Gerald James "Jim" Lee, 91, of Elsie, NE, a patient, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed into eternal life on June 26, 2023.

Jim was born on September 14, 1931, on a homestead south of Elsie, NE. He was one of six children born to George and Margaret Lee. He attended St. Patrick's Academy in Sidney, NE, graduating at the age of 16 in 1948, and went to work on the family farm.

On November 26, 1955, Jim married the love of his life, Dorie Kildare. They raised six children, teaching them that a strong work ethic and education were assets that, once attained, could never be taken away. With many sacrifices, they ensured all their children graduated from college.

Jim enjoyed visiting with family and friends and, of course, the occasional implement or feed salesman. He was an example of integrity, honesty, and fairness. His handshake was his word. Jim had an eye for livestock and a love of farming and was known for his stories, good advice, and love of God's creation. He treasured his family, faith, and community and was a devout member of the Resurrection of our Lord Catholic Church in Elsie.

Jim's strong bond with his wife Dorie was evidenced when they both died on June 26, Jim following exactly one year after her.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, four siblings, his grandsons, Thomas and Francis, granddaughter Sadie, and many other dear family members and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Pam Allison (Glenn), Pat (Deb), Teri Konzak (Duane), Joe (Kelly), Ric (Karen), Roxi Lee (Keith), 18 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother Vince, sister-in-law, Janet, and many others.

Jim Lee (1931-2023)

Gerald “Jerry” Edward Dallam, 90, of North Platte, passed away on June 26, 2023, at Kearney Regional. &nbsp;He was born to Daniel and Ida (Colling) Dallam on February 16, 1933, in Table Rock, NE.

He was raised in South East Nebraska, attending schools and graduating high school from Talmage High School in 1951. &nbsp;Immediately upon graduation, Jerry enlisted in the United States Air Force. &nbsp;He spent some time stationed in Japan which he was most excited about. &nbsp;There, he picked up the language and would often speak Japanese to the nurses and staff that took care of him in his final years of life. &nbsp;

While visiting his parents in Trenton, Jerry met Dixie Miller. &nbsp;They were married on August 13, 1956, in Trenton, NE. &nbsp;The couple had two children, Sherrie and Randy. &nbsp;Jerry was discharged from the military in 1957. &nbsp;He and Dixie made their forever home in Trenton where he lived for over 50 years. &nbsp;Jerry’s entire working life was spent farming on Millerville Ranch North of Trenton. &nbsp;

Jerry was a member of several clubs including the Eagles, the Moose, the American Legion, and the Elk’s Club. &nbsp;He was involved in bowling leagues and enjoyed hunting of all kinds, but especially pheasants. &nbsp;Gardening was one of Jerry’s biggest passions. &nbsp;He gardened an assortment of vegetables and loved to can, anything from cinnamon pickles to sauerkraut. &nbsp;He was known to have an outstanding memory and would often tease the nurses. &nbsp;The family would like to express an abundance of gratitude to the staff at the Central Nebraska Veteran’s Home in Kearney.

Remembering Jerry are his children: Sherrie (Fred) Burke, of North Platte, and Randy Dallam, of Lincoln; very special nephew, Terry Runyon, of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Cory Dallam, of Lincoln, and Sara (Nate) Bolser, of Highland Ranch, CO; great grandchildren, Emily Boyle, Treyton Burke, Jack Boyle, Carter Bolser, and Camden Bolser; along with other family.

Gerald "Jerry" Dallam (1933-2023)

&nbsp; Theodore Raile was born on March 7, 1937, in St. Francis, KS. Larry Passed away on June 23, 2023, at the Imperial Manor quietly in his sleep at the age of 86. His childhood was spent with five sisters and two brothers in and around St. Francis, Kansas. He was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He attended Cheyenne County country school until the 8th grade and continued working on the family farm. On June 5, 1955, he married Phyllis Roesener and began a lifelong career in the auction sales business starting at the Benkelman Livestock Auction Market. In 1959, the Imperial Auction Market became home to Larry, Phyllis and three children, Deb, Candy, and Butch. His success as an auctioneer grew to the point he was traveling constantly to sell at some of the largest sale barns in the country. His auction cry was well known in places like Ogallala, Alma, Ericson, NE, Belle Fourche, SD and La Junta, CO to name a few. He competed for and finished runner-up in the National Championship Auctioneer contest. In addition to his busy barn schedule, he held many farm and ranch sales in several states. Larry was always a hand with horses and loved training and working with them. In later years he organized and led numerous wagon train drives across various parts of Nebraska. At the height of the drives as many as 30 wagons and teams and more than a hundred people were involved. Larry was active in 4-H where he led the Silver Spurs horse club for many years. He was always available to help with branding or gathering a herd of cattle for someone. When there was true cowboy work to be done, Larry often got the call. There were not many, any better, to handle a cattle wreck than him, if you needed help with one. Larry never met a stranger and regardless of where you went, someone there had heard of Larry Raile. He will live on in many stories that will only get better. Theodore "Larry" T Raile (1937-2023)

Jim A. Styskal, 81, longtime resident of Grant, NE, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

Jim was born October 4, 1941, in Grant, Nebraska to Anton and Ann (Trojan) Styskal. He graduated from Grant High School and found love in his fellow native, Beverly "Bev" Ramsey. The two were married on September 5, 1964. Their union was blessed with one son, Michael.

Jim's passion for cars started early on in life on a farm north of Grant. His first car would be the only Ford he ever owned-a red, mint condition 1949 Ford, that had a trusty Chevy engine. This love for Chevy's started his mechanic career, that spanned 58 years.

His drag racing career quickly followed with a 1955 Chevy, resulting in countless Sundays spent at Platte Valley Custom Club, which conducted drag races on the runway of the Julesburg Municipal Airport. Jim held the track record for many years during the '60s and early '70s. His love of the NHRA lasted his entire life.

His perfectionism for mechanics lead to his own 8-13 car collection which brought muscle car enthusiasts from all over the midwest to Top Notch Automotive to have their cars built by one of the regions leading Chevy horsepower shops. Not to mention, also servicing the local farmers, ranchers, business fleet owners and locals from miles around. Jim was THE go to Chevy guy.

Jim poured great pride and attentiveness in all that he did. However, nothing gave him such joy and pride as the raising of their son, Michael, alongside his wife, Bev. The pride they felt watching their son grow into a man and in turn, witnessing their grandchildren, Izak and Ivan, grow, was immeasurable.

Jim was also fond of his and Bev's travels, especially the treasured memories made on the many Hot Rod Power Tours.

Despite a life-altering accident in 2012 that left him in a wheelchair, he continued to find joy in the simpler things of life and demonstrated a resilience that was truly inspiring.

The journey he and Bev traversed strengthened their bond despite the difficulties they faced and was a testament to their shared faith and trust in the Lord. His life echoed the principles of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Styskal, his parents and parents-in-law. He is survived by his son Michael and his wife, Ann Mudrovich and their children, Izak &amp; Ivan, of Seattle, WA; along with sister Janie Ticknor of Denver, brother Bill from San Antonio, and local Grant native Jerry Styskal; his brother-in-law, Rich Ramsey of Glendale, AZ, and a host of relatives, super passionate and loving caregivers, and friends who will sorely miss his presence.

James A. Styskal (1941-2023)

Edwin&nbsp;Befort peacefully passed away at Great Plains Health on June 24, 2023, at the age of 80.

Ed was born January 11, 1943, to Albert and Florine Befort in Weskan, KS. &nbsp;He grew up in Imperial, NE, and graduated from Imperial High School in 1961. &nbsp;

Ed was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1964. &nbsp;He served in the Vietnam War during 1965 then was honorably discharged in 1966.

On November 9, 1968, Edwin was united in marriage to Shirley Johnston. &nbsp;They made their home in Paxton and had two children, Vonnie and Greg. &nbsp;He later married Ardell Murray on May 6, 1994, in North Platte.

Ed had a long career with Nebraska Public Power District. &nbsp;He started in 1968 then transferred to North Platte in 1983 and worked at the Hydro Plant in water resources. &nbsp;After 37 years with NPPD, Ed retired on January 11, 2005.

Ed was a lifetime member of the Paxton American Legion Post #303, an active lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #7598 and #1504, and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. &nbsp;He was a very outside person who enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing and hunting. &nbsp;He also enjoyed traveling, reading and was very interested in history. &nbsp;Ed especially enjoyed his grandchildren, they were very special to him.

He is survived by his wife, Ardell, daughter, Vonnie (Larry) Hebblethwaite and son, Greg (Jessica) Befort, all of North Platte; stepson, Steven (Becky) Kapperman of Friend, NE; his sister, Judy (Robert) Bedford of North Platte; sisters-in-law, Bev Befort of North Platte and Delores Befort of Colorado; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and other family.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Oliver, Duane, Ronald and Donald; and his sister, Valeria.

 </figure>Edwin&nbsp;Befort peacefully passed away at Great Plains Health on June 24, 2023, at the age of 80.Ed was born January 11, 1943, to Albert and Florine Befort in Weskan, KS. &nbsp;He grew up in Imperial, NE, and graduated from Imperial High School in 1961. &nbsp;Ed was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1964. &nbsp;He served in the Vietnam War during 1965 then was honorably discharged in 1966.On November 9, 1968, Edwin was united in marriage to Shirley Johnston. &nbsp;They made their home in Paxton and had two children, Vonnie and Greg. &nbsp;He later married Ardell Murray on May 6, 1994, in North Platte.Ed had a long career with Nebraska Public Power District. &nbsp;He started in 1968 then transferred to North Platte in 1983 and worked at the Hydro Plant in water resources. &nbsp;After 37 years with NPPD, Ed retired on January 11, 2005.Ed was a lifetime member of the Paxton American Legion Post #303, an active lifetime member of V.F.W. Randie Rae Powers, 76, of North Platte, NE entered the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, June 24, 2023 after an extensive stay at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.

She was born on March 10, 1947 in Waynesville, Missouri the daughter of Clyde Leo Powers and Emma Elizabeth (Cordry) Powers.

Randie grew up in Missouri and lived in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska. &nbsp;She worked in housekeeping and cooking at local restaurants, as well as the North Platte Daylight Donuts for many years. &nbsp;She was kind, loving and caring, and had a great sense of humor. &nbsp;She sometimes surprised people with what she would say. &nbsp;She loved God and was a devoted Christian and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. &nbsp;The happiest day of her life was when her daughter Angela was born. &nbsp;She loved to read, do word searches, play Yahtzee and Farkle. &nbsp;She also enjoyed drawing, watching old movies, and listening to country and gospel music. &nbsp;Randie loved spending time with her family, especially cooking and baking. &nbsp;She made the world’s best homemade chicken and noodles, and her pies were elegant and delicious.

Those left to cherish Randie’s memory are daughter, Angela Lindsey of North Platte; grandchildren, Trystina Muir of Grand Blanc, MI, Jordyn Lindsey, Darcey Lindsey and fiancée Chris Taylor, and Faythe Lindsey all of North Platte; great grandchildren, Skylar, Chloe, Zachary, and Gavin; sister, JoAnn Michaels; brothers, James Leo Powers, Larry Powers all of North Platte, and Tom Powers of Clearwater, FL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. &nbsp;

Randie Rae Powers (1947-2023)

Alice Joan Wulf, age 80, of Cambridge, NE passed away at the Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, NE on Thursday, June 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cambridge on July 2, 1942, to Loyal and Winifred (Sexton) Foster.&nbsp; Alice attended school in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1960. Alice was united in marriage to Darrell Wulf on October 8, 1961. To his union three children were born: Darren, Douglas and Delisa. The family made their home on a farm north of Cambridge in 1971. It’s on that farm where Alice shared with her children her love of the outdoors and instilled the importance of work ethic and compassion for others.

Alice was employed as a secretary by the Twin Valley Public Power District (REA) from 1960 until 1968 when she left briefly to take on her favorite job raising her children. Once we nurtured them into adolescence, she returned to Twin Valley in 1983 and continued there until her retirement on her birthday in 2004.&nbsp; She volunteered at Tri-Valley Health System and the Thrift Shop after her retirement. When not taking care of her children, grandchildren, and helping on the farm, she enjoyed antiques, embroidery, and especially out mowing around the house and farm.&nbsp; The family remembers her wonderful breakfasts and desserts, including her Grape Nuts pie (poor man’s pecan pie) and cinnamon rolls. Alice was very blessed by her grandchildren, and they were her constant focus.&nbsp; She was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan, but you could find her watching just about any sporting event if there was something interesting on television. Alice also looked forward to her frequent outings with her gang of dear friends, affectionately known around town as the Flossie Posse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyal and Winifred; husband, Darrell; brother, John and sister-in-law Charlene Foster, and brother-in-law, Dale Pearson.&nbsp;

Roger Keith Fenstermacher passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at his home in Cozad at the age of 79. Roger was born October 10, 1943 in Cozad, Nebraska to Earl and Ardeen (Adamson) Fenstermacher. He attended rural schools and graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1962. He married Patricia Ann McFarren in 1964. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Joda, Amber and Crista. Roger worked as a plumber and owned his own business as a well driller. He retired from Monroe Auto. Roger was proficient in woodworking and won numerous grand champion ribbons at the county fair. He was a hard worker and could fix anything that was broken. He loved his girls and their families. He attended dance recitals, soccer games, softball games, music contests and anything else the grands were in. Roger loved to be outdoors and spend many hours on his lawn and garden. He was a long time member of the Cozad United Methodist Church and attended regularly. Roger loved to go hunting with his best friend Tom Kjar and looked forward to it every year.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ardeen Fenstermacher; in laws, Richard and IonaBelle McFarren; brother, Robert Fenstermacher; nephew, Shawn Davis; great granddaughter, Gretchen; son in law, Tom Hagan; and brother in law, Dale Sherman.

Marvin D. Linder Sr. of Cozad passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, surrounded by his family, at the age of 81. Marvin was born March 11, 1942 in Lexington, Nebraska to William Sr. and Thelma (Elliot) Linder. He joined the Army National Guard right out of school. Marvin married Dorthy Barta on March 10, 1961 in Lexington, Nebraska where they lived for several years, before moving to Cozad in 1982. Their union was blessed with 4 children, Dani, Marvin Jr., Micky and Donna Jo, and bonus son, Mark, who was very special to Marvin. He worked on farms, hay mills, Sperry New Holland, and ended his work career as a security guard at Monroe Auto. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with family. He was the family handyman. He also knew no stranger, if he met you, you would remember his by his sense of humor. He was never serious until he needed to be. Marvin D. Linder Sr.  (1942-2023)

David Mowery passed away on May 27th 2023 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 71. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Robyn, their son Stuart and his wife Kellie (Hawkins) and their children Toni, Mason and Zoe who reside in Sidney, NE. Toni lives in Texas with her husband Wesley Swick and their two children Carley and Reed. Their second child Sarah married Gary Rothenberg. They reside in Cape Coral, FL with their two children Van and Max.

Dave was born September 6th, 1951 to Clyde and Dorothy Mowery in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a blonde haired, blue eyed, dimpled little darling who was born with a happy, jovial and loving personality that stayed with him all his life.

Dave had two half brothers, Thomas Lynn and Gerald Lee Fischer. Dave's parents and brother Tom predeceased him.

Dave married Robyn (Givens) Burgeson on June 1st, 1979. He told her that all he could promise is that it would never be boring. Dave, Robyn and their son Stuart started their lives together in a suburb of Rochester, NY, where Dave went to work for Champion Products as their New Product Development Associate. Although Rochester was fun, new and exciting, it was not the Midwest that they both missed. Subsequently, they moved to Sidney, NE where he worked for Safe Play Tuff-Wear as National Sales Manager and they were much closer to their families. This is where their second child Sarah Nicole was born.

Safe Play Tuff-Wear manufactured aprons, boxing rings and gloves and Dave traveled across the United States promoting and selling their equipment. During this time, he contracted with Sylvester Stallone to wear Tuff-Wear boxing gloves in one of his Rocky movies. He and Robyn were invited to Las Vegas to attend a Rocky movie reception with many Hollywood stars in attendance and Frank Stallone entertaining the crowd on the piano. Robyn later told Dave that it had definitely not been boring as he had promised!

Dave then started his own manufacturing company in Sidney, NE, which he called USAprons. He purchased a building and equipment and hired individuals who constructed the aprons and many other related pieces of uniform apparel which sometimes contained embroidery. His son Stuart became an integral part of the company and performed many different tasks including screen printing, cutting dozens of aprons at a time, sales, accounts receivable and doing most of the trade show traveling in later years. USAprons also manufactured dog beds and decoy bags for Cabela's. They became so busy that he opened a satellite plant in Ogallala and bought another building to house the massive inventory his employees were now making. Due to his nation wide distribution, he and Robyn were able to travel to many different destinations and make friends almost everywhere they went.

Golf became a big love in Dave's life. He made many lifelong friends golfing and rabble rousing with his buddies at the Sidney Country Club where he and Robyn would enjoy dining and whenever possible, dancing to the Cal Cutright band.

In retirement, Dave and Robyn moved to Florida where the weather was inviting and their daughter and family resided. In the summers they would go back to Robyn's beloved childhood retreat at Johnson Lake, NE, closer to Sidney, NE, and where their son and his family could join them on weekends and vacations.

A little known fact was Dave's generosity. He helped numerous employees, WNCC, charities as well as local and city events.

As time marched on, Dave started having health issues that slowed him down considerably. Near the end of his life, he spent a few days in the hospital which was unacceptable to him. Upon demand, he went home to spend the rest of his days on the family lanai in FL. With the aid of Robyn, his daughter Sarah and hospice, he finished life in his nonconformist fashion. He loved watching the sun rise and set, the rain clouds move in, the beautiful Florida foliage and hearing the birds chirp and watching them fly overhead and perch on the power lines in precision.

He died at home in peace with Robyn and Sarah by his side.

David Mowery (1951-2023)

Jerry Emeree McClain, age 92, of Arvada, CO passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Jerry was born on July 10, 1930 in McCook, NE to Claude E. and Etta Marie (Melkus) McClain.&nbsp; He attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1949.&nbsp; Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served from 1950 to 1953.

Jerry worked for the City of Arvada, CO for 29 years retiring in 1982.&nbsp; He loved to golf, bowling and making ceramics.&nbsp; Jerry especially enjoyed traveling across the United States and abroad.&nbsp;

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Leonard.

Jerry is survived by his children, Terry, James and Sheila McClain all of Colorado. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

&nbsp; Roger Moline of Lamar, Nebraska was born August 6, 1935, and passed away June 22, 2023 in Nebraska City, Nebraska, at the age of 87 of complications of MDS which was diagnosed in Nov. 2022. Roger was practical, common sensical, and analytical, added to that a great sense of humor and storyteller. He was a life-long learner. He will be missed immensely. Roger was one of two boys and two girls born to Wesley and Carol (Foster) Moline in York, Nebraska. The family lived on their farm west of York. He attended York Schools, walking uphill both ways, sometimes riding his pony with his sisters in tow. He graduated from high school, and then went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was in Alpha Gamma Roe (AGR). He graduated with a BS from the university in a little over 3 years in 1956 with degrees in agriculture and agriculture economics. Roger and Jean (Bedient) Moline (also of York) married on February 24, 1957. Three children were born to them and loved by them: Brenda, Beth and Brad. Roger and Jean began farming east of Bradshaw in York County. Jean, a city girl from York, gradually and with enthusiasm adapted to farm life. They were first in an old house with no interior plumbing, and then in a three bedroom, one bath house. In 1972, he set out on an adventure for the family to move to Chase County near Lamar where they had purchased land. He was made famous by his tenacity in driving numerous times across the State of Nebraska to transport equipment, possessions and even horses (picture: the Clampetts). They worked incredibly hard, and made mostly good, practical decisions. Roger designed and built an innovative climate efficient home starting in 1980 and finishing 1984. They enjoyed family and friend gatherings in the house. They attended all the kids’ activities. In 2000, they retired, celebrated with lifelong friends attending the auction and festivities. Roger stayed involved maintaining the irrigation systems. He tinkered with and repaired small engines and equipment, and eventually his baby blue 1955 Packard and '80s era Buick Riviera. They loved their grandchildren so much and enjoyed having them all come for Science Camp every other year, for the Chase County Fair, and every Christmas. They attended most of Adam and Ryan’s sporting and music events. After loving care by Roger, Jean passed away in October 2011. Friends Scott and Joan Hogeland introduced him to beautiful, lovely Carol (Joan’s sister). Roger and Carol courted for a while long distance, then on a cruise became engaged. They married on Christmas Eve 2014 celebrated by the two families. Roger and Carol spent the next seven years living in Polsbo, Washington in the summer and winter, and Lamar, Nebraska in the spring and fall. They traveled to Alaska, Russia, and eastern and western Europe. They enjoyed meeting people and experiencing the world. They had nearly completed a move to Nebraska City earlier this year. Roger Moline (1935-2023)

Thomas Shea, 73, of Gothenburg, NE passed away on June 22, 2023. Thomas was born to Earl and Sylvia (Joines) Shea in Lexington, NE on October 4th, 1949. He grew up in Oconto, NE where he attended grade school and graduated from Oconto High School. After high school, he attended Wayne State College for two years before moving to Cozad and then Lexington. In 1971 he moved to Gothenburg where he resided until his passing.&nbsp;

In 1971, Thomas began working at Paulsens Building and Supply and continued his employment there until 1974 when he started working for Baker and Associates in Scottsbluff for two years. In 1976, he formed his own Concrete Construction Company which provided services until Tom's retirement in 2016. His career spanned a total of fifty years providing service to the Gothenburg community and surrounding areas.

Thomas married Lois Ann Buss on March 14th, 1996 in Las Vegas NV. Together they raised one son named Matthew Thomas Shea who currently resides in Omaha. Tom had several hobbies that included hunting pheasant based out of South Dakota and elk hunting with trips to Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. He also enjoyed trapshooting which led him to become a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association where he organized and coached the Gothenburg Trap team for eleven years starting in the year of his marriage.

Thomas cherished spending time with his family but was always willing to lend an understanding ear whether it was as a friend or companion to anyone near him either within work or personal life.

Thomas is survived by his son Matthew; three brothers: Robert (Madonna) Shea of Alexandria VA., James "Tweet" Shea of Holdrege NE., Bill Shea of Fremont NE.; three sisters: Lisa (George) Hendricksen of Cozad NE., Amy Oxford of Broken Bow NE., Sally (Paul) Schumaker of Omaha NE.; and sister-in-law, Jolene Shea of Galt, CA, Cindy (Dan) Finnegan of Cozad, NE, and brother in law Tim (Kim) Buss of Cozad, NE along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends

He is preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents Earl and Sylvia Shea, brother Jerry Shea and father-in-law Elvin Buss and mother-in-law Imogene Buss.

Thomas touched the hearts of everyone he met with his charm and kindness that radiated from deep within him. His profound personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Thursday June 29,2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Grace Gichuru officiating.

Inurnment will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery at a later date.&nbsp;

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association, Gothenburg Trap Team, or Central Plains Home Health and Hospice.&nbsp;

Together they raised one son named Matthew Thomas Shea who currently resides in Omaha. Tom had several hobbies that included hunting pheasant based out of South Dakota and elk hunting with trips to Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. He also enjoyed trapshooting which led him to become a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association where he organized and coached the Gothenburg Trap team for eleven years starting in the year of his marriage.Thomas cherished spending time with his family but was always willing to lend an understanding ear whether it was as a friend or companion to anyone near him either within work or personal life.Thomas is survived by his son Matthew; three brothers: Robert (Madonna) Shea of Alexandria VA., James "Tweet" Shea of Holdrege NE., Bill Shea of Fremont NE.; three sisters: Lisa (George) Hendricksen of Cozad NE., Amy Oxford of Broken Bow NE., Sally (Paul) Schumaker of Omaha NE.; and sister-in-law, Jolene Shea of Galt, CA, Cindy (Dan) Finnegan of Cozad, NE, and brother in law Tim (Kim) Buss of Cozad, NE along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friendsHe is preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents Earl and Sylvia Shea, brother Jerry Shea and father-in-law Elvin Buss and mother-in-law Imogene Buss.Thomas touched the hearts of everyone he met with his charm and kindness that radiated from deep within him. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Garden County Fairgrounds Arena in Lewellen with Pastor Matt Waitley of the New Hope Church of Ogallala officiating.&nbsp; Horses and their riders are encouraged to attend.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the Antelope Valley Cemetery near Oshkosh.

Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh.

Terrel Cob Vineyard was born February 19, 1996, in Ogallala, Nebraska- to proud parents Shawn and Nancy Vineyard – joining an older sister, Tori. &nbsp;They lived at the Buckhorn Springs Ranch east of Keystone Nebraska- Terrel wore out 2 stick horses and numerous hats and boots before they moved to Oshkosh, Nebraska in 1999.

Nancy started working full time and Tori was off to kindergarten—that meant Terrel and his dad were working side by side together every day. He started riding full time when he was 4 years old and calved his first full spring horseback that next spring. His good horse at that time was Lucky- or Yucky, if you can’t pronounce your L’s yet.&nbsp; Terrel and Lucky were a great pair.

Terrel started school in 2001, Shawn was a one man show after that. Weekends and holidays, that’s when “the big stuff got done.” As it does for most kids- summer time held some of the best memories: riding pastures, doctoring calves, fencing, haying, and everything in between. Shawn, Terrel, and Tori did it all - together, every day.

At the age of six, Terrel learned to rope on Cheri Kessen’s good horse Ornery. &nbsp;Over the years, hours and hours were spent in the Kessen’s, Grote’s, and Alworth’s arenas. Dan Kessen, Joe Grote, Mike McGinley, and Jim Alworth were some of Terrel’s first mentors and heroes right behind his dad.

Shortly after, Shawn bought Cowboy for Terrel. Shawn knew he needed this horse.

Terrel and Cowboy quickly became a match and by the time Cowboy was 5 and Terrel was 8 they were a full-time team and never looked back. He calf roped, headed, heeled, and ranched on Cowboy from junior high to college. Cowboy won AQHA Horse of the year three times and qualified for Junior High National Rodeo Finals in Gallup, New Mexico twice in team roping and ribbon roping.

Terrel went to LCCC in Cheyenne, WY on a rodeo scholarship in the fall of 2014.

Terrel continued roping here and finally got to bulldog when he purchased Peyote.

Before moving back home to the Ranch, Terrel worked for Paul Grimesman. He rode countless horses everyday there. Terrel told of one horse by the name of Wildman. The first time out of the boxes he ran right past the steer and hit the back fence. Wildman did get better and is now pro rodeoing.

Terrel was great at making friends- anywhere he was. He maintained his first friendships and made a million more along the way. He had success in the arena, but he was most proud of the friendships he made. To know Terrel was to love Terrel.

Terrel moved back home and started working full time on the ranch in 2017. Terrel and his dad were working side by side together every day again.

Upon returning home, Terrel continued team roping. Many of you knew his horse Shorty. Terrel and Shorty drove countless miles together over the years. They qualified three times for World Series of Team Roping in Las Vegas.

A few years after moving back, Terrel laid eyes on Stacey and told all his friends ‘I would marry that girl someday.’ Even before Stacey knew who he was. Stacey and Terrel connected fall of 2020 and began their life together. Terrel stepped in seamlessly as a father figure to Maddie, Aubree and Blayke, introducing them to the ranch life.

In 2022, they moved to the old Hartman place a mile down the road from Shawn and Nancy. From starting their cattle herd together, getting their three beautiful daughters on horseback, and renovating their house, Terrel and Stacey were starting their lives together- and planning to grow old in this place they called home. Terrel and Stacey married privately with their daughters February 10th, 2023 in Colorado.

Terrel had many horses along the way but always had a main mount during each phase of his life. Terrel purchased Dose a few years ago as a roping prospect. Terrel and Dose left for greener pastures together -Terrel with his rope in hand.

2 months before Terrel and Stacey’s wedding reception celebration, we are gathering to lay Terrel to rest.

Those left to cherish Terrel’s memory include: his wife, Stacey Vineyard, daughters, Maddie, Aubree, and Blayke Jasnoch; parents, Shawn and Nancy Vineyard; sister Tori (Donny) Scantling; niece and nephew, Cedar and John Donald (JD) Scantling; in-laws Steve and Dawn Chudomelka, sister-in-law, Christina (Kuldeep) Kumar and niece Kaia Kumar; and countless friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Cob and Ruth Ann Vineyard, Bob and Elaine Moreland, aunt Sandra Channer, uncle Steve Moreland, and numerous friends of his who also left too soon.

Richard &nbsp;Loibl, 68, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died June 21, 2023 at his home in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born July 13, 1954 in Cozad, NE, son of Maximilian R. and Irene (Newman) Loibl.

Richard graduated with the Gothenburg class of 1973. Richard loved cars, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Joshua Loibl; life partner, Cindy McMinn of Gothenburg, NE; two sisters, Shirley (Hank) Schneider of Cozad, NE; Pat (Lane) Tederman of Lincoln, NE; two brothers, Rodger (Vicki) Loibl of Kearney, NE; Mike (Judea) Loibl of Culberson, NE; daughter, Melissa McMinn; two grandsons, Dominick Loibl, Jakoby Loibl; great-grandchildren, Liam Loibl, Brantley Loibl and Stella Loibl along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.&nbsp;

Robin Burnett, 62, of Brady, Nebraska, passed away on June 22, 2023 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.

Robin was born in Riverton, WY. &nbsp;He spent all 13 school years attending Brady Public Schools and graduated in 1979. The morning after he graduated he drove up and down the railroad tracks until he landed a job with the Union Pacific Railroad. &nbsp;His job with the railroad led him to several different locations. He worked for the UPRR for 24 years in the welding department.&nbsp;

Family was important to Robin, as were the people he shared his life with in his younger days. Home and the lake were his happy places, even if he didn't see you he talked about all his friends like it was yesterday. &nbsp;Anytime he could have a boat on the water he was full of life and laughter. &nbsp; He enjoyed decorating with old items that he would refurbish into amazing pieces. &nbsp;He loved Nebraska football and NFL football, especially the Denver Broncos. &nbsp;He also loved to garden. &nbsp;If you were part of Robin's life, and lived any part of it with him he would always remember stories in great detail with many laughs. He was also a die-hard John Wayne fan.&nbsp;

He is survived by his sister, Deborah Owens of Brady NE; niece, Rene' (Mark) Barner of Brady, NE; great niece, Madison Barner of Brady, NE and &nbsp;great niece, Dusk Sabin of Lincoln, NE. Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice (Nadine) Burnett and William Burnett, his sister Bobbie Brown, and his brother Robert King.&nbsp; Memorials may be given to Brady Fire Department. &nbsp; &nbsp; Helen Ruth Arnold was born in Denver, Colorado on April 21, 1932 to Edward L. and Helen (Buckley) Hancock. &nbsp;She attended school in Denver and graduated from Denver University. &nbsp;Helen put her education to work as a teacher, she dedicated her life to the students of McCook at North Ward Elementary until her retirement.

&nbsp; &nbsp; Helen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. &nbsp;She enjoyed painting, genealogy and her family.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Her parents preceded her in death.

Garrett J. Tvrs, 33, of Sidney passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 in Sidney.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Sidney E-Free Church with Pastors Kyle Larson and Bud Gillespie officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the Dalton Cemetery.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Garrett James Tvrs was born on December 16, 1989 in Sidney, Nebraska to Jeff and Kris (Craig) Tvrs. In Garrett’s younger years, he was involved in the Sidney Swim Team and Boy Scouts. You could find him hunting at the river with his sister Jami, toying with anything that would boom or pop, and raising havoc with friends that lasted his lifetime. He attended Sidney Public Schools, later graduating in 2008 from Leyton High School.

Shortly after high school, he became the family’s third generation entering the line trade.&nbsp; His late grandfather Tvrs worked for Hamin Electric, while he and his father have worked for Ward Electric Company. As a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), he enjoyed traveling for storm work and operating heavy equipment. He cherished the many friends he met through the trade.

In February of 2011, he was given the biggest blessing by becoming Emerson Grace’s father. She was the center of his world and his reason for living. He enjoyed teaching her to hunt, love the outdoors, and that the best food came from the Silver Dollar. Most recently, they bonded while driving his side-by-side.

He was “Uncle G” to many of his lifelong friends’ children and enjoyed teaching them their first words – which usually weren’t appropriate.&nbsp; As a kid at heart himself, he easily connected and encouraged them to live every day to its fullest. His close family and friends best describe Garrett as loyal, lucky, the life of the party, bluntly honest, ornery, selfless, persistent, and unapologetic. Ultimately, he wouldn’t take no for an answer and was always there, no questions asked. All who knew him, knew that he found solace and freedom on the open road while on his Harley. He found peace with specially curated music playlists and the wind in his beard.

In Garrett’s younger years, he was involved in the Sidney Swim Team and Boy Scouts. You could find him hunting at the river with his sister Jami, toying with anything that would boom or pop, and raising havoc with friends that lasted his lifetime. He attended Sidney Public Schools, later graduating in 2008 from Leyton High School.Shortly after high school, he became the family’s third generation entering the line trade.&nbsp; His late grandfather Tvrs worked for Hamin Electric, while he and his father have worked for Ward Electric Company. As a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), he enjoyed traveling for storm work and operating heavy equipment. He cherished the many friends he met through the trade.In February of 2011, he was given the biggest blessing by becoming Emerson Grace’s father. She was the center of his world and his reason for living. He enjoyed teaching her to hunt, love the outdoors, and that the best food came from the Silver Dollar. Most recently, they bonded while driving his side-by-side.He was “Uncle G” to many of his lifelong friends’ children and enjoyed teaching them their first words – which usually weren’t appropriate.&nbsp; As a kid at heart himself, he easily connected and encouraged them to live every day to its fullest. His close family and friends best describe Garrett as loyal, lucky, the life of the party, bluntly honest, ornery, selfless, persistent, and unapologetic. Ultimately, he wouldn’t take no for an answer and was always there, no questions asked. All who knew him, knew that he found solace and freedom on the open road while on his Harley. Harvey Duane Wilson of Cozad passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Kearney Regional Hospital at the age of 84. Harvey was born July 26, 1938 in Kansas to John and Nellie (Pentecost) Wilson. He married Phyllis Bickford on March 7, 1960. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Judy, Mary and Casey. They lived in Kearney and worked at the Turkey Plant in Gibbon, then moving to Gibbon to work on the Turkey Ranch. In 1970 they moved to Cozad where Harvey worked for over 30 years at Monroe Auto. Harvey loved to farm and raise hogs, ducks, geese, chickens, cows and turkeys. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt, play Keno and watch Husker football. He played basketball, slow pitch softball and loved to drink beer with “Old Red” the sow. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Phyllis; sisters, Bonnie, Margie, Josephine, Erma and Verna; brothers, Kenny, Jerome and Dennis. Survivors include his children, Judy Wilson of Cozad, Mary (Gaylord) Stauffer of Lincoln and Casey (Deanna) Wilson of Cozad; grandchildren, Tommy (Esther) Wilson, Jeff Stauffer, Christina Stauffer, Zachary (Abigail) Stauffer, Kayla Stauffer, Heather Wilson and Luke, Cody (Shelbie) Wilson, Jared Wilson and Kristen, Timmy Wilson; great grandchildren, Bentley Wilson, Elijah Ross and Faith Ross; brother, John (Arlene) Wilson; sister-in-law, Sue Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Harvey D. Wilson (1938-2023)

Barbara Alice (Pinkerton) Nootz, passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 90, in Grant, NE. She was born on March 26, 1933, in Loomis, NE, to Ray and Grace (Hatting) Pinkerton. Barb lived a full and rewarding life that was filled with generosity, service, and love. She had many friends, and she enjoyed meeting them daily at “coffee” during retirement.&nbsp; Family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Barb graduated from Loomis High School in 1951 and after teaching at a country school briefly, went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Kearney State Teacher's College (UNK) and her master’s in education administration from the University of Northern Colorado.&nbsp; After college, she taught in Holdrege schools, then moved to Ogallala where she met her beloved husband, Lyle.&nbsp; They were married June 20, 1965 and had 58 wonderful years together.&nbsp; During her career, she devoted 42 years of her life to the field of teaching, including work in the classroom and 11 years as a principal.&nbsp; Her love for teaching was evident in her work, and she especially loved teaching fourth grade.

Barb was a devoted member of the Global Methodist Church in Ogallala, NE. She was an active member of several organizations throughout her life including Extension club, AAUW, Guard auxiliary, UMW, Royal Neighbors, Ogallala Booster Club, and Moose Lodge. &nbsp;In her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Kenfield gallery.&nbsp; She was a wonderful cook and was often found baking or making food for others.&nbsp; She also enjoyed gardening (especially her roses), going to high school sports, and spending time with her grandkids.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Lyle Nootz, of Ogallala; her daughter Janelle (Joseph) Chakounis of Centennial CO; and her grandchildren Alexander and Sofia. &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Grace Pinkerton; and her brothers, James, Robert, and William Pinkerton.

The funeral service will be held at Draucker Funeral Home in Ogallala, NE on Monday, June 26, at 2 pm MT, officiated by Pastor Michael Loy, followed by a reception at the Kenfield gallery. The internment will take place at the Moses Hill Cemetery in Holdrege, NE, on Tuesday, June 27, at 1 pm CT officiated by Reverend Chuck Rager.

Harlan was born on April 11, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of William Charles and Wilhelmina (Hodge) Kepler. &nbsp;Harlan was married on December 21, 1957 in Omaha to Linda L. Rybin and together they had three children. &nbsp;Harlan spent his entire career as a telephone splicer with Northwestern Bell Telephone and its later subsidiaries until his retirement in 1993. &nbsp;He enjoyed camping with his family and especially loved lake fishing in Minnesota. &nbsp;
