&nbsp; &nbsp; Walter Emmett Sehnert, age 94, passed away on June 17, 2022, at Kinship Point of McCook, Nebraska. Walt was born March 13, 1928, in Huron, South Dakota to Walter Max and Lenita (Ackerman) Sehnert. He grew up in Plainview, Nebraska where his parents ran a bakery. &nbsp; &nbsp; Walt graduated from Plainview High School in 1946. From there Walt graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then the American Institute of Baking in Chicago. UNL was where Walt met his future bride, Jean Leisy.&nbsp; The two were married on June 10, 1951 and celebrated 71 years of marriage one week before Walt's death. From the wedding, the couple headed to Fort Sill, Oklahoma where Walt was stationed before leaving for Korea. Learning the baking trade from his father, Walt spent his time in Korea with the 130th&nbsp;Quartermaster Baking Company.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Upon returning from Korea, Walt and Jean settled in Plainview where Walt joined his father in the family baking business. In 1957, Walt moved his family to McCook, and purchased the local bakery.&nbsp; In the 60’s, Walt left baking for a short time to complete a master’s degree in Anthropology at UNL. He came back to baking in 1972 and moved the bakery one block north in 1981. Walt continued baking until 1990 when his son and daughter-in-law took over the operation.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; While he learned the love of baking from his father, Walt acquired a love of storytelling and writing from his mother, an English teacher and writer. In retirement, Walt wrote stories he remembered for the Plainview News and the McCook Gazette.&nbsp; These articles were compiled into four books about Plainview, McCook, and Korea. &nbsp; &nbsp; Walt discovered his voice in retirement – both as the storyteller/emcee and as a singer. He and Jean loved organizing local musicians to perform at events around the area. Walt would write the programs around a certain theme and intersperse songs from the era.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Throughout Walt’s life, he was very community minded serving on committees and boards at the community and state levels including past president of the McCook Rotary, Kiwanis, McCook Library Foundation, and the Nebraska Bakers Association. He served on the McCook College Foundation, High Plains Museum Board, YMCA Board, UNL President’s Advisory Council along with many other civic organizations in and around McCook. He received multiple honors including Admiral of the Nebraska Navy, Buffalo Commons Master Storyteller, Mid-Plains Community College President’s Award, and the McCook Chamber Honor Family. &nbsp; &nbsp; Travel was important to Walt and Jean. In early retirement they toured in their motorhome throughout North America.&nbsp; Later they cruised to a number of locations including the Panama Canal, Alaska with all their kids and grandchildren, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. A favorite annual destination was to Fort Robinson in Nebraska to enjoy the musicals at the Fort Playhouse.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; Walt was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lenita Sehnert; son-in-law, James Stuart, Jr.; grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth Messinger; and grandson-in-law, Thomas Van Klaveren. &nbsp; &nbsp; He is survived by his wife, Jean Sehnert of McCook; sister, Judy Sullivan of Aurora, NE; daughter, Susan Stuart of Lincoln; daughter, Marie (Duane) Franzen of Greeley, CO; son, Matt (Shelly) Sehnert of McCook; grandchildren: Rob Stuart; Carrie (Eric Peterson) Stuart; Megan Stuart; Sarah (Nick) Smith; Gretchen (Taylor) Dixon; Becca Sehnert; Gabe Sehnert; great-grandchildren: Oren Peterson; Andy and Ellie Smith; Ty Walter Dixon; bonus grandchildren: Michelle, Brian, Trip, Suzy, Lee, and their families as well as extended family and friends from far and near.

&nbsp; &nbsp; In keeping with Walt’s wishes, the family chose cremation. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook with Pastor Lonnie Felcher officiating. Burial of cremated remails will take place following the services at McCook Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed at the graveside by the Nebraska Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail and American Legion Post #203 of McCook.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; A gathering with the family present will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. &nbsp; &nbsp; Memorials have been designated to the two communities that Walt loved and are suggested to the McCook Community Foundation Fund or the Plainview Community Foundation Fund in Walt’s Name. Vicky V Chase Moore 79, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Linden Court after a long journey with Alzheimer’s.

She was born May 13, 1943 to Raymond and Doris Fern (Wright) Chase in Omaha, NE. Vicky graduated from North Platte High School in 1961. She married Ed Moore in 1963 and to this union 3 children were born. Her love of crafting led her to open a craft supply store. After a few years, her interests changed so she turned that into an exotic bird shop. She enjoyed raising parrots and many other kinds of birds. Vicky liked to stay busy and worked at many different businesses in town until she retired from Country Joy. She didn’t know a stranger and shared a hug with everyone. Vicky enjoyed gardening whether planting flowers or picking vegetables. Gathering together with her family &amp; especially her grandkids were some of her favorite times.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Karissa and grandson Jacob.&nbsp;&nbsp; Vicky is survived by her children, Monty (Kathy) Moore of Hutchinson, KS, Steven (Deb) Moore of Hershey and Brenda (Chris) Jolliffe of North Platte; grandchildren Anna(Christian) Patterson, Jessica (Stephen) Burtin, Amy, Andy, Tyler &amp; Jaden Moore, Michael (Emily), Steven &amp; Larissa Torres, Nathaniel Hutton, Natalie (Nick) Christensen and Benjamin Jolliffe; eighteen great grandchildren; brothers Dean (Barb) Chase and Dale (Jackie) Chase; Aunt Lila Huguenin; special friends Merlee Hudson and Karen Chase.

Randall “Randy” Craig Engel, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 19th, 2022, at the home of his daughter Traci.&nbsp; Arrangements for celebration of life are to be determined.

Randy was born September 26, 1950 to Louis and Joyce (Stonehocker) Engel in Hastings, NE. He was the middle child between his brothers, Rod and Brad, and went to school and graduated from Doniphan High School in 1968 Doniphan, NE.&nbsp; He married his wife of 46 years, Connie Jean Mandeville, on July 10, 1976 in Doniphan,NE.&nbsp; Randy served as active duty military on base in San Diego, California during the Vietnam War and had been a member of the American Legion Post 300 for 50 years.&nbsp; He had a lengthy career in the electrical field, starting as an electrician and moving up into management and outside sales, ending his career at Echo Electric Supply. He retired in 2012 and enjoyed many hobbies during his life, including fishing, hunting, woodworking, and watching his grandkids in all of their sports and activities.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie (Mandeville) Engel; daughter and son-in-law,&nbsp; Traci and Scott Rezac; son and daughter-in-law, Tory and Cristi Engel; brother, Brad Engel;&nbsp; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Dorothy Mandeville; brother-in-law and wife, Ed and Deb Mandeville; and by his six grandchildren, Conner Costello, Colby (wife, Jensen), Trey, and Caden Rezac, and Tyler and Camryn Engel. Seth&nbsp; Johnson, 32, of Kearney, Nebraska, died June 17, 2022 in Elm Creek, NE.&nbsp;&nbsp; Seth was born on October 3, 1989 in Kearney, NE, son of Jerri Burkhead and Curt Benjamin.&nbsp; He grew up with his mother and two brothers in Overton, NE, and attended Overton Public Schools until 2nd grade. The family then moved to Wamego, KS, to be with Seth’s future step-father Dale Burkhead, where he attended school until 8th grade.&nbsp; Then his family moved back to Nebraska to Gothenburg, and he attended Gothenburg High School from 8th grade to 12th grade.&nbsp; During his high school years he was involved in FFA, Wrestling, Football and the Baptist Church Youth Group.&nbsp; Seth met the love of his life, Kelsey, his senior year of highschool, and the two soon became inseparable.&nbsp; &nbsp;After graduation, he attended Wayne State College for two years and then attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney for two years, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice.&nbsp; Seth married Kelsey Houchin on August 3, 2013 in Gothenburg, NE.&nbsp; The couple were blessed with a baby boy, Oliver Johnson, on August 12, 2017.&nbsp; He took great pride in his profession, and worked as an officer for the State of Nebraska Probation District #10.&nbsp; Seth's hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching football, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.&nbsp; He loved his son more than anything.

Seth Thomas Johnson (1989-2022)

Wynne Edward Norsworthy, 90, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 19, 2022 in Gothenburg, NE. &nbsp;

He was born November 21, 1931 in Gothenburg, NE, son of Bernard and Mima (Morris) Norsworthy. Wynne graduated from Gothenburg High with the class of 1950. He then went on to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before joining the United States Army. He served his country in the US Army from March 1952 to February 1954. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Wynne married Donna Joyce Love on October 16, 1955 in Cozad. Wynne and Donna operated Norsworthy Feed Store in Gothenburg for 53 years.

Survivors include daughter, Julie Jo (Leroy) Scott of Gothenburg; two grandchildren, Chris (Ann) Scott of Gothenburg and Chelsea (Scott) Uhrich of Gothenburg; three great-grandchildren, Talon, Roman, and Liam all of Gothenburg; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Wynne was preceded in death by wife, Donna Joyce Norsworthy, parents, Bernard and Mima, two brothers, Bernie Norsworthy and Milt Norsworthy; two sisters, Joan Combs, and Virginia Hansen.

Private family services will take place at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Senior Center, or Central Plains Home Health and Hospice.

Wynne graduated from Gothenburg High with the class of 1950. He then went on to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before joining the United States Army. He served his country in the US Army from March 1952 to February 1954. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Wynne married Donna Joyce Love on October 16, 1955 in Cozad. Wynne and Donna operated Norsworthy Feed Store in Gothenburg for 53 years.Survivors include daughter, Julie Jo (Leroy) Scott of Gothenburg; two grandchildren, Chris (Ann) Scott of Gothenburg and Chelsea (Scott) Uhrich of Gothenburg; three great-grandchildren, Talon, Roman, and Liam all of Gothenburg; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Wynne was preceded in death by wife, Donna Joyce Norsworthy, parents, Bernard and Mima, two brothers, Bernie Norsworthy and Milt Norsworthy; two sisters, Joan Combs, and Virginia Hansen.Private family services will take place at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; Doris Ford, age 91, of McCook, passed away early Sunday morning, June 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.&nbsp; Doris was born on October 19, 1930 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Charley and Pearlie (Foster) Manley.

&nbsp; &nbsp; On December 28, 1948, Doris was united in marriage to Walter Ford in Hernando, Mississippi.&nbsp; To this union two children would be born, Michael and Victoria.&nbsp; Walter was in the jewelry business and with their marriage a lifetime partnership began.&nbsp; Doris and Walter made their first home in Tennessee prior to moving to McCook in 1952.&nbsp; In 1954, they returned to Tennessee before making their final move to McCook in 1962.&nbsp; They owned and operated the Ford’s Jewelry Store in McCook; Doris was the face of the business, helping and greeting customers while Walter worked more in the back fixing and setting jewelry.&nbsp; Walter passed away in 1989 but Doris continued to work at the store until her retirement in 1997. &nbsp; &nbsp; Doris was a member of the Church of Christ in McCook.&nbsp; When not working or caring for her family, Doris enjoyed fishing, slot machines, country music, and dancing.&nbsp; She was happiest when taking care of others and took great pride in her large Sunday Dinners.

James Lee Bowman, 77, of Max, Nebraska, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at his home. Most people knew James as Jimmy or Jim.&nbsp; He was born in Arvada, Colorado and had a humble upbringing. Jim was very close to his grandparents, Edna and Joe Bloomer. Jim’s first wife was Sandra Kay Harner, and to this union, two children were born, Angie and Lisa. Unfortunately, Sandy passed away from Cancer. In 1981, Jim married Karen in Las Vegas, NV. Karen had three girls, Suzann, Orana, and Julie. Jim accepted Karen’s girls as his own and never passed up a chance to spoil them. In Jim’s early years, he served in the Army, was in Vietnam, and served in the National Guard as a medic. Jim worked for various trash companies in Denver. Jim had many interests and was always busy; he rode dirt bikes, hunted and enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle with Karen. He loved fishing, camping, old country music, old westerns, and Elvis. Jim was the Supervisor of Sanitation Department of the City of Northglenn and retired after 27 years. After Jim retired, he and Karen moved to Max, Nebraska. Jim worked for Bill Cawthra and Dundy County to keep busy. Karen joined the Red Hatters, and Jim was always building or creating something red and purple for the ladies. He also pulled the float in several parades. He didn’t waste any time making friends either. Jim and Karen both worked hard on the local fish fries and attended all the fun activities, including the Dundy County Fair and local concerts in the park. Jim served as Vice President of the Max Community Club and took pride in grooming the garden and mowing other Max residents’ lawns and his property. Every Christmas, he decorated his house and property. In their retirement, they loved to go fishing and they spent countless days at the lake. Jim and Karen loved their family and always welcomed visitors whether they knew you. Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen; daughters, Suzann (Jason) Bacon-Taylor of Thornton, CO, Orana (Robert) Wood of Durand, WI, Julie (Jeff) Paine of Northglenn, CO; grandchildren, Lucas (Nathalie), Aaron, Branden, Audrey (Michael), Arionna (Kyran), Larissa (Collin); great-grandchildren, Bella, Brielle, Abylina, Elijah, Cato and Clara; brothers, Kenny (Patty) Bowman, David Bowman, Barry Bowman; and one sister, Dianne Diaz (Basilio); close friend, Gary Davis; many special nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. &nbsp; Dorothy Mae Reese, 94, of Ogallala, passed away June 17, 2022, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala. Dorothy was born on March 12, 1928, the daughter of George and Molly (Eckhardt) Frick in Culbertson, Nebraska. Dorothy grew up and attended school in Culbertson, graduating from Culbertson High School in May 1946. On October 19, 1947, she married Dwayne Reese in Culbertson. They owned the Midget Cafe in Culbertson, which she ran while Dwayne taught school north of town. In 1949, they moved to Dresden, Kansas, where she became the head cook at the school where Dwayne taught. They moved to St. Francis, Kansas, for a time and then moved to Denver so Dwayne could earn his teaching degree. In 1956, they moved to Ogallala, and after substitute teaching for a while, Dorothy decided to finish her college education. She graduated from Chadron State College in 1966 after many summers attending summer school. Dorothy later returned to college for an Endorsement in Special Education. Dorothy taught in District 18, north of Ogallala, for four years and then Ogallala Public Schools for 23 years. She taught Fourth grade, Physical Education, High School Special Education, and Speed Reading for College-bound students. Dorothy was also the sponsor of Girls GAA. In 1976, she was recognized as Special Education Teacher of the Year. Dorothy was a 5O+ year member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. She was active in Women's Fellowship, Jumble Shop, Funeral Dinner Committee, and RSVP. She was a past member of Kappa Gamma Sorority, a TOPS member for many years, and always enjoyed her Pinochle card group. While her children were young, she taught Sunday School, was a Girl Scout leader and was a Boy Scout Den Mother. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, and they attended many dances around the country. They both loved traveling and had traveled all over the world, assisting Dwayne with hosting tours on their different trips. After retirement, they traveled to their winter home in McAllen, Texas, and the rest of the year in Ogallala. They enjoyed the many friends they made in their winter home. Survivors include one daughter Terry and her husband, Dale Larington of Ogallala; one son Troy Reese and his wife Pennie of Grant; one sister-in-law Helen Frick of Florida. Grandchildren are Stacie (Jimmy) Rash of Doniphan, Lance (Carlene) Larington of Ogallala, Jason (Adair) Reese, Shana (Todd) Kraus of Grant. Great-grandchildren are Olivia (Dylan) Mayfield and Sidney Rash, DeVere and Reese Larington, Ava and Alec Reese, Austin and Alexa Kraus. Many nieces and nephews around the country. &nbsp; PEGGY MARIE LAWLER, 92, of Paxton, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022. Peggy was born in Paxton in 1930 to Raul and Mary (Sale) Heiser. She graduated from Paxton High School. Peggy married Jim Lawler on September 26, 1949, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Paxton. The couple made their home on the Lawler homestead, and their union was blessed with three daughters. They farmed and raised cattle on that same homestead for their entire married lives. Peggy was a mainstay at St. Patrick's Catholic Church over the years, serving as accompanist and vocalist for Sunday Mass, weddings, and funerals. It was the perfect role for her, as she had both a deep love for God and music. Peggy was both strong and resilient. She was throwing 50 lb feed sacks around and chasing cattle well into her 80s. Peggy also knew what she liked and wasn't timid about speaking her mind, yet she was well known for her gregariousness and radiant smile. She had an eye for both style and a good deal and took delight in being thrifty. Peggy was also passionate. She held no higher passions than for God and her family. She had a subtle humor that often went undetected by the unvigilant but was unmistakable to those who knew her best. Peggy was an excellent cook, and her sour cream chocolate cake with seven-minute frosting was said to be so good that it could heal a broken heart. She was a devoted companion to her husband Jim for over 66 years. Together they enjoyed attending countless rodeos and gambling trips. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her son-in-law, Wayne Upton; grandson, Zachary Upton; two sisters, Lorna Shepardson and Irene Nelson; and a brother, Jack Heiser. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Upton of Monroe, Connecticut, Kae (Greg) Madden of Westminster, CO, and Jo (Barry) Perlinger of Paxton; 6 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Robert 'Bob' Crawford passed away at Linden Court on June 18, 2022, at the age of 90.

Bob, the son of Robert and Helen Crawford, was born March 14, 1932, in North Platte, where he resided his entire life. He graduated from North Platte High School with the Class of 1950 then hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad where he had a 37 year career working as a Clerk. Bob worked night shifts and was considerate of others with families, so he always volunteered to work the holiday shifts too. In April of 1958, Bob was united in marriage to Marilyn Kasha. They had a great life together and had recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. Bob and Marilyn enjoyed golfing and going out to eat. Bob also liked fishing and was an avid fan of Nebraska sports, often watching games on TV with Marilyn and their friend, Kim. Bob became a Master Mason in 1987 and was a member of the Shriners and Blue Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen; and in-laws, Alex and Dorothy Kasha. Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sister-in-law, Karen Kasha Eaves; his very special friend, Kim Kujath; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Phyllis Eileen Zeigler (1944-2022)

Shirley Sylvie (Schaper) McGinn, 74, passed away on June 16th&nbsp;at the Good Life Center in Callaway.&nbsp;

The daughter of Carlos and Ethel (Kleeb) Schaper, she was born on May 6, 1948, in Broken Bow, NE.&nbsp; She completed her education in the Broken Bow Public Schools, graduating in 1966.&nbsp; This is where her passion for music was developed, starting piano lessons as a young girl with her grandmother. Throughout school she accompanied many of the music ensembles and sang with many groups.&nbsp; She enrolled at the University of Nebraska as a music major.&nbsp; She perfected her voice, the oboe, piano, and organ at the University.&nbsp; A disappointment was that she was never able to be a member of the Cornhusker Marching Band, as it was only for men.&nbsp; She would have played the bell lyre if she had been able to march.&nbsp; On March 9, 1967, Shirley married Jim Stockham.&nbsp; After graduating from UNL with a degree in music education, they resided in Omaha where she taught elementary music in the Ralston Public Schools.&nbsp; While living in Omaha, their daughter, Karen Julie was born on July 19, 1971.&nbsp; Jim’s employment took them to Bloomington, Illinois, where they resided until the time of his death on May 29, 1974.&nbsp; Returning to Broken Bow, a blind date introduced her to Butch (Charles) McGinn, and they were married on September 8, 1975. &nbsp; At that time, she became the organist for St. Anselm’s Catholic Church, a position she held until her illness would not allow her to continue.&nbsp; On January 12th of 1979 they were blessed to be able to adopt their son, Matthew Charles.&nbsp; The city girl took to living on the ranch as a wife and mother until deciding that she needed something more to do when their empty nest was upon them. She found employment at Square One in Broken Bow.&nbsp; After working there several years, she decided to start her own clothing store, Kids Kloset.&nbsp; This venture later became My Kloset and The Kloset. She was very proud to have brought a variety of shopping options to Custer County and she managed the stores until she was forced to retire due to her illness. In addition, she was also involved in Friends of the Arts, Custer Coral, and the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.&nbsp; In retirement she found her next passion, playing bridge.&nbsp; Wednesday bridge was on the calendar first and foremost.

Shirley is survived by husband Butch, daughter Karen and husband Mike Weverka, son Matthew McGinn and wife Karen, grandchildren Michaela Weverka and Andy McNeil, Savannah and husband Andrew Jacobsen, Mya Weverka, Cass McGinn, Karsee McGinn and Kinslee McGinn and a host of cousins, family, and friends. Preceding her in death were a baby sister Sharon Julie, her parents Carlos and Ethel Schaper, many cousins, aunts, and uncles; especially Lucile and Wayne Schmitz who thought of her as their own, brother-in-law Mike McGinn and sisters-in-law Patricia McGinn, and Jan McGinn.&nbsp;

The family lived in Taylor, NE where she was raised with her five brothers and one sister. Laurie was a 1986 graduate of Loup County Public Schools. In April of 1987 Laurie married Patrick Rudnick and together they had three sons. Heath, Riley &amp; Jerod. After a tragic accident that took her younger brother Randy, Laurie was given full custody of her nephew Cody Wilson. During the years of raising the boys Laurie enjoyed crocheting and keeping a neat home and tidy outdoor space. She loved to listen to country music, converse with family and collect dream catchers, horses, and Indian decor. In the recent years prior to her passing Laurie took great pride in being her father (Buzz) full time caretaker. Laurie will be remembered for her kind and quiet disposition.&nbsp;

Jerry Bob McEntee, age 76, of North Platte, died June 16, 2022 at his home.&nbsp; He was born on December 3, 1945 in Stapleton, NE to Dennis and Phyllis (Haines) McEntee. Jerry graduated from Stapleton High School before being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam.&nbsp; After his discharge he returned to Stapleton where he married Phyllis Cook in 1971.&nbsp; To this union, there were 3 children, Jerry, Jay, and Melody.&nbsp; Jerry studied mechanics at Mid Plains and began his career around Stapleton doing mechanical work.&nbsp; He moved to North Platte in 1983 and worked with &nbsp;Goodyear and Standard Amoco.&nbsp; He later worked for Shank’s Mailing and retired from there. Jerry was an avid Husker and Denver Bronco fan, attending at least one Husker game a year.&nbsp; His faith was very important to him too.&nbsp; He enjoyed attended church and was in the production of the Last Supper many times.

Lee Paul Haumont, Jr age 79 of Broken Bow, NE passed away June 15, 2022, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE.

Lee was born to Lee Paul Haumont, Sr and Letha (Pracht) Haumont on December 26, 1942, in Broken Bow, NE.&nbsp; He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1962.&nbsp; He joined the Army National Guard where he served as a cook.&nbsp; He also attended Kearney State University and studied Agriculture and Home Economics.&nbsp; Lee resided in the French Table/Weissert area most of his life.

Lee had a deep love for family and tradition.&nbsp; He worked his farm with Allis Chalmers because that’s what his family used.&nbsp; He had Hereford cattle because that’s what his family had.&nbsp; He never wavered on those because it was the Haumont tradition.&nbsp; He was a sweet caring man but tried very hard to not let the mushy stuff show.

Lee is survived by brother Glen (Genny) Haumont of McCool Junction, sister Carol (Tom Richter) Haumont of Kearney, nieces Brenda (Peter) Dunbar, Amanda (Bill) Schropfer, and Clancie (Yassir Derkaoui) Haumont, nephews Mike (Anita) Haumont, Robert (Selena) Haumont, and Simon (Nikole) Haumont, many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents and brother Clarence Haumont.

Mary Veldron Harmon (1925-2022)

Gary L. “Jobby” Jobman, 79 of Lexington passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Gary was born March 24, 1943 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Bernhard and Mabel (Ackerman) Jobman. He attended school in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High School. During his school years, he was employed by the bowling alley as a pin setter, which began his long time passion for bowling. He joined the National Guard in May of 1964 and served his country until being honorably discharged in 1970. In 1975, he was united in marriage to Leila Marshall and became a step-father to two daughters: Kimberley and Suzanne. The couple would later divorce. In his early working days he was employed as a bread delivery man for Old Home Bread and also worked delivering milk. He later opened Mr. J’s Liquor in Cozad, worked for Monroes in Cozad and then moved to Lexington in 1996. In Lexington, “Jobby” worked for Mr. Automotive and Strike And Spare Bowling before retiring in 2006. Jobby loved helping kids with trying to master bowling, putting together puzzles, Husker Athletics, Duke Basketball, Dodgers Baseball and was a huge supporter of Lexington High School Athletics.

Jobby is survived by his daughters: Kimberley and husband David Grimes of Hastings and Suzanne and husband Del Miller of Kearney. One sister, Kay and husband David Anderson of Amherst, five grandchildren: Tristan Kasten, Hallie Kasten, Kaleb Miller, Kolten Miller and Kylee Miller, Nieces and nephews: Rita (Duane) Katt, Russell (Lisa) Anderson, Rogene (Victor) Rasmussen, and Robin (Greg) Billings, as well as many great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 3-5 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Gary L. Jobby Jobman (1943-2022)

Richard “Dick” DeWayne Schnacker, 85, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington.

He was born on December 23, 1936, in rural Amherst, Nebraska to Richard John and Velma (Labs) Schnacker.&nbsp; His family made their home on the farm near Amherst and he attended public schools in Amherst.&nbsp; When Dick was young, his father passed away and he started helping on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Fuqua on August 31, 1963 in Elwood.&nbsp; They made their home in Lexington.&nbsp; Two sons were blessed to this union: Rex and Rick. Their marriage would later end in divorce. While living in Lexington, Dick worked as a Foreman for Cornland Dressed Beef before he purchased Schnacker’s Country Bar.&nbsp; Dick then sold the bar in 1983 and started working for Al Kuck out of Smithfield.&nbsp; This would be the beginning of a long career in moving dirt, working in his scraper which he thoroughly enjoyed.&nbsp; Dick lived next to his brother Gary, near Johnson Lake before he moved to Yuma, Arizona. Dick spent the next twenty-plus years in Yuma, before moving back to Lexington to be closer to family.&nbsp; Dick was an avid hunter, enjoyed shooting pool, and was an accomplished fast pitch softball player in his younger years. His greatest joy was just being outdoors and doing outdoor activities, which included boating and camping. He was a proud member of the NRA.

Survivors include his two sons, Rex (Tammy) Schnacker of Lexington and Rick (Angie) Schnacker of Humboldt; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores (Dick) Heil of Yuma, Arizona and Lexi (George) Lundgren of Yankton, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Sandy Schnacker of Lexington; half-sister, Shelly Zimmer of San Jacinto, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Besides his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Schnacker.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. Jim was a Korean Veteran serving in the US Air Force receiving an honorable discharge November 24, 1953. Jim and Pearl Andrew were married on June 17, 1967, and returned to the Palisade area where they made their home. Jim worked many years and retired from the Wauneta Coop and also owned and operated the Palisade Café. Jim was active in the Palisade Chapter of the VFW and was a life long member. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife Pearl; brother Ivan; sisters Sharon Andrew and Karen Steinbeck and daughters Rose Christner and Kathy Hamilton. She had a sweet demeanor and a kind heart. She lived in Nebraska, Kuwait, South Dakota and Tennessee over the course of her lifetime. Gale's favorite things included sailing, writing letters, reading true stories, making paper crafts, puppies and kittens, and celebrating holidays - especially Christmas. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. Her nieces and nephews, plus great-nieces and nephews will miss getting hand-made letters with comics in the mail from Gale. Gale E. Stonehouse (1951-2022)

Michael “Mike” Alan Tockey, 66 of Brady, NE passed away June 14, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1955 at Grand Island, NE to Thomas Paul Tockey and Eleanor Emily Harders. Michael grew up in the Grand Island area. His family moved to North Platte in 1973 and started his career at the Union Pacific Railroad for 23 years. He is the father to 5 children; Brandi, Tom, Seth, Rollie and Cody. Michael loved to ride horses and do anything outside. He was a true cowboy. Loved history of all kinds and genealogy. He was a golden glove boxer in high school. Participated in wild horse races. Loved fishing, hunting deer and camping. He loved gardening and animals. He was very hard-working man with a great personality, appreciation for everything life gave him, with a strong faith in the Lord. He was an excellent arm wrestler and knew a lot about astronomy and knew all the constellations.

Michael is survived by his children; Brandi Tockey Coleman of Grand Island, Thomas (Tommy) Tockey of Grand Island, Seth Tockey of North Platte, and Cody Tockey of Cozad, Brother, Bradley Tockey; sisters, Amy Tockey of Maxwell, Deborah (Jeff) Simonton of North Platte, Kimberly Parrett of Maxwell, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; his dog Emmy; 2 cats Lucky and Larry.  </figure>Michael “Mike” Alan Tockey, 66 of Brady, NE passed away June 14, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1955 at Grand Island, NE to Thomas Paul Tockey and Eleanor Emily Harders. Michael grew up in the Grand Island area. His family moved to North Platte in 1973 and started his career at the Union Pacific Railroad for 23 years. He is the father to 5 children; Brandi, Tom, Seth, Rollie and Cody. Michael loved to ride horses and do anything outside. He was a true cowboy. Loved history of all kinds and genealogy. He was a golden glove boxer in high school. Participated in wild horse races. Loved fishing, hunting deer and camping. He loved gardening and animals. He was very hard-working man with a great personality, appreciation for everything life gave him, with a strong faith in the Lord. He was an excellent arm wrestler and knew a lot about astronomy and knew all the constellations.Michael is survived by his children; Brandi Tockey Coleman of Grand Island, Thomas (Tommy) Tockey of Grand Island, Seth Tockey of North Platte, and Cody Tockey of Cozad, Brother, Bradley Tockey; sisters, Amy Tockey of Maxwell, Deborah (Jeff) Simonton of North Platte, Kimberly Parrett of Maxwell, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; his dog Emmy; 2 cats Lucky and Larry. Michael "Mike" Alan Tockey (1955-2022)

Bob was born in Norton, KS, to William and Betty (Seefeldt) Karre on April 30, 1951. At the age of 3, Bob moved with his parents and siblings to North Platte, NE, the place he would call home for the remainder of his days. After a decade-long battle with Multiple System Atrophy-Parkinsonian type,&nbsp;Bob passed away on June 14, 2022. Despite the struggles his disease brought, Bob never complained of his diagnosis and trusted in God’s plan. To those close to him, Bob remained the same loving husband and father. Bob attended Our Redeemer Lutheran School through the eighth grade before transitioning to North Platte Senior High School and then Mid Plains Community College. Later in life, Bob attended woodworking classes, crafting beautiful furniture and embracing new friendships.&nbsp; Bob began working at a young age with his father at Cook’s Paint, learning the value of hard work and dedication. When he turned sixteen, he took his first job in the food industry at Merrick’s Ranch House, not yet realizing the large role it would play in his life and the lives of his family. &nbsp;He left the restaurant a couple of years later to manage A &amp; W, until it was later sold. Bob then returned to Merrick’s Ranch House which he would later own and operate for 34 years with his wife, Jacki.&nbsp; Being able to work side by side with his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as countless invaluable employees, was a great source of pride and joy for Bob. Throughout his life, he was a well-respected member within his community.&nbsp; Bob met his love and best friend, Jacki, at the age of sixteen. They married in 1973 and had five children: Amy (Trevor) Golter, Brent (Brooke), Brian (VaKara), Kristy (Eric) Robinson, and Dustin. Bob loved having a house full of family and especially adored his fifteen loving grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his brothers, Alan, Richie (Geni), Todd (Christina); sisters, Karen (Tim) Jackson, Dorothy (Chris) Heglin, Susan (Kevin) Krzyzanowksi; brother-in-law, Art Carnes. Bob enjoyed a special relationship with his brother, Alan, particularly in later years, as the two could often be found laughing and sharing memories during many of Alan’s visits.&nbsp; Bob loved all family and cherished his siblings-in-law, Greg Sexton, Bob (Kim) Sexton, Suzanne (Bill) Burbach, Stephanie (Steve) Branch, and Maureen (Mike) Harlander. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cheryl Carnes; in-laws, Jack and Patricia Sexton; nephews, Chris Jr. Heglin and Michael Karre.&nbsp;

A memorial has been established to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bob’s name.&nbsp; Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.&nbsp; with Reverend Dan Ramsey officiating.&nbsp; Bob will be laid to rest at Plainview Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be held noon – 7, Sunday, June 19, with family receiving friends from 5-7, at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.&nbsp; The service will be live-streamed via the Adams &amp; Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
