Garry Warren Morris, age 77, of North Platte, Nebraska died at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

Garry was born in North Platte, Nebraska on February 9, 1943 to Warren and Frances (Houser) Morris and grew up in Sutherland.&nbsp; He attended Sutherland High School where he played halfback for the Sailors Football Team and they wond the State Championship in 1961.&nbsp; Garry graduated in 1961 and then worked on his dad's farm until going to work for Callahan Implement in North Platte.&nbsp; In 1968, Garry hired on with the Union Pacific Railroad and worked as a Machinist until retiring in 2003.

On October 18, 1982, Garry married Janice Reiner in Las Vegas, Nevada and they lived in North Platte where they are members of Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Garry was a Husker fan, a geocacher with over 4000 finds, and loved flying.&nbsp; He earned his private pilot's license and was able to buy a plane with his friend, Larry.&nbsp; Garry loved his family and enjoyed spending Sunday dinners at Rick and Tricia's house and playing marbles.&nbsp; He especially loved his granddaughters, Abbie and Maggie, and always made time to attend their high school events.&nbsp; Garry was greatly loved and will be missed.

He leaves behind his wife, Jan of North Platte, Nebraska; a son Ricky (Tricia) Morris of Sutherland, Nebraska; sisters Patsy (Gary) Marrs of Sutherland, Nebraska and Gretta (Danny) McAndrews of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters Abbie Morris and Maggie (Dakota) Yost; great-granddaughter Emersyn Yost; as well as other family.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Frances.

Thomas Lynn Lieberth, age 65, of Westminster, Colorado passed away on September 12, 2020 at Lutheran Hospice Collier Center in Wheatridge, Colorado.

He was born on April 23, 1955 in North Platte, Nebraska to Barbara and Edward Dowell.

Tommy went to school in North Platte, Nebraska graduating with the Class of 1973.&nbsp; He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad.&nbsp; He moved to Lakewood, Colorado and worked for WSM Industries.

Tommy married Barbara Duke in 1983.&nbsp; To this union one son was born - Jesse Jerome.

He loved walking his furry friend and watching the Denver Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche and Nuggets.

Tommy was preceded in death by his dad, Don Lieberth; brothers Larry and Garry; grandparents Bernie and Rudy Neumann and Ester Dowell.

He is survived by his son, Jesse Lieberth of Westminster, Colorado; and his special furry friend, Skyy Blessing, who brought him much joy and played a big part in his life; his parents, Ed and Barb Dowell of North Platte, Nebraska; his brothers Dan (Bonnie) Lieberth of Chandler, Arizona, Jerry (Sandy) Lieberth of Holdrege, Nebraska, Steve Dowell of Wahepton, North Dakota, Scott (Amber) Dowell of Surprise, Arizona, and Dan (Dana) Beck of Casper, Wyoming; his aunts Sandy Reisinger of Loveland, Colorado, Carol Neumann of Vero Beach Florida, and Velda Gray; and many other family members.

Elizabeth Irene Blaylock, age 71, of North Platte, Nebraska, died unexpectedly at Great Plains Health on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

Elizabeth was born to Ollie Cullen and Opal Alice (Barnum) Johnson on May 21, 1949 in North Platte, where she grew up.

Elizabeth married Marion Zulkoski in Sacremento, California and they made their home in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; After Marion died in 1979, Elizabeth wed Sterling Eugene Blaylock, Sr. on November 11, 1984 and they continued living in North Platte.&nbsp; They were together nearly 20 years when he died in 2003.

Years ago, Elizabeth taught Sunday School at the Berean Fundamental Church, then attended New Life Assembly Church iof Kearney during the 1980's.&nbsp; Elizabeth loved her family and raised her grandkids as their foster parent.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion Zulkoski and Sterling Blaylock, Sr; a son, John Blaylock and daughter, Loretta Buger; her parents, Ollie and Opal Johnson; brothers, Roy, Cecil, Marvin, and Robert Nichols and Boyd and Harold Johnson; and her sisters, Frances Ann Johnson, Mae Etta J. Martin, Virginia Johnston, and Opal Johnson.

Elizabeth leaves behind her children, Sterling, Jr (Elaine) Blaylock of Hartsville, South Carolina, Earl Blaylock, David (Tina) Blaylock, and Debra Heckle all of Kankakee, Illinois, Edward Blaylock Sr, Roxanne Foust, and Cynthia Blaylock all of North Platte, Nebraska, Blaine Blaylock and Felicia Dardar of Jackson, Missouri, and Cynthia Griecie; her brother, Ron (Judy) Johnson of North Platte, Nebraska; as well as 7 grandkids, 6 great-grandkids and other family.

George Bruce White was born on February 27, 1944 in Sutherland, Nebraska to Connor and Frances (Stringfield) White.&nbsp; He attended North Platte High School, graduating with the Class of 1962.&nbsp; Bruce proudly served in the Air National Guard for several years.&nbsp; On june 3, 1977, Bruce was united in marriage to Kathleen Rendon-Martinez.&nbsp; He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.&nbsp; Most recently, Bruce worked as a driver at Broadfoot Sand &amp; Gravel.

Bruce was a longtime Denver Broncos fan.&nbsp; He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and fishing.&nbsp; Bruce was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy White of Riverdale, Nebraska; children from a previous marriage, Debbie Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tina (Mark) Reeves of Colorado Springs, Colorado; other children include Tony (Kristy) Martinez of Longmont, Colorado, Elizabeth (Gordon) Steele of Kearney, Nebraska, and Mark Martinez of Kearney, Nebraska; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Gary (Diane) White of Joseph, Oregon and Bob White of North Platte, Nebraska; a sister Vicki (Stewart) Holmes of North Platte, Nebraska; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

George "Bruce" White  (1944-2020)

Denyse Scott, age 82, of Hayes Center, Nebraska passed away at her home in Hayes Center on September 15, 2020.&nbsp; She was born on January 12, 1938 in Hayes Center, Nebraska to Dennis and Elsie (Tate) Rathburn.&nbsp; She attended school in Hayes Center and graduated with the class of 1955.&nbsp; Denyse started working at the local ASC office at the age 0f 16 years, while she was still in high school.

On August 1, 1958, she married VerDon Scott.&nbsp; Denyse and VerDon were blessed with five children:&nbsp; Brent, Candace, Roger, Dennis and Mitchell.&nbsp; The family made their home in Hayes Center for several years before moving to Kearney, Nebraska where Denyse worked at the West Company.&nbsp; After two years in Kearney, the family returned to Hayes Center where Denyse started a second career, having retired from the ASC office, as a secretary at the grade school until her final retirement.

Denyse was a member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ.&nbsp; When not busy raising her children and supporting her community through her different jobs, Denyse enjoyed arts and crafts.&nbsp; Countless people are still wearing her creations or have her artwork on their walls.&nbsp; She was a gracious and giving person.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband VerDon; and a sister, Martha Gerih.

Survivors include her son, Brent Scott of Wallace, Nebraska; daughter Candance Scott of Ypsilanti, Michigan; son Roger Scott of Hayes Center; son Dennis Scott of Hayes Center; and son Mitch Scott of Hayes Center; sisters Betty Jean (Dean) Mintling of Boulder, Colorado and Jan Breeze of McCook, Nebraska; a brother, Richard Rathburn of Crete, Nebraska; brother-in-law Ron Scott of McCook, Nebraska; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CT at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hayes Center, Nebraska with Pastor Jean Miller officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow the services in the Hayes Center Cemetery.&nbsp; In honor of Denyse's wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation and the casket will remain closed prior to the services.&nbsp;&nbsp;

 </figure>Denyse Scott, age 82, of Hayes Center, Nebraska passed away at her home in Hayes Center on September 15, 2020.&nbsp; She was born on January 12, 1938 in Hayes Center, Nebraska to Dennis and Elsie (Tate) Rathburn.&nbsp; She attended school in Hayes Center and graduated with the class of 1955.&nbsp; Denyse started working at the local ASC office at the age 0f 16 years, while she was still in high school.On August 1, 1958, she married VerDon Scott.&nbsp; Denyse and VerDon were blessed with five children:&nbsp; Brent, Candace, Roger, Dennis and Mitchell.&nbsp; The family made their home in Hayes Center for several years before moving to Kearney, Nebraska where Denyse worked at the West Company.&nbsp; After two years in Kearney, the family returned to Hayes Center where Denyse started a second career, having retired from the ASC office, as a secretary at the grade school until her final retirement.Denyse was a member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ.&nbsp; When not busy raising her children and supporting her community through her different jobs, Denyse enjoyed arts and crafts.&nbsp; Countless people are still wearing her creations or have her artwork on their walls.&nbsp; She was a gracious and giving person.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband VerDon; and a sister, Martha Gerih.Survivors include her son, Brent Scott of Wallace, Nebraska; daughter Candance Scott of Ypsilanti, Michigan; son Roger Scott of Hayes Center; son Dennis Scott of Hayes Center; and son Mitch Scott of Hayes Center; sisters Betty Jean (Dean) Mintling of Boulder, Colorado and Jan Breeze of McCook, Nebraska; a brother, Richard Rathburn of Crete, Nebraska; brother-in-law Ron Scott of McCook, Nebraska; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CT at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hayes Center, Nebraska with Pastor Jean Miller officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow the services in the Hayes Center Cemetery.&nbsp; In honor of Denyse's wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation and the casket will remain closed prior to the services.&nbsp;&nbsp;Memorials are suggested to the Union United Congregational Church of Christ in Denyse's name.&nbsp; Online condolences may be left at herrmannfh.com.&nbsp; Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel at 607 Norris Avenue, McCook, Nebraska is entrusted with the arrangements.

Nita Joyce Wolters, age 93, of McCook, Nebraska passed away at her home on September 13, 2020.&nbsp; She was born in Atwood, Kansas on September 20, 1926 to Leo Bernard and Nellie Florence (Dunn) Bowles.&nbsp; Joyce grew up in Atwood and graduated from Atwood High School in 1944.

On April 24, 1949 she was united in marriage to Frederick Kastens Wolters in Atwood, Kansas.&nbsp; To this union, 3 children were born: Marilyn, Gary and Roger.&nbsp; Frederick preceded her in death on March 22, 1995.&nbsp; The couple farmed south of Trenton, Nebraska before moving into Trenton in 1961.&nbsp; In 1961, Joyce began working for the United States Postal Service as a clerk.&nbsp; She worked in Stratton, Trenton and Culbertson in Nebraska.&nbsp; In 1979, she moved to McCook, Nebraska where she continued to work for USPS until she retired in 1986.

Joyce was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.&nbsp; She was a fabulous cook and baker, known for many special "Joyce" recipes.&nbsp; She was an excellent seamstress, making clothing for her daughter and grandchildren.&nbsp; She was an avid garage sale and estate auction attendee.&nbsp; Joyce enjoyed her flower gardens.&nbsp; She was the owner of the Merle Norman Cosmetic store in McCook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frederick; daughter Marilyn Wolters; brother Bernard "Bud" Bowles and his wife, Jerry; and a sister Joann Mann and her husband, Bob.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Roger Wolters of McCook and Gary (Jeniffer) Wolters of Oberlin, Kansas; five grandchildren: Kelsie Wolters, Desiree Nessline, Shelby (Tanner) Hardy, Danyel (Clint) Krizek, and Erin Basnett; six great grandchildren: Eli Hardy, Kenna Hardy, Blake Krizek, Donald Basnett, Kaden Nessline, and Keehgan Nessline; as well as several nieces and nephews.

N. Joyce Wolters  (1926-2020)

Alma was born to Edwin and Florence (Peters) Seifried on August 4, 1920 in Tripp County on a farm near Winner, South Dakota.

In 1928, the family moved to a farm near Sparks, Nebraska where Alma attended Sandcreek School.&nbsp; The next move was to Rosebud, South Dakota where her parents opened a cafe.

In 1933 the move was to Valentine, Nebraska where Alma graduated from high school in 1938.&nbsp; Her first job was for Stilwell Insurance Company.

Alma married Herbert Leonard Alder in 1939 at Martin, South Dakota.&nbsp; They had 2 children, Sharon Kay and Robert Richard.

Alma and Leonard enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling.&nbsp; Travels included Hawaii and Canada.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Merle Edwin (infant) and Donald Claire; and her husband Leonard.

Surviving are daughter Sharon and husband David White, son Robert and wife Irene; grandchildren Rhonda Green and husband Steven, Tina Alder, Richard Alder, and David Alder; and great grandchildren Ronda Cheyanne Alder, Dylan Alder and Uma Rae Green.

Alma was a member of the United Methodist Church since 1950.&nbsp; She passed away at Pine View Nursing Home on September 10, 2020 at the age of 100.

Graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine, Nebraska.&nbsp; Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine, Nebraska was in charge of service arrangements.

Alma Alder  (1920-2020)

Charlotte Jeanette Hartman, former Cozad, Nebraska resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Kearney Regional Hospital iin Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 84.&nbsp; Charlotte was born on April 17, 1936 in Callaway, Nebraska to Leo and Eva (Cudaback) Baker.&nbsp; She graduated from Callaway High School with the Class of 1954.&nbsp;

Charlotte worked for the Telephone Company in Lexington, Holdrege and Omaha in Nebraska.&nbsp; On June 3, 1956, she married Donald Lewis "Buck" Hartman at Red Fern Church near Callaway, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple moved to Pierre, South Dakota where Michael Ray was born.&nbsp; They moved to Lexington, Nebraska and then to Cozad, Nebraska where Douglas Wayne was born, followed by Gregory Lee a few years later.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Charlotte worked at various jobs, including Monroe Auto, Circle S Motel as a housekeeper, Hunt Cleaners and worked along side Buck in D &amp; R Furniture which he co-owned.

Charlotte and Buck moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1985 and she managed apartments until they moved to Norton, Kansas in 1999 where they retired.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Buck passed away in January of 2005.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Charlotte was active in the various churches she attended.&nbsp; She recently moved to Callaway, Nebraska until being ill and in need of hospitalization.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Monica) Hartman of Sperry, Iowa, Douglas (Kim) Hartman of Cozad, Nebraska, and Gregory (Melissa) Hartman of Cozad, Nebraska; grandchildren Kim Edwards, Janelle Hartman, Joe (Julie) Hartman, Rachel Cisneros, Lydia (Justin) Dorn, Cole Hartman, and Erica (Noah) Stewart; 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Sandy Fox of Callaway, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Bonnie Block of Cozad, Nebraska, Norma Vanzant of Ulysses, Kansas, and Joan Schweitzer of Bossier City, Louisiana; and numerous friends and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother &amp; father-in-law; her husband, an infant brother; sisters Audrey Kugler and Janese McCaslin; sister-in-law Vaneta McCreary; brothers-in-law Bob Hartman, Archie Block, Carroll McCreary, Jerry Schweitzer, Neal Kugler, Gage McCaslin, and Steve Fox.

Charlotte Jeanette Hartman  (1936-2020)

Dr. Leland F. Lamberty, age 76 of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.

He was born to Earlyon John and Gladys (Havekost) Lamberty on October 24, 1943 at Tilden, Nebraska.&nbsp; He grew up in Seward, Nebraska where he graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1961.&nbsp; He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received his Bachelor's Degree.&nbsp; He then attended the Nebraska School of Medicine for his Medical Degree and performed his internship at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Lee was united in marriage to Ann Steinheider on September 5, 1964 and to this union four children were born: Jennifer, Becky, Ryan, and Garrod.&nbsp; Leland and Ann divorced in 1991.&nbsp; On August 4, 2007, he was united in marriage to Jody Lundvall.

He began his career in Holdrege, Nebraska for a short period of time and later moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1973 where he established Family Medical Associates.&nbsp; He was joined by Dr. Janet Bernard in 1985 where she worked until retirement.&nbsp; Recently, the practice joined with the Great Plains Health in January of 2019.

Lee loved music and played the trumpet in high school and college.&nbsp; He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and teaching his children the games growing up.&nbsp; He always looked forward to family get-togethers during the holidays and especially loved Christmas and the 4th of July.&nbsp; He always bought the largest Christmas tree and loved a huge display of fireworks on the 4th of July.

He was an avid car enthusiast.&nbsp; He enjoyed reading about cars, driving and looking at cars.&nbsp; Lee had a special interest in gas mileage.&nbsp; He appreciated trees, really loved his family and his work.&nbsp; He could frequently be seen dancing in the halls as if a song he liked came on.

Lee was a member of the First Lutheran Church in North Platte where he served more than once at Council President.&nbsp; He was Chief of Staff at the hospital twice and enjoyed serving on various committees.

Lee is surviced by his wife, Jody; his daughters Jennifer (Dave) Roth and Becky (Keith) Kempke; his son, Garrod Lamberty; grandchildren Zach (Jess) Roth, Kelsey Roth, Matt (Aleesha) Roth, Jamie Roth, Eli Kempke, Gabby Lamberty, and Lizzy Lamberty; one great grandson, Sam Roth.&nbsp; After marrying Jody, Lee added to the family Misty (Robert) Durfee, Melony (Jared) O'Keefe, and Myron Lunvall and their children Ashlynn, Katie and Alyssa Durfee, Makenzie Lundvall, and Keathen and Kasen O'Keefe; and his (adopted son) Brendon Curtis; his brothers Louis (Pat) Lamberty, Leonard (Ellie) Lamberty, Larry (Elaine) Lambery and Lynn (Rose) Lamberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ryan Lamberty; his niece, Kam Lamberty; and a sister-in-law, GiGi Lamberty.

Lee had phenomenal care at Great Plains Helath, and the family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, therapists and other support staff who made this care possible.&nbsp; A very special thanks to Dr. Eduardo Freitas, Dr. Renu Kadian, Dr. Jovanka Vuksanovic, and Dr. Guido Molina-Pallete for everything they did for Lee and his family.&nbsp; Great Plains Health is fortunate to have such great people on their staff.

A private family Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Visitation and book signing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.&nbsp; The family requests bright clothing in honor of Lee's love of bright colors.&nbsp; Masks will be required.&nbsp; Services will be held following all current health directives regarding Covid-19.

Lamberty, age 76 of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.He was born to Earlyon John and Gladys (Havekost) Lamberty on October 24, 1943 at Tilden, Nebraska.&nbsp; He grew up in Seward, Nebraska where he graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1961.&nbsp; He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received his Bachelor's Degree.&nbsp; He then attended the Nebraska School of Medicine for his Medical Degree and performed his internship at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.Lee was united in marriage to Ann Steinheider on September 5, 1964 and to this union four children were born: Jennifer, Becky, Ryan, and Garrod.&nbsp; Leland and Ann divorced in 1991.&nbsp; On August 4, 2007, he was united in marriage to Jody Lundvall.He began his career in Holdrege, Nebraska for a short period of time and later moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1973 where he established Family Medical Associates.&nbsp; He was joined by Dr. Janet Bernard in 1985 where she worked until retirement.&nbsp; Recently, the practice joined with the Great Plains Health in January of 2019.Lee loved music and played the trumpet in high school and college.&nbsp; He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and teaching his children the games growing up.&nbsp; He always looked forward to family get-togethers during the holidays and especially loved Christmas and the 4th of July.&nbsp; He always bought the largest Christmas tree and loved a huge display of fireworks on the 4th of July.He was an avid car enthusiast.&nbsp; He enjoyed reading about cars, driving and looking at cars.&nbsp; Lee had a special interest in gas mileage.&nbsp; He appreciated trees, really loved his family and his work.&nbsp; He could frequently be seen dancing in the halls as if a song he liked came on.Lee was a member of the First Lutheran Church in North Platte where he served more than once at Council President.&nbsp; He was Chief of Staff at the hospital twice and enjoyed serving on various committees.Lee is surviced by his wife, Jody; his daughters Jennifer (Dave) Roth and Becky (Keith) Kempke; his son, Garrod Lamberty; grandchildren Zach (Jess) Roth, Kelsey Roth, Matt (Aleesha) Roth, Jamie Roth, Eli Kempke, Gabby Lamberty, and Lizzy Lamberty; one great grandson, Sam Roth.&nbsp; After marrying Jody, Lee added to the family Misty (Robert) Durfee, Melony (Jared) O'Keefe, and Myron Lunvall and their children Ashlynn, Katie and Alyssa Durfee, Makenzie Lundvall, and Keathen and Kasen O'Keefe; and his (adopted son) Brendon Curtis; his brothers Louis (Pat) Lamberty, Leonard (Ellie) Lamberty, Larry (Elaine) Lambery and Lynn (Rose) Lamberty.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ryan Lamberty; his niece, Kam Lamberty; and a sister-in-law, GiGi Lamberty.Lee had phenomenal care at Great Plains Helath, and the family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, therapists and other support staff who made this care possible.&nbsp; A very special thanks to Dr. Eduardo Freitas, Dr. Renu Kadian, Dr. Jovanka Vuksanovic, and Dr. Guido Molina-Pallete for everything they did for Lee and his family.&nbsp; Great Plains Health is fortunate to have such great people on their staff.A private family Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; Visitation and book signing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.&nbsp; The family requests bright clothing in honor of Lee's love of bright colors.&nbsp; Masks will be required.&nbsp; Services will be held following all current health directives regarding Covid-19.A memorial will be established in Lee's name and memorials can be made to the family to be designated at a later date.&nbsp; The service will be streamed via Carpenter Memorial Chapel's Facebook page for those that cannot attend.&nbsp; Online condolences and sharing of memories can be made at www.carpentermemorial.com.&nbsp; Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte is entrusted with the arrangements.

Dr. Leland F. Lamberty  (1943-2020)

Buford Rockwell, age 86, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.&nbsp; He was born in Gandy, Nebraska on January 2, 1934 to Orville and Lola (Smith) Rockwell.

Buford graduated from Gandy Logan County with the Class of 1952.&nbsp; He attended Business School in North Platte and entered the U.S. Army in 1956, being honorably discharged in 1958.

He was an Auditor for the Department of Revenue, residing in the towns of Gandy, Lincoln, and North Platte in Nebraska.&nbsp; He also farmed.

On October 8, 1972, he married Ilene G. Weiss in Curtis, Nebraska.&nbsp; In September of 1975, they&nbsp;adopted a son, Kim, Lee.

Survivors include his son, Kim (Lorena) Rockwell of North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Brandon, Tanner, Shelby, Kyler, Kaiden, and Aliyah; a great grandchild, Kyle; sisters Vonna Jackson of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Carolyn Foran of North Platte, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Lavinna Banzhaf of Eustis, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

Buford was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ilene; sisters Velma Ressequie and Sharon Banzhaf; brothers-in-law Joseph Jackson, Joe Banzhaf, Don Banzhaf, Don Ressequie, and Harlan Weiss; and nephews Randy Banzhaf and Darin Foran.

Eunice Mae Masters, age 90, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on September 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 9, 1930 at her grandparents' home in Denmark, Nebraska (in Lincoln County south of Maxwell, Nebraska) to Ralph and Irene (Thomsen) Gutherless.&nbsp; She grew up south of Maxwell, Nebraska and graduated from high school in Curtis, Nebraska.

Eunice was united in marriage to Hollis Masters on March 26, 1948, after which the couple lived on various farms and ranches, and then bought her folks' place in Cottonwood Canyon.&nbsp; Through the years, five children were added to the family.&nbsp; They moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1991 and lived at Lake Maloney.&nbsp; Prior to Hollis' death, they celebrated 50 years of marriage.&nbsp; Although her main occupation was housewife, she also was a teacher, bus driver, cook and seamstress.&nbsp; She was a member of Maywood Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a son-in-law, Rob Rudloff; a grandson, Brent Masters; a granddaughter, Pam (Rudloff) Sommers; and a sister, Cleona Douglas.

Eunice is survived by her son, Bruce (Maxine) Masters of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters Nancy (Fred) Russell of Gordon, Nebraska, Patricia (Mike) Reynolds of Maxwell, Nebraska, Gwen Rudloff of North Platte, Nebraska, and Brenda (Rod) Thayer of Champion, Nebraska; her sisters Lucille Myer of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Bunny (Floyd) Bokoski of North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 2 sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and special nieghbors, John and Lindee Doyle.

Jackie was united in marriage to Richard "Ram" Myers in North Platte, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple lived in North Platte where Jackie and Ram raised their family.&nbsp; Jackie was a member of TOPS, where she met many lifelong friends.&nbsp; After Ram's retirement, they enjoyed golfing, and looked forward to their Saturday evening dinner with friends.&nbsp; Her family was very important to her and she will be dearly missed by them.

Survivors include her children, Kevin (Patty) Myers of Omaha, Nebraska, Syrena (Keith) Davis, Kathleen Mattocks, and Stephanie (Guy) Brouillette, all of North Platte, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron (Lila) Edington of Wallace, Nebraska and Kent (Shelly) Edington of Dickens, Nebraska; and several other family members and many friends.

Lucy Buesing, age 82, of Gothenburg, Nebraska died on September 14, 2020 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.

She was born on August 23, 1938 in Neudorf, Ukraine, the daughter of Otto and Hilda (Seel) Netzel.&nbsp; She was baptized on April 17, 1944 in Eugenfeld, Ukraine.&nbsp; Lucy arrived in New Orleans, LA on March 21, 1952 at the age of 14 with her mother and sister.&nbsp; She attended school at Lexington, Nebraska through the eighth grade and later received her GED in May of 1984.&nbsp; Lucy was united in marriage to Carl D. Schwarz on January 8, 1955 in Lexington, Nebraska.&nbsp; The couple later divorced.&nbsp; Seven children were blessed to this marriage:&nbsp; David, Teresa, Ron, Anthony, Kathy, Charlie, and Troy.&nbsp; Lucy married Darrell Buesing on June 15, 1985 in Lexington, Nebraska.&nbsp; Over the years, she had several different jobs; she worked at Michael's, West Side Care Home, Slacks Nursing Home and retired from Hilltop Estates as the head dietitian.&nbsp; she loved her music, cooking, and baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Teresa &amp; husband Gary Smith of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Ron Schwarz of Lexington, Nebraska, Kathy and her husband Tim Lord of Indianola, Nebraska, Charlie and his wife Denise Schwarz of Clovis California, and Troy Schwarz of Gothenburg, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Schwarz; step-sons Mike Buesing, Matt (Angie) Buesing, and Mark Buesing; a host of step grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lucy Buesing  (1938-2020)

Anthony Lee Reich, 73, gained his angel wings on September 9, 2020. He was born October 24, 1946 to James and Angelina Reich in Stillwater, Minnesota. Tony grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota with four siblings, Patricia, Henry, Peggy and Steven.

In 1974, Tony moved to South Carolina where he met the love of his life, Etrulia Ann Broadwater. They were united in marriage on his birthday, October 24, 1975.

In 1976 Tony and Ann moved to Sutherland to work at Gerald Gentleman Station. In 1979 Tony became disabled from an accident at the power plant which allowed him more time with his children, hobbies and Special Olympics. Before becoming disabled Tony really enjoyed riding his Harley.

Tony enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, going to the stock car races, and playing cards at Rosebud Casino. Tony and his honorary brother Jay Conrad owned and operated T Bar J Trapping.

He was a great coach along with his wife Ann for Special Olympics. He loved all his athletes and they loved him as well. Quote from Special Olympic Athlete Augie Tarango- “Tony will be missed, I remember Special Olympics basketball practice, if we didn’t listen, he would make us run. I remember him saying he didn’t know anything about basketball. Tony and coach Ann coached us to five state championships for Special Olympics.”

Tony held his kids, grandkids and great grandkids close to his heart. He was by far the most unselfish person ever. He will be greatly missed, but we all know he will be there looking over us.

Tony is survived by his wife Ann of Sutherland; two sisters, Patricia Forlsblom and Peggy Dau both of Danbury, Wisconsin; daughters, Robin Deem-Culbertson (partner Beverly) of Wisconsin, Kim Streit (significant other, T.J. Hummel) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son Mike Reich of North Platte; granddaughters, Latosha Reich, Jordan Culbertson, Madison Pacheco, and Mackenzie Streit; grandson Chase Leisure; great grandchildren, Hayden McCraney and Ariabella Pacheco; honorary brother Jack Kunzelman; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Steve and Henry; honorary brother, Jay Conrad.

Betty Rieker, age 94, passed away September 9, 2020 at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska

She was born November 15, 1925 on the family farm north of Eustis, Nebraska, daughter of Otto and Sophia (Yeutter) Bartruff.&nbsp; Betty was baptized at the Eustis Methodist Church. She attended rural school through 8th&nbsp;grade. Betty graduated from Eustis High School with the class of 1943.&nbsp; After High School, she taught rural school north of Cozad, Nebraska for two years.&nbsp; Due to her mother’s passing, Betty returned to help her father care for their home and her two younger sisters. &nbsp; On April 15, 1947, Betty married Leonard Rieker. They were blessed with three daughters, Christine, Karen and Debra. They lived and farmed east of Farnam, Nebraska. From caring for livestock, to marketing grain, Betty was an integral part of their farming operation.&nbsp; She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran church.

Leonard passed away on October 23, 1985.&nbsp; Betty continued to enjoy her life on the farm. Her home was always welcoming. Betty’s flowers and beautiful farmyard were a testament to her love of the outdoors.&nbsp; She moved to Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg, Nebraska in October, 2015.

Betty exercised her God given gift of caring for others. &nbsp; Her visits, casseroles and homemade pretzels were appreciated by many.&nbsp; Betty grew up playing cards for fun, and always enjoyed a good game.&nbsp; She often attended ball games and always supported youth activities, including 4-H and the WINGS program at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Betty delighted in her family, most specifically her grandchildren. She patiently taught them many life skills- driving, canning, playing cards and pretzel making, just to name a few. Betty Reiker  (1925-2020)



Louis "Lou" &nbsp;Bovitz, age 77, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died September 8, 2020 at Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg, NE. &nbsp;

He was born September 10, 1942 in Hibbing , Minnesota, son of &nbsp;Rudolph and Frances (Bradach) Bovitz.&nbsp; Lou grew up in the Hibbing, MN area and graduated from Hibbing High School and Hibbing Technical College. He served his country in the US Army and the National Guards.&nbsp; He spent the majority of his working career in the computer industry, working as a programmer and computer analyst.&nbsp; He was the head of the service contract department for several large companies such as IBM and Hewlett/Packard.&nbsp; Lou moved to Gothenburg in 2005 at the start of the "work from home" era. &nbsp;

He attended the American Lutheran Church where he served on various boards.&nbsp; He was the Chairman of City Planning and Zoning; on the City Board of Adjustment; and the Board of Directors at Wild Horse Golf Course.&nbsp; He proudly served as a member of the Gothenburg Honor Guard and was a member of the Gothenburg Rotary Club.&nbsp; Anyone who had the opportunity to meet and get to know him would walk away and think "wow people like this really do exist".&nbsp; He was always kind and considerate, but most of all a gentleman.

Lou was passionate about the outdoors.&nbsp; He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer.&nbsp; He could spend hours just sitting in one spot during hunting or fishing season never bag anything, just happy to be outdoors. He loved being on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and took many trips to Sturgis.

Many friends walk in and out of our lives and never leave a foot print.&nbsp; Lou left that foot print in the lives of everyone he met. We will miss you and wish you Gods speed on your journey.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Patridge; son Stephen (Jennifer) Bovitz; grandchildren Sarah Patridge, Nathan Patridge, Haley Bovitz and Isabella Bovitz; his siblings - Judy (Martin) Kerr, Audrey Laliberte, Larry (Val) Bovitz and Mark Bovitz.&nbsp; Lou also leaves behind many friends including Doug and Regis Swanson, Jo Fuller, and special neighbors Jon &amp; Tara Hudson, the members of the Gothenburg Honor Guard and a host of other friends.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his life partner, Jean Fourroux; as well as a brother-in-law Bill Laliberte.

Funeral services were held at American Lutheran Church,&nbsp;1511 Ave G, Gothenburg, NE, on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jon Mapa officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Burial will take place at a later date in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Norma J. Babcock, age 86, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte.

Norma was born on April 7, 1934 to harvey Herman and Martha Kathern (Stiegemeier) Hobrock in Hastings, Nebraska where she grew up.&nbsp; She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and attended Hastings Public Schools, graduating in 1952.&nbsp; She went on to Hastings College, then the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, earning her teaching certificate.&nbsp; Norma taught in Lincoln and Hastings in Nebraska, and at Sandia Base Kindergarten in Albuquerque, New Mexico and starting in the 9th grade, she taught Sunday School at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings and later St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Mexico and Messiah Lutheran Church in North Platte, Nebraska.

On June 7, 1955, Norma was united in marriage to Roger C. Babcock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul M. deFreeze officiating.&nbsp; The couple was blessed with two children, Michael and Sharon, and over 65 years of marriage.

Norma enjoyed working with children and being active in organizations that helped children.&nbsp; She served on various boards including St. Luke's Weekday Kindergarten, Camp Fire Girls and Commission of Christian Concern.&nbsp; Norma was also coordinator of the Sunday Church School at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Genealogy was Norma's hobby.&nbsp; She enjoyed compiling family histories for both her family and Roger's family.&nbsp; Norma leaves her family with a rich history of their past.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Martha Hobrock; and a sister and her husband, Dorothy and Gail Harrenstein.

Norma is survived by her husband, Roger of North Platte and their children, Michael (Vicki) Babcock of Manassas, Virginia and Sharon (Jean) Babcock of Ft. Defiance, Virginia; and other family.

Michael ‘Mike’ Arney, age 67, passed away August 15, 2020, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.

Mike was born September 21, 1952, in North Platte, Nebraska to Harriet (Lagerquist) and Bob Arney and later graduated North Platte High School in 1971.

In March 1973, Mike married Kerma Saling and his only child, Brandi, was born later that year. He and Kerma later divorced.

Mike worked in the air cargo business at the Denver airport for 15 years then became the regional manager at TruGreen Chemlawn in Denver.

Mike was an avid golfer and was even a volunteer coach of the University of Nebraska women's golf team. He attended lots of Husker football games and loved taking his daughter and grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler, to those games.

Survivors include his daughter, Brandi Dukes of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Dukes; brother, Jeff Arney of Utah; sister, Becky Arney of California; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Myron M. Maseberg, 75, of North Platte, passed away September 8, 2020 at his home. He was born July 13, 1945 to Gladys (Garrett) Maseberg in North Platte.

Myron graduate from North Platte High School in 1963 then went to McCook College for one year. He entered the United States Air Force serving at Fort Mead, MD and the Island of Crete. After his discharge he attended the Milwaukee Institute of Technology and he graduated with an accounting degree.

Myron married Elaine B. Bodtke on August 10, 1969 in Milwaukee. They settled in North Platte and Myron was a self-employed contractor for many years.

Myron is survived by his wife Elaine of North Platte; two sons, Mark Maseberg of North Platte, Paul (Nicole) Maseberg of Winfield, IL; grandchildren, Hunter, Noah, Miles, and Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Maseberg; brother Gary Maseberg; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Maseberg.

Connie M. Brandes, 87, of Deming, New Mexico, formerly of Maywood, NE, passed away on September 1, 2020, in Deming. Connie was born November 19, 1932, to Henry C. and Veda M (Ryker) Cooper, in Wellfleet, NE. She attended grade school at Opal Springs and graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1951.

Connie was dating someone else at the time and had a date with him one evening, when Chuck stopped by unexpectedly, he persuaded Connie to go out with him and would not take no for an answer. They married on March 18, 1951 at the Wellfleet Baptist Church, which lead to a wonderful life together and have had many great memorable times together, wonderful travels, also three wonderful children and 7 very special grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, which enriched their lives immensely. They lived in Maywood where Chuck and Connie owned and operated the telephone company, until 1977, Connie ran the switchboard. They moved to Yuma, AZ for a year, then to Ramona, CA.&nbsp;&nbsp; They went to full time motor homing for several years before settling in Deming, NM.

Connie was an herbalist and very knowledgeable about natural remedies. She was a very caring and loving person, always had empathy for her family. She was a 4H leader and taught knitting.

Survivors include her husband Chuck of Deming, NM, three children; Monty (Carol) Brandes, Sierra Vista, AZ, Mark (Julie) Brandes, North Platte, NE, Karen (James) Perdew, Ramona, CA; sister; Anita Berghouse, Ramona, CA; seven grandchildren; Aaron (Mandy) Brandes, North Platte, Amy Brandes, North Platte, Adam (Keiko) Brandes, Japan, Jesse (Christina) Brandes, North Platte, Nicole (Kyle) Austin, North Platte, Brandon (Stephanie) Perdew, Ramona, CA and Brittney (BJ) Zarcone, Ramona, CA, nine great grandchildren; Kaiden, Heilo, Kamryn, Kenadi, Andrew, Lilly, Zane, Garrett and Ryker. Along with numerous other family members and friends.

Connie was born November 19, 1932, to Henry C. and Veda M (Ryker) Cooper, in Wellfleet, NE.
