen McCord. She worked with the Garden County Health Services in the billing department for two years.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, husband, Bill, brother-in-law, Bob McCord, son-in-law, Jack Kent, great-grandson Calvary Timmerman, and sisters-in-law, Mildred Gardner and Corky Carroll.

She leaves behind daughters; Sue (Tom) Blain, Judy (Tom) Kennedy, Cinda Kent, Deb (Wayne) Adams, Nancy (Danny) Bramlett, twelve grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, sister, Ardeen McCord, sister-in-law, Dorothy Guenin-Curfman and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Delores Dailey (1930-2022)

Jacqueline “Jacquie” Lee (Snyder) Glaubitz, 52, of Sutherland, NE passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Great Plains Health Hospital in North Platte, NE.

She was born on July 10, 1970 in Mullen, NE to James G. and Kathryn Joyce (Connell) Snyder.&nbsp; Her first airplane ride was home to Snyder Ten Bar Ranch in McPherson County.

She grew up there and was her dad’s helper, especially after her two older sisters left home.&nbsp; She learned at an early age that it’s better to grease all the zerks than replace a bearing in the August sun.&nbsp; She attended grade school at Star School, district 28 and later graduated from McPherson High School with the class of 1988.&nbsp; Jacquie was gifted in music, getting a few piano lessons from Jean Hora, violin lessons from Mrs. Finley and learning the saxophone in band.&nbsp; She borrowed the saxophone from her sister Janelle who played the artist’s model alto which had once been owned by Lee Soltow of North Platte.&nbsp; Jacquie attended Chadron State College, switching to the baritone after playing in the band there.&nbsp; On June 29, 1996, she and Mark Glaubitz were married in Ringgold, NE.&nbsp; After living in Tryon for several years they moved to Snyder Ranch.&nbsp; Jacquie’s love of music gave her many wonderful experiences, friendships, and acquaintances, among them Jim Houseman of Flatrock Stranded, DaNaeyer and the Hayaraddies, Anthony Smith and the Duke Lee Band, Jim Calhoun, Kristina Craig, Suzy McIntire, Colin McFeat and drummer Nigel of Thistledown of Thurso, England.&nbsp; Jacquie had been a member of the McPherson County Volunteer Fire Department and the Velvet Spurs Drill Team.&nbsp; The Velvet Spurs attracted her, and she spent many enjoyable years with this drill team.&nbsp; When she was no longer able to practice with them, she continued to choreograph their drills from home via video, phone, and thumb drives.&nbsp; If after watching their video it was seen that a certain maneuver took more or less time than allotted, she would either adjust the speed or add or subtract more music. &nbsp;&nbsp;Jacquie was very accepting of life as it came to her, generous to a fault and loved her cattle and horses, which she took good care of, even writing down her last wishes for her 27-year-old horse, Patti.&nbsp; Jacquie enjoyed the family airplane and attended several conventions of the International Cessna 170 Association including Edmonton, Kansas City, Portland, Fresno, Blakesburg, IA, Washington, D.C. and Jennings, LA.&nbsp;

Jacqueline "Jacquie" Lee Glaubitz (1970-2022)

Mike “Rosie” Anderson passed away September 30, 2022 at Gothenburg Hospital at age 47. Mike was born during a blizzard the morning of February 28, 1975 in Cozad, Nebraska. He grew up on a farm/ranch 18 miles northwest of Cozad in Roten Valley, Custer County, and attended rural grade school at District 81-R before moving on to Cozad High School. Mike enjoyed sports, especially football; he was the starting left tackle for Cozad’s 1992 Class B state champion football team. Owing to his passion for agriculture, Mike was a proud member of the Tail Twisters 4-H Club and competed for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln livestock and meats judging teams.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from UNL in 1998, Mike returned home to start his career in farming/ranching alongside his father. He married the one love of his life, Sarah Burkhalter, on August 20, 2005; they made their home in Gothenburg, Nebraska, and were blessed to bring four beautiful daughters into this world. Mike spent his final years working as a Research Assistant for the Bayer Corporation’s location in Gothenburg.

Mike loved following and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In addition to his beloved Huskers, he was a longtime Kansas City Royals and Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed cooking, especially anything that could go over a wood-burning flame. He was a gentle soul who never met anyone he couldn’t have a conversation with or someone he wasn’t willing to help.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sarah “Huggy”; daughters, Lyndsay “Punky Sue,” Jenna “Goose,” Kadie “Gracie Mae,” and Maddy “Maddy Jo”; parents, Alan "Papa" and Kathy "Meme"; sister, Jill "Sissy" (Larry) Adams; brother, Andy "Rufus"; brothers-in law, Phillip (Sharilyn), David (Fabienne), and Andy (Frances) Burkhalter; nine nieces and nephews; and one great nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. Services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Gothenburg United Methodist Church. Michael "Rosie" Alan Anderson (1975-2022)

James Stewart 'Stu' Higley, 77 of Cozad, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022, with family by his side, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Stu was born April 5, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Cozad, Nebraska. He was the eldest child of Clarence 'Red' and Ethel Elaine (Marshall) Higley. Stu graduated Cozad High School in 1963 and attended Arizona State University on a baseball scholarship while he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. He played centerfield until Reggie Jackson came along. He met and married Sally Bateson in 1971 in California where they raised their 4 children. Stu and his family moved back to Nebraska in 1994.

Stu is best remembered for his corny jokes, disgust of onions, sports fanatic, love of card games and as an absolute wizard with numbers. He was fair and friendly to all and is deeply missed.

Stu was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Elaine Higley; sister, Barb (Higley) McLaughlin; sister-in-law, Sheila Higley; and infant brother, Richard Higley.

He is survived by, and will always be loved by, his children: Todd, Cameron, Amanda, and Ginny; Four Grandchildren whom he adored: Davis, Olivia, Audrey and Quinn; brothers he admired: Ron and Alan and his nephews and nieces: Janet, Matt, Jared, Mark, Katie and Jordan.

James Stewart Higley (1945-2022)

Betty Muhlenkamp, 86 of Puyallup, WA, formerly of North Platte departed this life on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

Betty was born on July 3, 1936 in North Platte, NE the daughter of Levi and Amelia (Stoddard) Powell.

She was married to John G. Muhlenkamp, Jr. and together they raised six sons.&nbsp; Betty worked as a contract administrator for the Boeing Corporation for many years until her retirement in 2008.&nbsp; Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Betty’s memory are her sons, John III (Diane) of Dubois, WY, Daniel of Long Beach, CA, David (Sheila) of Torrington, WY, Levi (Margaret) of Swanville, MN, and Charles (Crystal) of Puyallup, WA; sisters, Blanche, Viola, Leva, Alberta (Clifford), and Bonnie; brother-in-laws, Nicholas (Opal), and Henry (Kathy); sister-in-law, Clara Vencill, all of North Platte; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Sammy Bell, 73, of North Platte, passed away on September 30, 2022, at Azria Health in Sutherland.&nbsp; He was born on July 5, 1949 in Conway, SC to Carson and Tammy Bell.&nbsp;

While attending Conway High School, Sammy worked in the tobacco fields in the summer, harvesting.&nbsp; He then began working at a furniture factory for 10 years.&nbsp; In 1981, Sammy moved to Nebraska.&nbsp; He helped construct the Gerald Gentleman Power Plant in Sutherland.&nbsp; After this project was complete, he worked in construction, hauling asphalt for 12 years.&nbsp; Before retiring in 2010, Sammy worked for a sand and gravel company.&nbsp; He had a love for cars, his favorite being a red 1967 Chevy truck.

Sammy is preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Tammy Bell.

Sammy Bell (1949-2022)

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the age of 87, Irma Baker left her earthly home in North Platte, Nebraska, to her forever home.

Irma was born December 2, 1934, to Adolph and Irmgard Bremer of Boelus, Nebraska. Growing up Irma enjoyed spending time with her five siblings. On June 17, 1954, Irma married Gary Baker of Grand Island, at the Methodist Church in Boelus. Later that year, Irma and Gary moved to North Platte where they started their family and attended Bethel Church. She was a long time resident of North Platte and those who knew Irma would find her fishing, bowling, golfing, playing cards, crocheting or cheering on the Huskers. She had a true talent for crocheting and made several beautiful afghans. She loved going to garage sales, or any shopping for that matter, and she truly found peace in her flower beds. In later life, Irma enjoyed doing picture puzzles and playing cards with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Irma will be deeply missed by her five children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Irma was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother.

Survivors include her sisters, Pearl Lemburg (Billy) of Cairo, NE, and Doris Jean of Atlanta, GA; her daughters, Sharon Neal (Steve) of North Platte and Deborah Baker (Theresa) of Council Bluffs, IA; her sons Terry Baker of San Francisco, CA, Roger Baker (Maria) of Mission, KS, and Bryan Baker (Bonnie) of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; her grandchildren, Jesse Neal (Seri), Matt Neal (Mandy), Nancy Tally (Tim), Amy Wolfskill (Ron), Cassandra Baker, Samantha Baker, Jordan Baker, Ellie Pearson (Shane), Katie Baker, Grace Baker and Kyle Baker; great-grandchildren, Addison, Jakin, Isaiah, Kamri, Aysha, Sias, Forest, Hunter, Abagail, Robin, Maximus, Brooklyn, McKinley and Luke; as well as other family.

Arrangements are pending with Odean Colonial Chapel at C &amp; Sycamore.

Irma will be deeply missed by her five children, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Irma was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother.Survivors include her sisters, Pearl Lemburg (Billy) of Cairo, NE, and Doris Jean of Atlanta, GA; her daughters, Sharon Neal (Steve) of North Platte and Deborah Baker (Theresa) of Council Bluffs, IA; her sons Terry Baker of San Francisco, CA, Roger Baker (Maria) of Mission, KS, and Bryan Baker (Bonnie) of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; her grandchildren, Jesse Neal (Seri), Matt Neal (Mandy), Nancy Tally (Tim), Amy Wolfskill (Ron), Cassandra Baker, Samantha Baker, Jordan Baker, Ellie Pearson (Shane), Katie Baker, Grace Baker and Kyle Baker; great-grandchildren, Addison, Jakin, Isaiah, Kamri, Aysha, Sias, Forest, Hunter, Abagail, Robin, Maximus, Brooklyn, McKinley and Luke; as well as other family.Arrangements are pending with Odean Colonial Chapel at C &amp; Sycamore.

Rose Ann Goodman was born August 1, 1925, in Valley County, Nebraska to Pete and Sophie (Cwanek) Kochanowski. Rose Ann attended country school and then graduating from Burwell High School in 1943. Rose Ann worked for Ben Franklin’s, McDonald’s Department Store and Arrow Seed during the years. She was a long-time member of the Broken Bow Does, Rebekah’s, VFW Auxiliary, and D.A.V.

Rose Ann is survived by daughter Sharon (Dan) Tonsing of Kerrville, TX, son Dick (Charlynn) Behrends of Broken Bow, stepson Gordon (Penny) Goodman of Broken Bow, sons-in-law Marvin Coble of Broken Bow, and John Ellingson of Broken Bow, ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

Rose Ann was preceded in death by husbands Maynard Behrends, and Leslie Goodman, son Ronnie Behrends, daughters Janet Coble, and Diane Ellingson, her parents Pete &amp; Sophie Kochanowski, and sisters Ella Mae Gilster and Barbara Ann Kosmicki.

Donald Leroy Sarnes, 89, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on September 28, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born on May 7, 1933, in Lexington, Nebraska to Lowell and Frances (Anderson) Sarnes. He graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1951 before going on to study for a year at the University of Nebraska. After spending some time in college, Donald was inducted into the Army in May of 1953 and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. He was honorably discharged in April of 1955 after faithfully serving his country. Once back in the United States, Donald began working as a farmer and cattle feeder. Donald was confirmed and served in the Lexington Methodist Church his entire life. On April 22, 1956, Donald was united in marriage to Mary Jewel Anderson. Four children were blessed to this union: Teri, Scott, Lori, and Steven. Donald had many hobbies. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, hunting, fishing, and socializing with several coffee groups. He also loved spending time with his family and making them laugh by telling jokes. He loved flying and eventually earned a private pilot’s license, where he got great pleasure giving people rides. He said that when he was flying, he felt closest to God.

Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his baby brother, Wayne, and sister, Delma Jean. Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Mary; Daughters, Teri (John) Whittington and Lori (Mike) Burr; sons, Scott (Cathy) Sarnes and Steven Sarnes; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation, as the family is honoring Donald’s wish for cremation. A memorial service will be held on October 8, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Thomas officiating. A private family inurnment with military honors will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Heartland Military Museum.
