Lori Ann Clinch, age 57, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away February 17, 2022 at home. She was born July 16, 1964 to Arthur and Patricia (Stubbs) McEntire in North Platte. Lori graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1982. She then graduated from Mid-Plains Community College with an LPN degree. Lori worked as a surgical nurse at Great Plains Health. Lori married Patrick Clinch on May 7, 1991 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Platte. Lori stayed at home and raised her sons while writing a column in the Telegraph. She also wrote two books. Lori was the bookkeeping end of the couple’s rental and construction business, Clinch Construction. They opened Grain Bin Antiques in 2014 where she took great pride in her work and customers. Family was the center of Lori’s life, she loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved antiques, taking walks in the canyons, her dogs and was a member of the DQ Girls. Survivors include husband Pat of North Platte; four sons, Jestin (Stephanie) Clinch of Kearney, Nebraska, Michael “Micki” Clinch of Fort Collins, Colorado, Joseph (Elizabeth Meister) Clinch of Denver, Colorado, and Cory Clinch of Fort Collins, Colorado; granddaughter, Berkley Clinch of Kearney, Nebraska; siblings, Misti (Michael Torres) McEntire of North Platte, Nebraska, Patti (Pat) Condon of North Platte, Nebraska; and numerous other family members and many friends. Bob Davidson, 89, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family in Overton. Bob was born in Rico, Colorado to Andrew and Nancy Davidson. He was the youngest of 6 children.&nbsp;&nbsp; In 1952, Bob joined the United States Marine Corp and served during the Korean War. He shared dozens of stories about his service and his beloved Marine Corp. If you wanted to see him light up, just ask him about being a Marine.&nbsp; He was especially proud of receiving a peace medal during a special ceremony at the capitol building in Denver, Colorado in 2016.&nbsp;&nbsp; After being honorably discharged from the Marines, Bob married Gayle Rodgers on July 18, 1955, in Coeur d'Alene Idaho.&nbsp; They made their home in Holden, Washington where Bob worked as a miner for the Howe Sound Mining Company. There they had three children: two daughters Gwen and Dawn and a son, Bobby, who died at birth.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob’s passion was fly fishing and he spent many hours traipsing up and down the Big Thompson River in Colorado – often with his daughters, and dog, in tow.&nbsp; Every year he took his family to Mexico for scuba diving and boating.&nbsp; Many summer weekends were spent on a boat, either fishing, skiing or parasailing.&nbsp; After the mine closed, Bob moved his family to Denver, Colorado where he took schooling to become a television technician. They lived in the Denver area but also Lafayette and Louisville, CO where he owned his own repair shops.&nbsp; They relocated to Brighton, CO where they opened a restaurant of their own. Later, Bob and Gayle moved to Branson, MO where dad found a love for musical theatre and would go often.&nbsp; In 2017, Bob and Gayle moved to Nebraska to be closer to their oldest daughter Gwen. She chose a home in Overton for them, and the last few years they have been surrounded by a wonderful community and Bob looked forward to attending First Christian Church every Sunday.

Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gayle, two daughters Gwen Kautz (Duane) of rural Overton NE and Dawn Davidson (John Price) of St. Louis MO; 4 granddaughters, Mandie (Tim) McBride of Keenseburg, CO, Tracie Gallegos (Jason Urquhart) Evergreen, CO, Mystie (Chris) Bartlett, Grand Island NE and Deryn Walls, Longmont, CO. He also has a step-granddaughter, Shaylee (Tanner) Miller of Holyoke, CO. He and Gayle have 10 great grandchildren.&nbsp; Bob loved being surrounded by “his girls.”&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob was preceded in death by his brothers and one sister, Allen, Andy, Arrie, Arville, and Ann.&nbsp;

It was Bob’s wish not to have any funeral services. Bob Davidson (1932-2022)

&nbsp;Jerry Dean Shackelford, of Trenton, passed away at home on February 14, 2022 at the age of 62. &nbsp;Jerry was born in McCook, Nebraska on August 15, 1959, to Virgil Dean and Wyona (Matson) Shackelford. &nbsp;&nbsp;He graduated from Trenton High School in 1977 and from North Platte Community College, where he studied automotive body and fender repair.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jerry followed the call of the Holy Spirit and moved to Beverly, Kentucky to work at the Red Bird Mission for three years. The Mission was established&nbsp;to help families in southeastern Kentucky with health care needs and spiritual guidance. &nbsp;He returned to Trenton and opened his own autobody repair shop. He also taught autobody repair classes part-time at North Platte Community College. Jerry and his mother took the EMT course together and served on the Trenton Rescue Squad. He was community minded, serving on the board&nbsp;of the United Methodist Church and acting as security for the pastor at the church on occasion. He earned a black belt in Taekwondo and was a member of the NRA. &nbsp;Jerry was an outdoorsman&nbsp;and enjoyed hunting deer. &nbsp;His Rottweiler, Dolly, who he enjoyed spending time with, will miss him dearly.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Richard was born May 22, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, to Samuel Roland and Virginia Bessie (Williams) Robinson. Richard graduated from high school at Torrington, WY, before entering the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge, Richard worked primarily as a truck driver, eventually coming to owning his own truck. He logged countless miles over the years. Chuck grew up in Denver, after graduating from high school he served in the U.S. Army.&nbsp; He was united in marriage to Emma Cawthra in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. To this union two children were born: Patty and Charles.&nbsp; The family moved to North Platte, where Chuck worked as an auto mechanic for Joe Dye Ford for 30-plus years and then at Ellett’s Automotive for another five years before retiring.&nbsp; You could always find Chuck in his garage working on some type of vehicle.&nbsp; He loved to tinker on anything to make it go faster, especially his lawn mowers, his favorite pastime was racing lawn mowers.&nbsp; He enjoyed attending his granddaughter's events through her school years and spending time with his great-grandson and his family. &nbsp;He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.

Arthur "Chuck" C. Moon (1939-2022)

Micheal James Ryan Sr. of Cozad Ne. died February 12, 2022 at UNMC in Omaha NE, surrounded by his children.&nbsp;&nbsp; Micheal, Mike if you knew him was born August 29, 1957 in Framingham, MA to Fredrick and Lily Ryan. Mike and his dad Fred ran a variety store called Ryan’s Variety in Wrentham, MA, for many years.&nbsp; &nbsp;Mike had a restaurant in the back of the store where he enjoyed cooking for the customers. It was there where Mike created his famous sandwich he called the “wing ding.”&nbsp; Mike started to raise a family and later moved to Cape Cod, MA. On the Cape, he began a career in carpentry, installing cabinets and countertops.&nbsp; Whether it was a river, lake, or his favorite - the Atlantic Ocean Mike found peace by the water.&nbsp; Mike was always there no matter who you were, ready to listen and share a piece of advice and a few wise words.&nbsp; Family dinners were what he looked forward to most.&nbsp; He loved to listen to his children and grandkids talk, laugh and he even got a kick out of their occasional arguments.&nbsp; He was best known for and will be remembered as loving the simple things in life like dad jokes, loud music, and long drives going nowhere.&nbsp; Mike always said “there was nothing like a good grilled burger.”

Mike is survived by his children, Tiffani Ryan (Chip Munson) of Overton NE, Michelle Ryan of Gothenburg NE, Micheal Ryan Jr. (Shelly) of Winsted MI, Timothy Ryan of Cozad NE, Kaitlyn Ryan of Lincoln NE, Cassidy Ryan of Lincoln NE; his grandchildren, Georgina Dishman, Micheal Ryan III, Ryan Munson, and Mathew Munson; along with his siblings and many nephews and nieces. Mike was proceeded in death by his father Fredrick Ryan, mother Lily Wing, and his brother Keith Ryan.

Micheal James Ryan Sr. of Cozad Ne. died February 12, 2022 at UNMC in Omaha NE, surrounded by his children.&nbsp;&nbsp; Micheal, Mike if you knew him was born August 29, 1957 in Framingham, MA to Fredrick and Lily Ryan. Mike and his dad Fred ran a variety store called Ryan’s Variety in Wrentham, MA, for many years.&nbsp; &nbsp;Mike had a restaurant in the back of the store where he enjoyed cooking for the customers. It was there where Mike created his famous sandwich he called the “wing ding.”&nbsp; Mike started to raise a family and later moved to Cape Cod, MA. Edward Anton Warta was born May 26, 1929, on a farm about three miles North of Sumner, NE to Ben and Emma Warta. Being the youngest of ten children. Most of his schooling was in a small one room schoolhouse about three miles West of the farm, District 36 Lower Park Valley. In his early years Edward farmed and worked for his neighbors, later he went to work in the hay mills, and when they closed down, he went to work for Paulson Construction of Cozad, NE. Edward was the past chairman of the Heart and Cancer Fund drives, a former Boy Scout Leader, and was a member of the Baptist Church since 1949. It is now the United Church of Sumner. He attended a large area of auctions, given a permanent number to bid with. His most common number was #6 or #36. On October 9, 1950, he joined the National Guard Company B-195 Tank Battalion and was discharged January 25, 1954. When he left the farm he moved to Miller, NE.

Edward is survived by his children: David Warta of Elkhorn, Eddie Warta, Jr. of Oconto, Danny (Susan) Warta of Colorado Springs, CO, Carol Warta of Kearney, and James (Lora) Warta of Bertrand, 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Emma, a son William, a grandchild, and his nine brothers and sisters.

Robert Dean (Bob) Petrick of Grand Island passed peacefully away at home on February 14, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.&nbsp; Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Richard Piontkowski officiating.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow at the Ansley Cemetery. Bob was born in Broken Bow, NE on July 9, 1949, to Bernard and Dorothy Lewis Petrick.&nbsp;&nbsp; He grew up on the family farm at Ansley and attended Algernon school from kindergarten through fifth grade and then attended school in Ansley, graduating in 1967.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob moved to Grand Island and attended Grand Island School of Business, getting his Associates Degree in Business.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was drafted into the Army in 1969 and completed basic training in Fort Lewis, WA.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was medically discharged after his basic training.&nbsp;&nbsp; He moved to Lincoln and attended the University of Nebraska and worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads.&nbsp; Bob was united in marriage to Susan Annette Woodward on July 18, 1970.&nbsp; They lived in Ansley, where he farmed.&nbsp; Two sons were born to this union, Travis James and Brent William.&nbsp; Bob quit farming in 1997 and went to work for Ace Irrigation in Kearney and worked there until 2003 when he became a Territory Salesman for Waterman Industries traveling several US states and 3 providences of Canada.&nbsp; In April of 2007, he became a Territory Sales Manager for Hutchinson/Mayrath, NECO and in January 2020 he went to work as a Salesman for General Collection and worked there until he was forced to retire due to his health.&nbsp; He married Judy (Prindle) Price on March 6, 2004, and with this union also acquired four bonus children, Nicole, John, Keisha, and Josh.&nbsp; They made their home in Grand Island where they were blessed to be within a couple of hours of all the kids and grandkids.&nbsp; Bob was a past Ansley School Board Member from 1990 to 1998, a Four States Irrigation Board Member from 2002 to 2004, Commander of the Ansley American Legion Post 153 and also a past member of the Ansley Rural Fire Department.&nbsp; &nbsp;He was a current member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Grand Island Saddle Club.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob enjoyed being outside, working in his yard, socializing with neighbors, friends, and family over a cold beer, playing pranks on family and friends, getting dressed up, traveling, and following the grandkids wide variety of activities.&nbsp;&nbsp; Bob never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation everywhere he went.&nbsp;

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Grand Island, son Travis (Shannon) and their children, Keegan, and Allie of Hildreth, Brent (Joyce) and their children, Otto and Ward of Ansley.&nbsp; Judy’s children, Nicole Schmidt (Mike Bolin) and her children Maliyah and Grayson, of Omaha, John (Kassy) Price and their children, Hailey, Elliott and Skylar of Grand Island, Keisha (Bill) Coufal and their children, Brooklyn, Madilynn, Zella, Jeter and Bronx of Olathe, KS, and Josh (Maggie) Price of Omaha.&nbsp;&nbsp; Sister and brother-in-law, Bev and Myron Reynolds of Broken Bow, Sister-in-law, Judy Petrick of Plainwell, MI and Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and John Hicks of Zag, ND.&nbsp; Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Dorothy, his first wife Susan, brother Richard (Dick) Petrick, sister Judy Brown, brother-in-law, Carl Schroeder, brother-in-law, Jerry Allen, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ardith and Melvin Reineke.

Bob Petrick (1949-2022)

Roy Woldt of Cozad passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Central Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney at the age of 82. Roy was born October 1, 1939 in Wisner, Nebraska to Herman and Elma (Field) Woldt. He grew up on a farm until the age of 10 when they moved to Pilger, Nebraska. Roy graduated from Pilger High School with the class of 1957. He entered the U.S. Navy on July 8, 1957 at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged in 1960. Following the service, he moved to Oakland, Nebraska where he worked at the local tire shop. On September 12, 1964, Roy married Gloria Mae Vahle at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pilger, Nebraska. In 1968 he started at the O.A. Cooper Co. in South Sioux City, Nebraska, transferred to Mustang, Oklahoma and then to Cozad in 1975. In 1996, he went to work at Horizon Ag in Gothenburg and was there until his retirement in 2007. Roy moved to the Central Nebraska Veterans Home in 2020, where he got to enjoy visiting with other service members, cheering on the Huskers and giving the nurses a hard time. He was a member of the VFW Posts in Wisner and Cozad as well as a long time member of Cozad Elks Lodge. Roy will be dearly missed by his family and remembered with love. 

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Woldt; sisters, Darlene Olsen and Alice Quick. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria Woldt of Cozad; son Brian Woldt of Cozad and daughter Brenda (Rod) Sheets of Elwood; grandsons, Mitchell (Alysia) Sheets of Bartley, Brandon (Audrie) Woldt of Minden, Rylee Woldt of Cozad; granddaughter, Miranda (Jeff) Pickinpaugh of Eustis; great grandchildren, Broghan and Griffin Sheets of Bartley, Saylor and Dutson Pickinpaugh of Eustis and Callan Woldt of Minden; sister Mary Lueshen of West Point, NE; brother-in-law, Don Olsen of Omaha; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Roy Woldt (1939-2022)

John William Lewis was born July 27, 1936, on a farm in Hitchcock County south of Hamlet, Nebraska, to Isaac Elmer and Leretta Stella (Bush) Lewis. John grew up farming and attended school at Hilltop School north of Wauneta and high school in Wauneta, NE. John was baptized in the Methodist Church in Wauneta on April 10, 1955. He served his country by serving in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged November 23, 1958. On June 23, 1963, John was united in marriage to Frances Kay Harris at Blanche Church in northeastern Chase County, NE. The couple resided in Wauneta for one year while John drove a semi for a feedlot before moving to the farm north of Wauneta where they both lived until John passed away. John and Frances had two children, Connie Sue Lewis and Lonnie Ray Lewis. John was born to farm. His family remembered him, even as a child and teenager, as always being in the field. Even as his health failed him, he reduced the number of acres he farmed, but he never completely gave up farming. They also raised cattle, and briefly raised hogs. John had served on the Co-Op Board; and spent 11 years as a Chase County Commissioner serving the county and participating in area boards. He was known to help friends and neighbors farming, sorting cattle, building fence, fixing equipment, hauling grain, and dispensing good advice.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Glen Lewis, and Kenneth Lewis; sisters: Lorene Greeley, Vera Remington, Reva Wicke, Nadene Brass; parents-in-law: Clyde “Spud” and Amy Harris; brothers-in-law: Worth Kanost, Paul Greeley, Dick Remington, Victor Wicke, and Lawrence Hogsett. John passed away Monday morning, February 14, 2022, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. John was 85 years. John’s survivors include his wife Frances, children Connie Lewis, Lonnie Lewis and wife Mary; four grandchildren: Sable Manske and husband Chris, Megan Fletcher, Eric Lewis, Mia Lewis; two great-grandchildren: Liam Fletcher and Griffin Fletcher; sister, Lois Kanost; brothers: Lloyd Lewis and wife Doris, James Lewis and wife Charlene; sisters-in-law: Barb Hogsett, Berniece Lewis, and JoAnne Lewis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John passed away Monday morning, February 14, 2022, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. John was 85 years. John’s survivors include his wife Frances, children Connie Lewis, Lonnie Lewis and wife Mary; four grandchildren: Sable Manske and husband Chris, Megan Fletcher, Eric Lewis, Mia Lewis; two great-grandchildren: Liam Fletcher and Griffin Fletcher; sister, Lois Kanost; brothers: Lloyd Lewis and wife Doris, James Lewis and wife Charlene; sisters-in-law: Barb Hogsett, Berniece Lewis, and JoAnne Lewis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Laurence Wayne Larsen passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at his home in Cozad at the age of 69. Wayne was born January 8, 1953 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Keith and Betty (Shuey) Larsen. He grew up in Grant, Nebraska on the family farm and graduated from Grant High School. His first marriage was to Debra Bank in 1971, their union was blessed with two children, Chad and Amanda. On December 18, 1976, Wayne married Robin Sutherland in Grant, Nebraska. This union joined the two families as Robin had a son, Pete, from a previous union as well. The couple were blessed with four more children, Anthony, Kileen, Crystal and Courtonie. The family moved from Grant to Kansas and then to Benkelman, Nebraska where Wayne worked for Reichert Ranch. In May of 2000, they moved to Cozad where Wayne worked for Boerkirchers Furniture until 2007. In 2009 he began working for Colorado Biolabs where he worked until retirement. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He adored his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Wayne was a member of The Fellowship Crossing in Gothenburg, current member and PER of the Cozad Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Keith; sister, Connie Taylor; his in-laws, John and Lylia Sutherland; and brother-in-law Joseph Sutherland. Donald Max “Don” Andersen of Cozad, Nebraska passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Meadowlark Pointe Assisted Living, surrounded by family, and aged 97 years, 5 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days.&nbsp; Don was born on August 21, 1924 and was the youngest of eight children to Anders Emmanuel and Ella (Anderson) Andersen.&nbsp; Imagine the changes he observed from 1924 to 2022. At around age six, his family moved from Cozad to a farm north of Darr, Nebraska.&nbsp; In his teen years, he boxed with the Golden Gloves of America and once competed in Omaha.&nbsp; He graduated from Cozad High School in 1942 and was always proud to show his signed diploma to anyone who asked.&nbsp;&nbsp; Don married his sweetheart and love of his life, Wilma Louise Wells, on October 13, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, and they spent 70 wonderful years together.&nbsp; He was a dapper gentleman.&nbsp; In Don and Wilma’s courting days, they enjoyed attending dances and picture shows, and often would stop at the Lexington bakery to get the first donuts of the morning.&nbsp; The home they lived in for most of their married life started out as a repurposed sugar beet shack on the Darr farm.&nbsp; Don and Wilma were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Cozad for many decades.&nbsp; They welcomed daughter Patty in 1951 and daughter Sue in 1955 (also lovingly nicknamed Pete and Clem).&nbsp; Don built Patty a playhouse, a tree house, and a tree swing.&nbsp; Many hours were spent enjoying her daddy’s best gifts.&nbsp; He was a good sport for playing beauty shop with Patty, and as far as she was concerned, he was the best daddy in the world.&nbsp; Sue enjoyed working outdoors and became Don’s “hired man.”&nbsp; Together, they would irrigate, they built the little red barn, and they enjoyed many games of ping pong in the patio. The couple enjoyed playing pinochle with neighbors and traveling throughout the United States, including Hawaii.&nbsp; Don loved to entertain his many nieces and nephews by taking them on donkey cart rides in a cart he built himself, snow-saucering through the fields behind a pickup truck, and with his menagerie of farm animals who lived in and near the little red barn, including goats Billy and Jimmy, milk cows, pigs, donkeys, chickens, geese named Hiss and Piss, ducks, dogs, cats, and peacocks.&nbsp; His favorite dogs included Tippy, Pete and Re-Pete, Pugsy, Sandy, Chrissy, and Milo.&nbsp; The love of growing plants and livestock was in Don’s blood.&nbsp; He got his first Holstein heifer while in high school, and that was the start of his milking career.&nbsp; For many years, Don would milk twelve or more cows twice daily by hand.&nbsp; He primarily raised corn, alfalfa, and sugar beet crops until the 1980s.&nbsp; During retirement, he continued to grow bumper crops of cucumbers and tomatoes in his garden.&nbsp; He also devoted time to building a playhouse for granddaughter Amy and other primitive wood crafts in his shop.&nbsp; Grandson Scott loved spending time in the “machine shed” his grandpa made which held all of the Tonka machinery he had given him.&nbsp; Scott caught the woodworking bug from his grandpa. In 2016, Don and Wilma moved to Meadowlark Pointe Assisted Living. He made quick friends with the nursing staff at “The Nest” and had a kiss for everyone - chocolate or otherwise.&nbsp; He often brewed coffee as early as 4:00 AM and would invite staff for conversation and an early morning cup.&nbsp;&nbsp; Don was known for using nonsensical phrases like “terrible good” and “whoop-di-doo.” He was always asking people to “tell me something.”&nbsp; He referred to everyone younger than himself as “kid,” which was everyone.&nbsp; He loved to sing and would break into song whenever the spirit struck him.&nbsp; His repertoire included such hits as You Are My Sunshine, The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down, Release Me, a rousing chorus of Amen, and the national anthem.&nbsp; Don loved a simple piece of Danish family-recipe rye bread with butter - in recent years baked by his granddaughter-in-law Kazi.&nbsp; He enjoyed cheesy puff balls, onion rings, black jelly beans, and the occasional extra dirty martini.&nbsp; He loved to regale others with a catalog of useless information that he had read or heard and was fond of opening presents of any kind.&nbsp; Don was a member of the Elk’s Club and a lifelong Mason.&nbsp; He was recently recognized for being the oldest living Mason in the state of Nebraska.&nbsp; While Don could be considered ornery at times, he will be remembered for his kind smile, fierce sense of humor, and devotion to his family.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church with Don’s dear friend Rev. Jill Boyd officiating. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home. Mark Edward Pandorf, 68, of Callaway, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Mark was born May 3, 1953, in Callaway to Francis “Punch” and Mary Jane (Griffith) Pandorf.&nbsp; He was raised in Callaway, attended school there, and graduated with the Class of 1971. He then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity and received a Business degree in 1975. After college, Mark moved back home to help his dad with farming, ranching and the feedlot. On February 26, 1977, he married Diane Kimball at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway. They made their home in Callaway where five children were blessed to this union: Marcus, Lori, Linsey, Kelli and Traci. Faith, Family and Cattle were the most important things in Mark’s life. He absolutely loved the Feedlot – it was his passion. He loved taking drives to look at the cattle and “check the grass and water.” He would often take his grandchildren for rides in the feed truck to feed cattle and there were always adventures during calving season. He also loved horses and taught his children and grandchildren how to ride and enjoyed taking them on trail rides. The pride that he had for his children and grandchildren could be heard through his loud clapping and seen through the smile on his face at all of their activities. He was their biggest and best fan. Sundays were the best days meant for church, giving countless boat rides, and relaxing in the sun among family and friends at Lake Maloney in North Platte. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by those he loved. He was also a life-long member of the Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway, the Knights of Columbus, and the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association.

Mark is survived by his wife, Diane, of Callaway; his son, Marcus (Shelley) Pandorf of Callaway; his daughters: Lori Pandorf of Callaway, Linsey (Heath) Johnson of Lexington, Kelli (Adam) Reid of Ozark, Missouri, and Traci (Bryson) Kennedy of Callaway; 13 grandchildren: Kira, Jessie, Tesa, Erin, Olivia, Spencer, Lauryn, Harper, Kolby, Taylor, Ashlyn, Ruby and Edie; and one great-grandchild, Sawyer; his mother, Mary Jane Pandorf of Callaway; five brothers: Mike (Joann) Pandorf of Callaway, Thomas Pandorf of Bennett, Colorado, &nbsp;Donald (Molly) Pandorf, Kenneth Pandorf, and Steven (Rhonda) Pandorf, all of Callaway; two sisters: Marie Young of Mullen, Nebraska, and Barbara (John) Reinhardt of Berthoud, Colorado; mother-in-law, Reta Kimball of North Platte and brother-in-law, Tom (Sue) Kimball of Grant, and Edwin (Bonnie) Kimball of Sioux City, Iowa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, “Punch,” and a brother-in-law, Doug Young.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway with Father Thomas Gudipalli and Father Matt Koperski, officiating.&nbsp; The Mass will be live-streamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page. Saul Vasquez Revolorio, 60, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island. He was born on August 21, 1961 in Nueva Concepcion, Escuintla, Guatemala to Pedro and Reginalda (Revolorio) Vasquez. Saul moved to California in 1993 from Guatemala, where he worked for a Landscaping Company and at a Scrap Metal Yard.&nbsp; While living in California, Saul had a son, Marvin.&nbsp; In 1996, they moved to Lexington, Nebraska where he stared working at Tyson in processing.&nbsp; Saul loved listening to music, especially Spanish oldies.&nbsp; He always kept a beautiful yard and garden.&nbsp; He was intelligent and was always reading, learning more about history.&nbsp; Also, in his younger years Saul enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his son, Marvin Vasquez of Lexington. Saul was preceded in death by his parents.

Douglas Dwight Neal, 72, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away at his home February 14, 2022.&nbsp; He was born January 18, 1950, to Archie E and Cleo F. (Paxton) Neal in North Platte.&nbsp; Doug graduated from McPherson County High School with the class of 1968. &nbsp;He entered the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the Vietnam War.&nbsp; After his discharge from the Army, he returned home to the family ranch, then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and Nebraska Public Power District for a short time.&nbsp; Then he moved to Montana where he worked as a guide with his brother.&nbsp; In 1995, he moved back to North Platte and worked at the North Platte Senior Center and was a very efficient worker.&nbsp; Doug attended North Platte Community College and achieved a certificate in electronics.&nbsp; He was a member of AA, he always had a fondness for dogs, enjoyed the outdoors and traveling.&nbsp; Doug will always be remembered as a free spirit.

On January 24, 1976, he was united in marriage to Maureen Finn in Greeley, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Amanda, Michael, and Matthew.&nbsp; Jim was a farmer and rancher in Scotia most of his life. Back in the day, he played for the Horace softball team and later he played church league in North Loup. You could always find him at Happy Jacks playing 21 with the good ole boys.&nbsp; He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and collecting guns. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed dearly.&nbsp;

Jim Korth (1954-2022)

Gene Libal of Lexington, Nebraska departed us Thursday, February 10th, 2022 at Gothenburg Health. Gene was 75 years old. Unfortunately, complications of cancer and heart conditions attributed to him succumbing to his greater resting place. Born December 30th, 1946, in Lexington, Nebraska to Wilson and Berenice Libal, Gene was the second of four children. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. He later went on to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where he earned the honor of becoming a member of the AGR fraternity, graduating in 1970. Gene was an All-American wrestler at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He wrestled in many Greco Roman and Free Style tournaments. He even went on to wrestle at the Pan Am Games. He helped his kids and many others learn how to wrestle for many years. He taught Vocational Ag in Battle Creek and Minden, Nebraska and then started farming and ranching with his dad Wilson. Later he worked at IBP, Fairbanks International and continued his career putting up silage. He also worked at many other farm operations for friends and enjoyed retirement but never kept idle. If Gene didn’t drive all the way around Dawson County, it was a bad day. Gene was married to Kathy Benjamin Libal March 1st, 1980 and they were married for 30 years. &nbsp;During that time, they conceived four children: Shelby, Jason, Joe and Erin. Gene was a lifetime member of the Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church. His faith was strong and helped him throughout his life. In his later years Gene enjoyed being a church handyman and performed many Sunday services. Gene was an instructor for the Dawson County Tractor Safety Course for many years. Gene was a 4H member of Hillside Sparkplugs.&nbsp; He installed the love of animals and agriculture in many kids from an early age. Gene was known for his love of food and his prowess of barbequing. He competed and won many contests. He catered many parties and loved to cut Prime Rib at the Cozad Elks Lodge #2250 where he was a member and prior Trustee. He loved to share his techniques and cook for his “boys” at his annual Christmas Party. Gene was honored by the ESU 10 in Kearney Nebraska for 25 years of service. Gene loved to help others in many ways - close friends and even others that he had just met.&nbsp; Gene’s upbeat attitude and great sense of humor made an impression on everyone he met.&nbsp; Gene loved to go to auctions. He loved to collect guns and was always looking for a deal deal. He was Gene to most, Geneo to the others, and Papi to his kids. Gene was a great father and never met a stranger. Gene was a cancer survivor and very proud of it.&nbsp; He loved everyone that helped take care of him, when he was in the hospital or recovering at home.&nbsp; He will be so missed.

Gene A. Libal (1946-2022)

Delynn Rae (Clark) Cain, 63, of North Platte, passed away at her home on Feb. 4, 2022. Delynn was born on Jan. 16, 1959, in Alliance, to Dell and Karen Clark of Alliance. She attended kindergarten in Alliance before moving to Lexington with her family and later returned to Alliance, where she graduated from Alliance High School in 1977. She attended Chadron State College where she met the love of her life, Rodney Gene Cain. Delynn and Rodney were married at the First Christian Church in Alliance on June 8, 1979. They joined Rodney's parents at their North Platte western wear business in 1980, where they worked until the business was sold in 1999. Three children were born to this union: Jesse, Jace and Crista. They raised their children in North Platte. Delynn and Rodney were able to spend 42 wonderful years together. Delynn was blessed to be able to spend her time watching her kids play sports. She was a member of the Little League Baseball board and Platte Valley Girls softball board. She kept score at many baseball and softball games. She was able to coach many of her daughter's sports. Traveling to watch her kids at baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and tennis tournaments gave her joy. She loved spending time with her grandsons: Jax, Brayden, Rogan and Callum. It was always Delynn's passion to be a nurse and she was able to go back to school and graduate as an RN alongside their son Jace in 2010. She earned her BSN in 2017 from UNMC. She spent 10 years as an RN and spent her last few years traveling as a labor and delivery nurse, where she met so many wonderful people. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Gene and Marianna Cain. Delynn is survived by her parents, Dell and Karen Clark of Alliance; husband, Rodney of Lincoln; sons, Jesse (Elizabeth) Cain of Lincoln and their sons, Rogan and Callum, and Jace (Sussan) Cain of Corpus Christi, Texas, and their sons, Jax and Brayden; daughter, Crista (Colbin Beals) Cain of Hazel Park, Michigan; her brothers, JR (Julie) Clark of Wellfleet and their children Wyatt , Jaden and Madison, Doug Clark of Denver and Jake (Kerin) Clark and their children, Kadra and Kyler of Yoder, Wyoming; and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She kept score at many baseball and softball games. She was able to coach many of her daughter's sports. Traveling to watch her kids at baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and tennis tournaments gave her joy. She loved spending time with her grandsons: Jax, Brayden, Rogan and Callum. It was always Delynn's passion to be a nurse and she was able to go back to school and graduate as an RN alongside their son Jace in 2010. She earned her BSN in 2017 from UNMC. She spent 10 years as an RN and spent her last few years traveling as a labor and delivery nurse, where she met so many wonderful people. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Gene and Marianna Cain. Delynn is survived by her parents, Dell and Karen Clark of Alliance; husband, Rodney of Lincoln; sons, Jesse (Elizabeth) Cain of Lincoln and their sons, Rogan and Callum, and Jace (Sussan) Cain of Corpus Christi, Texas, and their sons, Jax and Brayden; daughter, Crista (Colbin Beals) Cain of Hazel Park, Michigan; her brothers, JR (Julie) Clark of Wellfleet and their children Wyatt , Jaden and Madison, Doug Clark of Denver and Jake (Kerin) Clark and their children, Kadra and Kyler of Yoder, Wyoming; and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Maria Valtierra Montesinos, 92, of Lexington passed away at her home Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Lexington. Katherine Eileen Moore, 89, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington, Nebraska. Eileen entered this world on December 4, 1932, in Callaway, Nebraska, the eldest of two daughters born to Albert and Claryce (Jay) Norbeck. She attended public schools in Callaway and later received her G.E.D. in 1998. On April 28, 1949, she married Darrel Moore in Norton, Kansas. Seven children were born to this union. Eileen spent most of her family life in Eddyville, Nebraska, as a homemaker, which included sewing, canning vegetables from her garden, teaching Bible School and Awanas. She was part of the Eddyville Circle and the Eddyville Extension Club. Special coffee time was spent almost daily with her Eddyville friends. After moving to Lexington in 2006, Eileen enjoyed having “her special spot” at the Grand Generation Center for lunch and loved playing Bingo there, too. It was very important to her that she attend church every Sunday at the Methodist church.

Eileen is survived by her son, Charles Moore of Axtell; three daughters, Linda (Bob) Kroon of Longmont, Colorado, Pamela (Ron) Stryker of Eddyville, and Teresa (Ralph) Dunaway of Cozad, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a nephew, Donnie Miller of Hastings, Nebraska; and a cousin, Bonnie Bonczynski of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrel; son, Jimmy Moore; daughter, Diana Evans; infant son, Richard Moore; and sister, Clareen (Charles) Hall.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 14, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska, with Pastor Nathan Rhea, officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., prior to the service on Monday, February 14. Interment will be in the Sumner Cemetery at Sumner. Annie Ellen Brooks of Yuma, Arizona past away Monday, February 7, 2022 after a long battle with COPD. She was born Annie Barnette on June 27, 1947 in Warsaw, North Carolina. She had been the loving wife of David Brooks for 56 years, including the first 23 years as a Navy spouse. Annie found great joy in being a loving home maker, mother and grandmother. She loved to entertain friends, family and always had another seat available at her table for one more. She loved baking and teaching others to cook her family recipes. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course, in the casino or playing poker with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter Jo Shannon, her son Shane, Mother, Zilpha Eliza Eason Barnette, and her father, Joe Raymond Barnette. Surviving family members include her husband David, daughter Becky (Mark) Vilums, grandson Luke and granddaughter Lydia.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Gahn officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Berryman Funeral Home prior to the service.

Donald J. Tuma, Jr., 68 of rural Lexington died unexpectedly Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home. He was born August 1, 1953 in San Diego, California to Bonnie (Scott) Tuma. The family moved to Lexington and then to Lincoln in 1959. He graduated from Lincoln North East High School in 1971. Don worked at a hydraulic cylinder plant in Lincoln as well as a mechanic in Tecumseh. He then moved to Lexington where he was a machinist at Sperry New Holland.&nbsp; He later moved to Columbus where he was employed as a machinist at Scott Electronics. He then moved to Kansas City where he was a truck driver. In 1988, he returned to Lexington where he was employed at Shotkoski Hay Co. and then worked for Co-Op Non Stock, later Country Partners, where he “retired” in August of 2019. He continued to help both of them in their respective busy seasons.

Don is survived by his father, Donald, of Lexington; one son, Matthew, and his wife, Shawnda, of Ozark, Missouri; two daughters, Stephanie and her husband Greg of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Rachel and her husband Joe McCarty of Piedmont, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jolean, Mitchell, Jocelyn, Jayden, Joseph, Maci, Daniel, Addison, and Rylee; one brother, Mike and his wife Evelyn Tuma of Lincoln; one sister, Cathy and husband Max Reynolds of Lexington; and a nephew, Jake Tuma.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie.

Pete Meints, age 73, of McCook, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska.&nbsp; He was born Raymond Paul Meints on November 8, 1948 to Paul and Wilma (Handle) Meints in Stratton, Nebraska.&nbsp; His grandmother gave him the nickname “Pete” as a young boy and the name stuck. Pete grew up near Palisade, Nebraska and graduated from high school in Wauneta, Nebraska with the class of 1967.&nbsp; Shortly after graduation, Pete joined the United States Navy.&nbsp; He served his country honorably until his separation in October of 1971.&nbsp; Pete was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his service. Pete returned to southwest Nebraska where he worked at area Ford dealerships in McCook and Imperial, Nebraska.&nbsp; He also worked for Western Diesel and for Great Guns in the oil fields.&nbsp; In 1995, Pete purchased the garage on B Street in McCook where he opened Pete’s Garage.&nbsp; Pete married Geraldine Brown on July 10, 1993.&nbsp; The couple made McCook their home where they managed their own businesses, cared for a large garden, and rescued cats.&nbsp; Pete was a longtime member of American Legion Post #304 in Wauneta.&nbsp; He was a founding member of the Prairie Dawgs Car Club where he organized their first Rod Run.&nbsp; He was also a member of Southwest Nebraska Antique and Rod Club.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Brown-Meints of McCook; son, Chris Meints of Valparaiso, Indiana; granddaughters, Samantha (Mike) Buhler of Boston, Massachusetts and Shelby (Mitch) Hooper of Salcha, Alaska; and great-grandson, Henry Buhler.

Steve was born October 20, 1946, at Ogallala, Nebraska, to Leslie and Ruby (Kenfield) Edwards. Steve's childhood was a blessed one, as he collected wonderful memories alongside his best friend and neighbor, Vic Faesser. From riding bikes, jumping from the Faesser basement house roof, to cruising around in Steve's Chevy Monza, their friendship would span nearly 70 years. Steve graduated from Ogallala High School with the class of 1965 and subsequently attended Chadron State to earn his teaching certificate. Steve spent a year teaching at a country school near Keystone and came to the realization that teaching wasn't his calling. The Edwards side of the family had primarily been in law enforcement, and so, perhaps inspired by his lineage, Steve would become a court bailiff, serving primarily in Lancaster County. Steve would eventually move home to Ogallala to care for his mother, returning to the same house he was raised in. He and Ruby enjoyed taking walks, admiring the flower gardens, and soaking in the other sites. Steve enjoyed collecting old law enforcement badges and amassed quite a collection. He shared the hobby with some good friends over the years, discussing their good finds and locating their next ones. In recent years, Steve lived a very quiet life and much preferred it that way. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, along with many aunts and uncles on both sides. Survivors include his uncles, Howard and Harvey Kenfield, both of Ogallala, along with many cousins, friends, and caregivers that helped Steve on the final leg of his journey. Services will be on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala, with Rev. Chuck Rager officiating. Interment will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Steve Edwards (1946-2022)

RALPH "STAN" FECHT SR. 82, of Lemoyne, passed away February 9, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Stan was born January 6, 1940, at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Gerhardt H. and Viola E. (Jungren) Fecht. He graduated from Gothenburg High School. Stan was a talented athlete for the Gothenburg Swedes, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track. Stan learned to hunt, trap and fish at an early age and enjoyed being out-of-doors. He played baseball, golfed, and bowled. A highlight of his bowling was scoring a perfect 300 game at the Cozad lanes as a member of a Monroe Auto league. On November 27, 1960, Stan married RoseMary Nichelson at Gothenburg. The couple was blessed with two children, Ralph Jr., and Brenda. The family lived in Gothenburg for many years. Stan was a budget coordinator at Monroe Auto in Cozad before he established Fecht &amp; Kotschwar Fur Buyers with his brother-in-law. He continued in the fur business until he moved to Ogallala, where he and his son operated Fecht's Finds, an antiques and usable business for a short time. Upon retirement, Stan thoroughly enjoyed spending time casting lines at Lake Ogallala, where he earned the nickname, 'Stan the Fisherman.' Stan was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda L. McClellen, two brothers, William and Ronald Fecht, and nephews Gary Fecht and Kelly Kotschwar. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, RoseMary Fecht of Lemoyne; son, Ralph Fecht Jr.; grandchildren, Travis McClellen &amp; Megan (Josh) Sitorius; great-grandchildren, Chandler &amp; Lorelie; three sisters, Vicki (Lawrence) Lutjemeyer of Syracuse, Betty Benson of Custer, SD, Jody (Gary) Kotschwar of Moorefield; brother, John (Karla) Fecht of Cozad; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ray) Ulrich of Rockledge, Fl and Judy Penner of Cozad; and many other relatives and friends.
