Eleanor Jane (Lowenthal) Fasse passed quietly into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 7, 2020, at the age 95 in the home of her daughter, Janine Yurka, Broomfield, Colorado.

Eleanor and her twin brother, Alfred Jr., were born to Alfred and Gladys (Hedberg) Lowenthal on December 14, 1924 in New Haven, Connecticut. Her childhood was spent in East Haven, CT, enjoying her passion for reading and playing on the beaches of Long Island Sound during the summer, a short trolley ride from her home. She graduated from East Haven High School in 1942, where she participated in track and volleyball. It was just prior to her Junior year at New Haven Teachers College that she met her future husband at the wedding of her brother, Alfred, in Hays, Kansas, on August 1, 1946. Following the wedding, Ed Fasse took her back to the hotel and shook her hand “good night.” She then awakened her parents to tell them that “Ed Fasse is going to ask me to marry him.” Ed and Eleanor were joined in marriage at the Old Stone Congregational Church in East Haven, CT, on December 28, 1946.

A city girl now moved to a farm south of Cozad, Nebraska, but the most significant change in her life occurred as a 22 year-old when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior after attending an evangelistic meeting. Eleanor’s new faith in God was discipled initially by the radio program, Back to the Bible, from Lincoln, NE, whereby she studied the Scriptures daily to see if the things she was hearing were true, the testimony of the church at Berea from Acts 17:11. The Berean Church in Lexington, NE, was her source of Christian community and fellowship for over 60 years.

Eleanor worked alongside her husband on the farm and in their business, Ed Fasse Building &amp; and Supply, while rearing 6 children. After the death of her beloved husband, Ed, in 1985, she asked the Lord, “What am I to do now?”&nbsp; Eleanor served for 25 years as a volunteer at Maranatha Bible Camp in the Sweet Shop, living in the cottage on the campground that she and Ed had built in the early 1970’s. The last 3 years of her life were spent in the home of her daughter, Janine, and son-in-law, Paul Yurka. The booklet,&nbsp;The Daily Bread, was part of her morning devotional reading, which she sent faithfully to many family members and friends over the years.&nbsp; Family looked forward to their birthday and anniversary cards from her, which always contained the coveted personal note.

Those left to carry on her legacy are: Andrea (Lon) Matz of Madison, WI,; Mark Fasse of Kearney, NE; Scott (Kim) Fasse, Elkhorn, NE; Greg (Sheryl) Fasse of Roswell, GA; Janine (Paul) Yurka of Broomfield, CO; Laurel (Dave) Wolfe of North Tustin, CA; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.

Eleanor Jane Fasse  (1924-2020)

Duane Wilson, age 91, of Arthur, Nebraska passed away&nbsp; Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, Nebraska.&nbsp;&nbsp;Duane was born February 3, 1929 to Peter Bradley and Harriett (Martin) Wilson.&nbsp;

Duane was raised on the family ranch in Arthur County, graduating from Arthur County High School in 1946.

Duane and Doris Johnson were married on July 8, 1951. They raised five children on the family ranch, celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary this past July. Duane's top priority has always been his family. He enjoyed rodeo, competing in bull riding, team roping and calf roping. Duane was a member of the Nebraska State Rodeo Association for many years.&nbsp;

In 2012, Duane was inducted into the Nebraska Cowboy Hall of Fame, the same year he was awarded Arthur County Rancher of the Year. His strength, knowledge, kind heart and discernment of right and wrong was evident to all who knew him.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Harriett Wilson; brother-in-law Garnet Hartman; and great-grandson, Keighton Farrenkopf.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Duane is survived by his wife, Doris; 2 sons, Kelly Wilson; Brad (Ainslie) Wilson, all of Arthur; 3 daughters; Deborah (George) Chikos of Bridgeport, Nebraska; Connie (Jack) Parker of Lisco, Nebraska; Patty Wilson (Fred Schlickbernd) of Stapleton, Nebraska; 1 sister, Barbara Hartman, of Arthur; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Funeral Service were held Friday, October 9, at 2:00 p.m. in the Arthur County High School Gym in Arthur, Nebraska, with Pastor Ben Keene and Pastor Blake Wilkes of the Arthur Baptist church officiating.

Interment will is in the Arthur Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory to the Arthur County Fairgrounds and the Arthur Betterment Society.

Duane Wilson  (1929-2020)

Cynthia Jean (Skaritka) Larson, age 69, of McCook, NE passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at her home in McCook.

Cindy was born February 21, 1951 in North Brunswick, New Jersey to parents Paul and Ruth (Outcalt) Skaritka. She was one of two children.&nbsp; Cindy attended school in California, graduating from Santa Maria High School with the Class of 1969.&nbsp; She went on to further her education by attending Allen Hancock College and in 1996, she graduated from nursing school and became an L.P.N.&nbsp;

Cindy’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.&nbsp; She always carried balloons in her purse for the grandkids and loved to play “bop the balloon”.&nbsp; Cindy enjoyed camping, fishing, singing and dancing, especially to the oldies, and found peace walking through cemeteries.&nbsp; She was an avid reader who loved to read the National Enquirer. Cindy spent many years as a single mom and was very proud of the daughters she raised.&nbsp;&nbsp;

On November 7, 2013 Cindy married Jerry Larson in Trenton, NE.&nbsp; The couple made their home in McCook.&nbsp;

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Paul Skaritka; and her mother and stepfather, Ruth (Lewis) Denney; and two stepmothers, Caye Skaritka and Goldie Skaritka.

Alene was a longtime member of the Wallace United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Jolly Farmerettes Club for many years. She loved to bake, garden, and sew.&nbsp; Alene adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing all the moments they spent together. Alene was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Michelle; siblings, Lawrence, Welby, Lorena Smith, Treva O'Connor, and Lucile Brodine. Doris Mae Andersen, 93 of Wallace, passed away on October 6, 2020. Doris was born March 6, 1927, on the family farm north of Nelson, Nebraska, to Emma and Rine Oltmans. She attended country school for eight years, graduating from Nelson High School and receiving a normal training teaching certificate. Doris returned to the same one-room schoolhouse she learned in, this time as the teacher, for two years. Doris later attended McCook College and graduated from Kearney State College in 1972. She was an educator for twenty-five years. Doris married Henry Andersen on December 7, 1945, at Nelson, NE. The couple made their home in Davenport, Nebraska, later moving to Wallace, Nebraska in 1949, the year of the bad blizzard. Doris was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a lifelong member of the Wallace Community Players and Wallace Quilt Clubs. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; two brothers, Glenn and Marvin; two sisters, Esther and Corrinne; five brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and two grand-nephews. Doris Mae Andersen  (1927-2020)

Marvin Wesley Woodring passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was 91 years old. Marvin Wesley Woodring was born on April 2, 1929 to Clarence and Grace (Wilson) Woodring on the family farm along the Medicine Creek outside of Stockville, NE. &nbsp;He was the oldest of the Woodring children. He was followed by two sisters, Merna in 1930 and Marilyn in 1932. &nbsp;They rode the family horse to school and had a great time on the banks of the creek. Marvin attended country schools both at District#76 and District #56 before graduating from Stockville High School. &nbsp;He was a true farm kid riding horses, helping with chores and getting his hands dirty fixing things, which helped him out for years to come. He married Barbara Nutt on January 14, 1951 in Curtis, Nebraska at the Congregational Church. &nbsp;The couple made their home on a farm east of Stockville to raise their five children Donald Wesley, Lynda Jean, Dale Alan, Beverly Ann and Connie Jo. He was drafted into the U.S. Army on April 1, 1951 and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. &nbsp;After basic training Marvin was sent to the Korean War as a heavy equipment operator and later a mechanic supervisor. &nbsp;His job was building tropical huts for the Chinese prisoners on an island off the coast of Korea.&nbsp; Marvin was honorably discharged on April 1, 1953. When Marvin returned from the service, he and his family&nbsp; made their home on the farm along the creek which had been the home of many Woodring generations. &nbsp;In 1959 he was running the garage in Stockville until 1963 when he went to work for the Frontier County Road Department, which would last the next 40 years retiring in the spring of 2003. The family moved to the Woodring family farm in 1964 and Marvin would remain there until 2018 when his health declined and he moved to Stockville to live with his son and daughter-in-law. Marvin enjoyed the time he spent fishing whenever and wherever he could. He also enjoyed reading the newspaper, his computer, camping, going to auctions and family gatherings. &nbsp;He was a member of the Historical Society in Curtis for many years. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Merna Schleeman and Marilyn Gugelman, who passed away two hours before Marvin; two brother in laws Don Gugelman and Darwin Schleeman; six grandchildren, Keela, Jody, James Jr. Holmberg, Brenda, Phillip and Kolby Woodring; and one great grandson Blake Woodring.  </figure>Marvin Wesley Woodring passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was 91 years old. Marvin Wesley Woodring was born on April 2, 1929 to Clarence and Grace (Wilson) Woodring on the family farm along the Medicine Creek outside of Stockville, NE. &nbsp;He was the oldest of the Woodring children. He was followed by two sisters, Merna in 1930 and Marilyn in 1932. &nbsp;They rode the family horse to school and had a great time on the banks of the creek. Marvin attended country schools both at District#76 and District #56 before graduating from Stockville High School. &nbsp;He was a true farm kid riding horses, helping with chores and getting his hands dirty fixing things, which helped him out for years to come. He married Barbara Nutt on January 14, 1951 in Curtis, Nebraska at the Congregational Church. &nbsp;The couple made their home on a farm east of Stockville to raise their five children Donald Wesley, Lynda Jean, Dale Alan, Beverly Ann and Connie Jo. He was drafted into the U.S. Army on April 1, 1951 and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. &nbsp;After basic training Marvin was sent to the Korean War as a heavy equipment operator and later a mechanic supervisor. &nbsp;His job was building tropical huts for the Chinese prisoners on an island off the coast of Korea.&nbsp; Marvin was honorably discharged on April 1, 1953. When Marvin returned from the service, he and his family&nbsp; made their home on the farm along the creek which had been the home of many Woodring generations. &nbsp;In 1959 he was running the garage in Stockville until 1963 when he went to work for the Frontier County Road Department, which would last the next 40 years retiring in the spring of 2003. The family moved to the Woodring family farm in 1964 and Marvin would remain there until 2018 when his health declined and he moved to Stockville to live with his son and daughter-in-law. Marvin enjoyed the time he spent fishing whenever and wherever he could. He also enjoyed reading the newspaper, his computer, camping, going to auctions and family gatherings. &nbsp;He was a member of the Historical Society in Curtis for many years. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Merna Schleeman and Marilyn Gugelman, who passed away two hours before Marvin; two brother in laws Don Gugelman and Darwin Schleeman; six grandchildren, Keela, Jody, James Jr. Holmberg, Brenda, Phillip and Kolby Woodring; and one great grandson Blake Woodring. Marvin Wesley Woodring  (1929-2020)

Doris R. Saulsbury, age 88, of North Platte, Nebraska died October 9, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte.&nbsp; She was born March 10, 1932 in Clifton, Illinois to James and Susan Catherine (Elbert) Leggott.&nbsp;

Doris graduated from Elwood High School in 1950.&nbsp; She worked as a telephone operator in Lexington, Nebraska and was privy to many phone conversations.&nbsp; On May 23, 1953, she married Charles Edward Saulsbury at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.&nbsp; After Ed’s discharge from the military, they moved to North Platte, NE in 1958.&nbsp; After having 4 children in 5 years, Doris returned to the workplace.&nbsp; Doris worked for the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service, then was a secretary for J.M. McDonalds store for several years.&nbsp; Doris later returned to the ASCS and retiring as a program technician.&nbsp; After retirement, she worked at Wal-Mart for several years.&nbsp;

Doris was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, being on the funeral dinner committee for years, the FN Klinkers Reunion Camping Club, and Friday Nighters Club, also was a volunteer for RSVP.

Doris will be remembered as a wonderful mother, devoting her life to her family.&nbsp; She enjoyed spending time with her husband Ed, joining him in all of his adventures.&nbsp; She was always a constant fan at all of her family’s events.

Survivors include her four children, Michael (Pat) Saulsbury of Weimar, TX, Patricia (Joe) Snyder of Perry, IA, Kevin (Cori) Saulsbury of Thorton, CO, and Mary (Doug) Haney of North Platte; siblings, Alice Jean Dreher of Lexington, and Donald (Alice) Leggott of Kearney; four sister-in-laws, Jean McTygue of Kearney, Gerda Saulsbury of Lexington, Leigh Saulsbury of Colorado Springs, and Nadia Saulsbury of Washington; nine grandchildren, Mandy (Chris) Gibson of Groves, TX, Nicholas (Kristy) Bryant of North Platte, Kyle (Sara) Baker of North Platte, Logan Baker of Omaha, Charles Hunter (Kim) Haney of North Platte, Miles Synder of Ames, IA, Angela Santiago of Grand Prairie, TX, Sonny (Taylor) Sandoval of Thornton, and CJ Sandoval of Thornton, CO&nbsp; 10 great grandchildren, Morgan, Maura, Dylan, Grant, Abbi, Morgan, Gracelynn, Taylor, Gavin, and Parker; numerous other family members and many friends.&nbsp;

Doris Rachel Saulsbury  (1932-2020)

Helen Marie Haas  (1932-2020)

Gregory Vargas, age 71, of North Platte, Nebraska died at Great Plains Health in North Platte on Monday, September 28, 2020.

Greg was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Mildred and Fulgencia Vargas on February 16, 1949.&nbsp; He grew up in Council Bluffs and after graduating from high school, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967.&nbsp; Greg served in Vietnam, then was assigned to Offutt Air Base in Omaha, Nebraska.

Following his honorable discharge in 1971, Greg moved to North Platte, Nebraska where he began working as a meter reader for the gas company, then hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad.&nbsp; He worked as a Switchman, then a Conductor, until retiring.

On October 9, 1993, Greg married Kimberly Cortez in North Platte and they were together for over 10 years when she died.

Greg was baptized in the Catholic Church and was a member of Eagle Aeries #2839.&nbsp; He liked being with his family and enjoyed mowing his yard.

Along with his wife, Kim, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gary Vargas, and sister, Stephanie Vargas.

Survivors include Greg's daughters, Nicole (Deon) Jackson and Michelle Vargas, all of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchldren Zack Vargas, Derek (Delaney) Vargas; Cayden Jackson, and Chantel Vargas; great-granddaughter, Ellie; sisters Pamela Proctor of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Mercedes 'Mercy' Dschaak of Omaha, Nebraska; a brother Frank Vargas of Las Vegas, Nevada; and other family.

Gregory Vargas  (1949-2020)

Bruce Merle Kroon, age 74, of North Platte, Nebraska died October 2, 2020, at Great Plains Health.

Bruce was born August 22, 1946 to Richard Kroon and Jeri (Arenson) Kroon in Sioux Center, Iowa. He graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1964. Attend college for a couple of years, before going to the Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing, graduating in 1969. He entered the United States Army where he was a surgical nurse at Fort Bragg and Ft Riley. While in nursing school he met the love of his life, Sandra Boffa. They were married on November 13, 1971 at St. John’s at Creighton University. They moved to Rochester, Minnesota where he went to anesthesia school at the Mayo Clinic for 2 years. They moved to North Platte in 1973, he worked as a CRNA at North Platte Hospital Corp. and in 1975 for Great Plains Health. Bruce worked at GPH for over 40 years, retiring in 2013.

As a young man, he was very rambunctious hellion. He loved to golf, fish and hunt. Always had a great sense of humor and great bedside manners. He was very patient, but was a great procrastinator. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren and was proud of their accomplishments.

Survivors include his wife Sandra of North Platte, 2 children; Nikki (Mark) Burkholder and Matt (Nickie) Kroon all of North Platte, sister; Jackie Belka of North Platte, 5 grandchildren; Dylan Woody, Mason Kroon, Bode Kroon, Mila Kroon and Liam Kroon, brother in law; Mark (Sheri) Boffa, Mooresville, NC and many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Bruce was preceded in death by; his parents, brother in law, Tom Belka and in-laws; Wally and Stephanie Boffa.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Josh Brown as celebrant. Private family burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska at a later date.

Book signing will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, North Platte, Ne. A Memorial has been established to the North Platte Catholic Schools.

Bruce worked at GPH for over 40 years, retiring in 2013.As a young man, he was very rambunctious hellion. He loved to golf, fish and hunt. Always had a great sense of humor and great bedside manners. He was very patient, but was a great procrastinator. Bruce Merle Kroon  (1946-2020)

Lewellyn Barbara Frey, age 84, of Stapleton, Nebraska passed away October 6, 2020 at Great Plains Health, North Platte.

Lewellyn was born January 26, 1936, in Altadena, California, to Graceton and Ruby Detlefsen Philpot. When Lewellyn was about 12, the family moved three miles east of Stapleton. She attended school at Stapleton, and graduated with the Class of 1954. She attended CWC in Colorado.

She married Darwin (Derb) Frey on July 17, 1955 in Stapleton. They had two sons, Steve and Greg. They lived in Laramie, Wyoming, Grand Junction, Colorado, and Salt Lake City, Utah, returning to Logan County in 1962 to raise their boys.

During high school, Lewellyn gave tap dancing lessons and while living in Laramie she worked for State Farm Insurance. She also worked at the E.S.U. #16 in North Platte as a teachers aid and took classes at the North Platte Community College in special education and worked at Stapleton Public Schools as a teacher’s aid.

Derb and Lewellyn purchased Hanna’s Supply and called the business Frey’s General Store.

Lewellyn belonged to the Stapleton Chamber of Commerce, and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and V.F.W. Auxiliary in Stapleton, Twilight 12 Club, and the Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Stapleton. She served on the E.S.U. #16 board for 36 years. She loved to golf, play bridge and work in her yard.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved going to all their games and taking Payton and Max golfing. She enjoyed all the activities in their lives and the great visits and all of their achievements.

Survivors include her husband, Derb; and sons, Steve (Cindy) Frey and Greg (Katrina) Frey, all of Stapleton; granddaughters, Stephanie (Greg) Miller of Lincoln; Casondra (Wayne) Claar of Mayfield, Kentucky; Shawna Frey of Stapleton; and Devan (Mitch) McAdow of Hyannis; grandsons, Payton Frey of Stapleton and Maxon &nbsp;Frey of Lincoln; uncle, Bobbie Smith, Arnold; nieces and nephews; and cousins, LaVerna (Pat) Faubion, California; Barbara Detlefsen, Omaha; and Robbi (Shelly) Smith, Arnold.

Lewellyn Barbara Frey  (1936-2020)

Dale Lee Griffiths, age 65, passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 30, 2020. He was a&nbsp; resident of Coppell for 33 years.

Dale was born in Sutherland, Nebraska, on November 25, 1954, the son of William Frederick and Violet Kraft Griffiths. He grew up in Wallace, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in History. He moved to Texas in 1977 and found employment at a trade publication. He then worked for 31 years at the American Association for Respiratory Care as the Director of Product Development and Management retiring in 2015. While working there he met his wife Sharon Raunborg who was working there as a temp. They married on August 15, 1987. Dale said she became the permanent love of his life. Recognized for his work as President on both the Board of the Coppell Public Library and Friends of the Library. He also was recognized for his service on the Valley Ranch Commercial Association in 2012, and the "Old Scout Award" in 2010 for Continuing Acts of Kindness from the Village of Wallace. Dale and Sharon loved to travel both domestically and abroad, and his favorite hobby was reading science fiction and history books. He loved to laugh and tell jokes, and believed you can't be sad if you are smiling.

Dale is survived by his wife Sharon Raunborg Griffiths, mother Violet Griffiths, brother Gary Griffiths, sister Joan (Andy) Payton and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father William Frederick Griffiths.

Graveside services for Dale will be held, 3:30 P.M., Monday, October 12, 2020 at Morning View Cemetery, Wallace, NE., with Reverend Bequi Flores officiating. Dale Lee Griffiths  (1954-2020)

Robert G. Lefevre, age 43, passed away on 29 September 2020, in El Paso, Texas. Robert was born on November 1, 1977 in San Gabriel, California to Guy Lefevre and Florence Magnuson. Rob grew up in San Gabriel, Chino, and Rancho Cucamonga, all located in Southern California, and attended school in Chino and Etiwanda where he was a member of the Etiwanda High School band, graduating from Etiwanda High School in May 1995. After a brief enlistment in the United States Army, he was discharged honorably and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from California State University at San Bernardino in 2005 while also a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. After a short stint as a substitute teacher in California, Rob re-entered the United States Army where he not only spent the majority of his career overseas but was also able to fulfill his dream of performing with the Army Band while also earning numerous awards and achievements. During his time in the Army Rob made countless new friends, met special people, and continued his passion for learning by completing his Master’s Degree in Sciences at the University of Nebraska in 2020, and had planned to enter into the field of Entomology after his retirement from the Army in 2022. His interest in this field led him to teach entomological education at Kaiserslautern High School while stationed in Germany. As a member of the Army Band he was fortunate in traveling to and performing in countries such as Japan, Germany, Italy, Korea, Switzerland, Poland, Ecuador, Vietnam, France, Hong Kong, Australia, El Salvador, Guam, Netherlands, China, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and the Czech Republic.

As a child, Rob was a member of the Civil Air Patrol which assisted youths interested in pursuing a career in the Air Force after high school graduation. Rob was a deep lover of music, having been self-taught on the electric bass guitar since age 15, becoming involved in several local bands, as well as a competition where he ended up winning a bass guitar, taking that same bass guitar home and then redesigning it from the inside out to his exact specifications and liking. At age 17 he undertook his own project and built his own bass guitar from scratch. Rob also played the tuba, drums, cello, French horn, and standup bass, all of which were also self-taught. Rob’s music interests were eclectic in nature, listening to artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, NOFX, Green Day, Van Halen, R.E.M., Primus, New Order, Alice in Chains, the Reverend Horton Heat, jazz, and just about anything from the Motown era. Rob was a seasoned traveler, having enjoyed scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and riding his beloved motorcycle on the Autobahn in Germany. Rob was content spending time with family and friends, but, like any musician with their instrument, seemed to be at his absolute happiest when it was just him and his bass guitar. Outside of the Army Band, he performed in numerous club bands while he was stationed overseas, stepping in where and when necessary regardless of the music genre. Rob was also a lover of cooking, baking, and experimenting in the kitchen as much as possible, often flying by the seat of his pants when it came to his culinary skills. Rob was also extremely skilled in the world of computers and electronics and was generally regarded as his family’s own personal tech support as it seemed there wasn’t a computer dilemma he couldn’t handle.

He is survived by his mother, Florence; father, Guy; stepfather David; sister Lonni (Torres) Garcia, brother-in-law Vince Garcia, step-brother Eric Magnuson, sister-in-law Renee (Lammers) Magnuson, step-brother Joel Magnuson, step-sister Amy Magnuson, nephews Adrian and Nicolas Garcia, Adam Magnuson, Logan Magnuson, Ryan Magnuson, and nieces Marisa Garcia, Sarah Magnuson, and Amara Magnuson. Rob’s wit, intellect, and infectious charisma made him well-loved and admired by virtually everyone who ever met him. During various times of his military career, Rob was a volunteer music teacher giving selfless hours of music instruction to Department of Defense Educational Activity students. Jack O. Schaeffer, age 87, of North Platte passed away at his home in North Platte, NE on October 4, 2020. He was born on December 19, 1932 at North Platte, NE to Pete and Edith (Gardner) Schaeffer. He grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School with the Class of 1950.

He served in the United States Army beginning February 17, 1953 and was Honorably Discharged on February 14, 1955.

Jack returned to North Platte and married Louisa Vath on October 10, 1959, and to this union six children were born. Jack worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Machinist his entire career. He retired in 1994 after 44 years.

He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He especially loved camping with his family. He really enjoyed working with the high school reunion committees.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; son in law, Dan Boren; and special little friend, MaKenna Walters.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 61 years, Louisa; children, Julie (Scott) Charlton, Deb (Paul) Gibbs, Barb (Rich) Boren-Stoen; Kent (Patti) Schaeffer, Rod (Sondra) Schaeffer, and Kathy (Lowell) Schmidt; sister, Virginia Bayne; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Janet Rose Barnhart, age 73, of North Platte, NE passed away unexpectedly due to ALS on October 3, 2020 at UNMC in Omaha, NE. She was born October 22, 1946 at Scottsbluff, NE to Henry and Elsie Hass and grew up in Scottsbluff, NE.

She was united in marriage to Edward Lee Barnhart on September 5, 1965 at Minatare, NE. They lived in Sidney, NE and in 1975 moved to North Platte, NE. To this union 3 children were born.

Janet was a member of First Presbyterian Church in North Platte, NE. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Janet was thrilled to find out she was going to be a great grandmother again to 2 more babies both coming in December due just days apart.

She loved holiday and family get together’s and any chance to spend time with her family was so important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for these special events.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Elsie Hass.

Janet Rose Barnhart  (1946-2020)

Calvin “Cal” William Roggow, age 92, of North Platte, NE went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 2, 2020.&nbsp; He was surrounded by family singing hymns as he entered Heaven.&nbsp;

Cal was born November 23, 1927 in Burke, SD to William Godfried and Ione Grace King Roggow.&nbsp; He was raised in the small farming community of Lucas, SD.&nbsp; He was the first of his siblings to attend high school, graduating valedictorian of his class from Burke High School in 1945.&nbsp; In 1946, he entered the United States Army, where he served for nearly two years in postwar duties.&nbsp; Following his honorable discharge, Cal attended Grand Island Business School, where he received his degree in advanced accounting in 1949.&nbsp; He began his career at Orin Contryman and opened their first branch office in Kearney, NE.&nbsp;

He met his wife, Mary Lois Smith, while in college in Grand Island.&nbsp; They were married June 18, 1950 and celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past June.&nbsp; They welcomed their first son, Lowell Calvin while living in Kearney.&nbsp; In 1952, Cal accepted a job with Hansen Fuenning, a CPA firm in North Platte.&nbsp; After moving to North Platte, the family continued to grow to include Carla Lynne and twins Beth Rynae and Brian Ross.&nbsp; After receiving his CPA in 1970, he became a partner in the CPA firm that grew to be called Hansen, Fuenning, Raetz, Erb, Roggow &amp; Keck.&nbsp; He later founded his own CPA firm called Roggow, Miller &amp; Neidhart.&nbsp; Over the years, he mentored many young CPAs and had a special gift for guiding them into furthering their own careers.&nbsp; In 1990, he sold his practice to Dennis Miller and Tom Neidhart but continued to work part time filing tax returns for long-term clients and friends until the age of 82, thus ending his 61-year career as a CPA.

Cal was a hero of his faith and an inspiration to all who knew him.&nbsp; He had a deep commitment to Jesus, family, clients, and friends.&nbsp; For many years, he was a strong leader in his church, never hesitating to fill any role, including elder/board member, Sunday School teacher, treasurer, song leader and even occasional pianist!&nbsp; He sought to support missions in many ways, opening their home often to missionaries and pastors.&nbsp; His gift of giving was always generous, selfless, and discrete.&nbsp; He also served the community by offering his accounting expertise to Christian organizations.&nbsp; These included Youth for Christ, radio station KJLT, Calvary Assembly (now New Life Church), North Platte Berean Church, Maranatha Bible Camp, and many others.&nbsp; He belonged to the Gideon Bible Association, the Full Gospel Businessmen, and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.&nbsp; He deeply valued education and served on the Evangel University Council for many years.&nbsp; He also volunteered his accounting skills to Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, CO from 1955 to 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ione; in-laws Ross and Florence (Palser) Smith; brothers Vilas, Darrell, Stanley, and Larry Roggow; sister Avis Swift; sister-in-law Naomi Roggow; brothers-in-law Dwaine Swift and Hugh Townsend; and nephew Dwight Roggow.&nbsp;

Cal is survived by his wife Mary; his “baby sister” Darlis Townsend of Springfield, MO; Lowell (Cheri) of Colorado Springs, CO and their children, Brittany, Ross (Erika), and Braden (Katherine); Carla (Jay) Wardrobe of Gandy, NE and their daughters Gina (Les) Smith and Jana Woods; Beth of North Platte and her children Paige and Brendan Delany; Brian (Elaine) of Springfield, MO and their children Brinnae (James) Keathley, Brian Ross II, Bridget, and Brock; great grandchildren Liv and Bronson Roggow, Caspian and Bristol Keathley, one to be born in December, Sarah (Chris) Murphy, Blake and Jacob Smith, and Riley and Max Woods; sisters-in-law Amy Roggow of Colome, SD, Shirley Roggow of Gregory, SD and Donna Roggow of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews, including special nephew Brent (Shannon) Roggow of North Platte and their children Lyndsey, Whitney, and Brenton.&nbsp; The family would also like to extend their sincerest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Andrea Alvarado and Allison Steele for their loving and tender care of Cal over the last three and a half years.

We were greatly blessed to have had him in our lives for so long. His kind and gentle spirit, smile, and the twinkle in his eye remained throughout his life, and he will be greatly missed by all.

Calvin "Cal" William Roggow  (1927-2020)

Robert Lawrence Shirley, age 90, passed away at Centennial Park in North Platte, NE on October 2, 2020. He was born on April 6, 1930 in Indianola, NE to Thomas and Isabel (Wagner) Shirley. He grew up in the area and graduated from Curtis Agricultural High School. He joined the United States Army and served in Korea from 1950 to 1952.

Bob married Jean Sloan on February 20, 1954 and to this union, two children were born: Mark and Brad. After marriage, Bob and Jean farmed near Stockville, NE then Bob worked for the Maywood Co-op. Bob and Jean purchased the grocery store in Maywood in 1959 from Deed Failing then moved it to the Perkins Building in 1965, owning and operating it for 35 years. Bob also was a rural mail carrier in Maywood and North Platte.

Bob was a member of the Maywood United Methodist Church for 58 years. Bob was a strong supporter of the area community being involved in the Community Improvement Program as well as many service organizations. Bob enjoyed buying and selling yearling cattle and spending time feeding them.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Tom, Jim, and Bill as well as sister, Marge.

Survivors include: his wife, Jean of North Platte, NE; sons, Brad (Tawna) Shirley of Maywood, NE, Pam Shirley of Hutchison, KS and Mark (Deb) Shirley of Encampment, WY; sister, MaryAnn Norgaard of Maywood, NE;&nbsp; grandchildren, Joe of Lexington, NE, Laura of Montreal, Canada, and Josh of Denver, CO; four great-grandsons, Carson, Kye, Hamish, and Oscar.

Memorials are suggested to the Maywood United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Maywood United Methodist Church with Pastor Bequi Flores officiating. Robert Lawrence "Bob" Shirley  (1930-2020)

Jeffery L. VanCura (Jeff), 66, of North Platte went to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2020. He was born August 24, 1954 in Lewellen to Henry and Marie (McVay) VanCura. Jeff grew up in various rural areas around Nebraska. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1972 and enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee in January 1973.&nbsp;

Jeff married Jody Brault on November 23rd, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jeff and Jody had three children; Angel (Jason) Foran, Jamie (Virginia) VanCura and Amanda VanCura. They divorced in 1995. Jeff later married Bonnie Marquardt on August 17th, 1997 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. From this marriage, Jeff gained two additional daughters; Sherri (Steve) Smith and Jenni (John) Peterson.&nbsp;

Jeff was discharged from the Navy January 1977. Jeff and Jody then moved to California where he was a member of the Carpenters Union in San Jose, until the family settled in Nebraska in 1983. &nbsp;Jeff worked various jobs from 1983-85 from driving a school bus to being a hired hand but mostly construction work. In 1985 Jeff joined the Perkins County Sheriff’s Department. In 1992, Jeff transferred to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department in North Platte where he retired in May 2006. He then worked at Union Pacific until he retired in 2017.

Jeff loved his children and grandchildren so much. He loved attending their events and you could see his eyes light up when he was holding his babies. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed with friends and family. Jeff loved to camp and fish, playing pool and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed &nbsp;riding his motorcycle and attending the Sturgis Rally for many years. He loved football and would attend Husker games whenever possible. Jeff also loved construction and almost always had a “project” &nbsp;going.&nbsp;

Jeff joined Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church after he and Bonnie were married. Jeff is survived by his wife, children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one grandson.

A memorial will be established at a later date. The family is having a private memorial service. Burial will be at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 am- 5:00 pm, Thursday, October 16 at Adams &amp; Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Jeffrey Lynn 'Jeff' VanCura  (1954-2020)

Lois A. Shea, 57, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died October 5, 2020 at Cozad Community Hospital in Cozad, Nebraska.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lois was born May 8, 1963 in Cozad, NE to Elvin and Imogene Hansen Buss. Lois attended school in Cozad and graduated from Cozad High School in 1981. She then went on to a business college in Denver, CO.

Her first job was at Paulsen Building and Supply in Cozad, NE after college. Lois went to work for Bellamy Grain and All Points Cooperative for over 12 years.&nbsp; She was employed at Petersons Supermarket in Gothenburg for 17 years an was currently employed at Flatwater Bank in Gothenburg working as a loan clerk.&nbsp;

Lois married Thomas Shea on March 14, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union one son Matthew was born.&nbsp; She was a member of&nbsp; First United Methodist Church in Gothenburg, NE.

She loved attending her sons activities at school and was very active in her sons life. She loved taking long walks with her dog, and enjoyed kayaking.

Survivors include husband, Thomas E. Shea of Gothenburg; son, Matthew Shea of Gothenburg; Sister - Cindy (Dan) Finnegan of Cozad, Brother Tim (Kim) Buss of Cozad; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Shea and special friend Madonna McGovern of Alexandria, VA, Jim Shea of Holdrege, Lisa (George) Hendricksen of Cozad, Amy Oxford of Broken Bow, Bill Shea of Fremont and Sally (Paul) Schumacher of Omaha, two aunts, Arlene Beans and Joyce Wolf, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her father&nbsp; Elvin Buss, mother Imogene Buss and brother Marc Buss, brother in law Jerry L. Shea.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Sunday, October 11th, 2020, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., with the family present.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist, Gothenburg, NE, Monday, October 12, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Grace Gichuru and Pastor Doug Smit officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Burial will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

&nbsp; Carobell Bartman, of North Platte, Nebraska died at Centennial Park Retirement Village on Monday, October 5, 2020, at the age of 101. Carobell was born to Clarence and Martha (Wagner) Mott on September 23, 1919, in Kearney, Nebraska where she grew up.&nbsp; After graduating from high school, Carobell attended college for a year. She married Gilbert Gerald Bartman and they lived in Kearney until moving to North Platte in 1961.&nbsp; Carobell went to work cleaning houses until she and Gilbert bought Lions Cleaners. She worked until they closed the cleaners in 1995. Carobell was an active member of Harvest Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed going on church retreats and loved watching TV and DVD's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; parents, Clarence and Martha Mott; and brother, Everett Mott. Carobell is survived by her children, Don Bartman, Rosemary (Harold) Grandy, and Linda (Fay) Herndon, all of North Platte; grandchildren, Karen Herndon (Alan Sullivan), Todd (Alisha) Herndon and Amanda (Shane) Bishop; great-grandchildren, Britelahn and Javan Bishop, Taylor and Gunner Herndon, and Harper Sullivan; and other family. Carobell Bartman  (1919-2020)

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;After a long, brave battle with cancer, Don Bratten passed away peacefully in his home on September 24, 2020 at the age of 70.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Donald Lee Bratten was born on May 24, 1950 in North Platte, Nebraska, the third of four children of Minnie (Anderson) and Joseph 'Joe' Bratten.&nbsp; Don grew up on the family ranch started by his Swedish immigrant grandfather, Charles Bratten, outside of Brady, Nebraska.&nbsp; He attended Brady Public School where he was the Valedictorian of his high school class, and his three children followed suit.&nbsp; He went on to attend Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska.&nbsp; There he majored in biology and played linebacker for the Lopers Football Team.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;While Don was taking his last semester at Kearney State College, he met Sheryl Olson of Minden, Nebraska and they married.&nbsp; They moved to Brady, Nebraska in 1973 and had three children - Adam, Chad and Aimee. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;While living outside of Brady, he worked proudly alongside his father and helped run the 3000 acre family ranch with his wife, Sheryl.&nbsp; Don was very proud of his Swedish heritage, and many of his relatives settled in Gothenburg and Brady in Nebraska. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;In the mid-1980's, Don transitioned into Ag Real Estate before becoming an investment advisor until his retirement.&nbsp; Don loved sports and competition, especially football and basketball.&nbsp; Don was his children's summer sports team, which often took them across the country.&nbsp; He enjoyed taking his children to Colorado for ski trips and to Lincoln, Nebraska for Cornhusker Football games, something he eventually did for his grandchildren as well.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Every Saturday he rooted for his favorite team, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, or cheered on his kids playing football, basketball or volleyball at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska.&nbsp; In the later years, he could be found playing racquetball multiple times a week.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;No one was ever a stranger to Don.&nbsp; He loved talking to people and learning their stories.&nbsp; Don loved to laugh and joke with people and he loved cards, especially cribbage and rummy.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On the ranch, one of his favorite activities was taking the family sledding in the pasture.&nbsp; After leaving the ranch, Don became an avid gardener, implementing Sheryl's designs.&nbsp; He worked tirelessly through the year to maintain his landscaping.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Don became a man of strong faith, and dedicated time to devotionals and reading the Bible up until his last days.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Don is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Minnie Bratten; and his brother, Rich Bratten. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Bratten; his children Adam Bratten, Chad (Jodie) Bratten, and Aimee (Brian) Davis; sisters Carolyn (Joe) Straub and Madelyn (Gary) Bishop; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;With the hope of helping others, Don donated his body for medical research.&nbsp; The family will hold a private celebration of life.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in his name for a later designation and can be sent to Berryman Funeral Home, PO Box 42, Cozad, Nebraska 69130, which is in entrusted with the arrangements.

Marcia Misegadis  (1947-2020)

Louis "Lou" Jay Goold, age 70, of Wellfleet, Nebraska died on September 20, 2020 at his home.&nbsp; Lou was born on January 12, 1950 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Jay and Marie (Stone) Goold.

He grew up in Brule, Nebraska and graduated from Brule High School in 1968 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Biology Degree in 1972.&nbsp; Lou married Vicki Seickman on February 10, 1973.&nbsp; To this union 3 children were born:&nbsp; Jamie, Jennifer and Aaron.&nbsp; Their family lived in Ogallala, Nebraska where he was a mechanic for Nebraska Public Power.&nbsp; He married Becky Andresen on July 24, 1988 and the couple lived north of Hershey, Nebraska for several years until they moved north of Wellfleet, Nebraska.&nbsp; Lou retired in 2013.&nbsp; He had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was renowned for his mechanical abilities with pan head engines.&nbsp; He made many trips to Sturgis.&nbsp; Lou loved the outdoors, taking his family camping often.&nbsp; He had many friends and will be remembered as very loyal and treated them like family.&nbsp; He was a very honest person, sometimes to a fault, and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his 3 children, Jamie Fitzpatrick of Sutherland, Nebraska, Jennifer (Eric) Gonzalez of Grant, Nebraska, and Aaron Goold of Ogallala, Nebraska; five grandchildren Teagan Morris Fitzpatrick, Eric John Gonzalez Jr, Ethan Mark Gonzalez, Adriana Gonzalez, and Alejandra Gonzalez; two sisters Carol (Milton) Talcott of Lincoln, Nebraska dna Shirley Eastwood of Brule, Nebraska; soul mate, Becky Goold; two step-sons Josh Vath of North Platte, Nebraska and Nathaniel Andresen of North Platte, Nebraska; step-grandson, Shya Guadtis of Curtis, Nebraska; and numerous other family members and many friends.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gerald and James.

 </figure>Louis "Lou" Jay Goold, age 70, of Wellfleet, Nebraska died on September 20, 2020 at his home.&nbsp; Lou was born on January 12, 1950 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Jay and Marie (Stone) Goold.He grew up in Brule, Nebraska and graduated from Brule High School in 1968 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Biology Degree in 1972.&nbsp; Lou married Vicki Seickman on February 10, 1973.&nbsp; To this union 3 children were born:&nbsp; Jamie, Jennifer and Aaron.&nbsp; Their family lived in Ogallala, Nebraska where he was a mechanic for Nebraska Public Power.&nbsp; He married Becky Andresen on July 24, 1988 and the couple lived north of Hershey, Nebraska for several years until they moved north of Wellfleet, Nebraska.&nbsp; Lou retired in 2013.&nbsp; He had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and was renowned for his mechanical abilities with pan head engines.&nbsp; He made many trips to Sturgis.&nbsp; Lou loved the outdoors, taking his family camping often.&nbsp; He had many friends and will be remembered as very loyal and treated them like family.&nbsp; He was a very honest person, sometimes to a fault, and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.Survivors include his 3 children, Jamie Fitzpatrick of Sutherland, Nebraska, Jennifer (Eric) Gonzalez of Grant, Nebraska, and Aaron Goold of Ogallala, Nebraska; five grandchildren Teagan Morris Fitzpatrick, Eric John Gonzalez Jr, Ethan Mark Gonzalez, Adriana Gonzalez, and Alejandra Gonzalez; two sisters Carol (Milton) Talcott of Lincoln, Nebraska dna Shirley Eastwood of Brule, Nebraska; soul mate, Becky Goold; two step-sons Josh Vath of North Platte, Nebraska and Nathaniel Andresen of North Platte, Nebraska; step-grandson, Shya Guadtis of Curtis, Nebraska; and numerous other family members and many friends.Lou was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gerald and James.A memorial has been established in his name to a charitable poker run.&nbsp; Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.Visitation will be on Friday, October 2, 2020 from noon until 7:00 p.m. (Central Time) at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, 421 West 4th Street in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Brule Cemetery in Brule, Nebraska with Rev. Samantha Marie Markey, age 38, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on September 29, 2020 at her home.&nbsp; She was born on November 2, 1981 to Suzi Main in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Samantha graduated from Hershey High School in Hershey, Nebraska and then lived in Sutherland, Nebraska where she raised her family.&nbsp; She went to school to become a CNA and worked as a care giver.&nbsp; She also worked at Burger King for many years with her sister.&nbsp;

She always put her family above all others and was selfless to everyone.&nbsp; Samantha loved her family and her dogs, not always in that order.&nbsp; Samantha and her partner, Brad, created a family as they raised 6 girls.

Survivors include her two daughters, Alexis Markey and Allee Markey of North Platte, Nebraska; her mother, Suzi (Scot) Brown of North Platte, Nebraska; her partner, Brad McCartney and his 4 daughters Keisha, Kaylee, Kierra, and Kelsey all of North Platte, Nebraska; siblings Kimberly Barthel of Valparaiso, Indiana, Terry Barthel of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Brent (Sharalee) Rinke of North Platte, Nebraska, and Chole Brown of North Platte, Nebrasaka; nieces and nephews Chase Barthel, Curty Barthel, T.J. Barthel, Braxton Barthel, Bennett Barthel, Alyssa Miller, Tatume Rinke, Spencer Rinke, Moxson Rinke, and Addison Brown; and many other family members and many friends.

Samantha is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Allen Markey, Jr.

Fred Arthur Baugher, age 73, of Stockville, Nebraska passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

He was born on February 27, 1947 at Sandwich, Illinois to Harriet and Russel Baugher.&nbsp; Fred grew up in Marseilles, Illinois and spend most of his life being a collector and building outhouses as well as about 70 banks throughout Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska in his lifetime.

He served in the United States Army, doing a tour of duty in Korea from February 24, 1967 and was honorably discharged on September 27, 1968.

Fred is survived by his siblings John Baugher of Marseilles, Illinois, Theresa Rose of Tyler, Texas, James Baugher of Greenville, South Caroliina, David Baugher of Baytown, Texas, Ruth Higby of Washington, Missouri, and Gerald Baugher of Thompsville, Illinois;&nbsp; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friends Jan Laux and Benny Lashley; his poodle, Inky; and many other friends.

Graveside services were held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska with Full Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation.
